Quick Facts About Nancy's Nails

Nancy's Nails place has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one commenter mentioned that the place is clean. A clean environment is crucial in a nail salon as it ensures proper hygiene and a pleasant experience for customers. Additionally, another customer mentioned that they had a great relaxing time at the salon and praised the service, noting that the girls have soft and light hands. This positive feedback speaks to the quality of service and the skill of the nail technicians. Furthermore, the foot massages were described as a treat, which indicates that the salon provides additional services to enhance the customer's experience.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One customer complained about the poor quality of the gel set they received. The nails started to chip after just two days, suggesting that the products used may not be of high quality or properly applied. This reflects poorly on the salon's ability to deliver long-lasting and durable nail designs. Another customer expressed dissatisfaction with the service they received when attempting to get a new set of nails. They felt that they were forced into getting a refill instead and were not given the desired nail shape. This indicates a lack of communication and customer satisfaction on the part of the salon.
Furthermore, the commenter mentioned that they were charged multiple additional fees, including a fee for removing the old set and a fee for the length. This pricing structure may seem excessive to customers who are used to standard pricing in other salons. Another customer mentioned that some of the nail technicians at Nancy's Nails are great, while others are not. The inconsistency in service quality, coupled with one incident of a customer getting their finger cut, demonstrates a lack of professionalism and competence among the nail technicians. Additionally, the salon's poor management of appointments by making customers wait for extended periods is a major frustration for customers who value their time.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the salon's lack of modernity in terms of payment options. A customer from Texas mentioned that they were encouraged to pay with cash, which was inconvenient for them as they preferred card payments. This suggests that the salon may not have up-to-date payment processing systems in place and may need to adjust to the preferences of customers who rely on card payments.
Lastly, one commenter mentioned a negative experience with an eyebrow wax. The customer felt that the technician did not properly shape or groom their eyebrows, resulting in a waste of money and a disappointment. This indicates a lack of skill or attention to detail in the beauty service provided.
In conclusion, while Nancy's Nails place has some strengths such as a clean environment, friendly staff, and a relaxing atmosphere, the salon has multiple weaknesses to address. These include poor quality gel sets resulting in chipped nails, inconsistent service quality among the nail technicians, excessive fees, inefficient appointment management, outdated payment options, and a lack of expertise in eyebrow waxing. Addressing these weaknesses would be crucial for Nancy's Nails place to improve customer satisfaction and establish a stronger reputation in the beauty industry.

I got a basic black gel set but 2 days later they started to chip. When she put me under the nail light to dry the "gel" it burned. That never happened to me before and I've been doing my nails for 15 years. I am convinced she used basic nail polish and that's why it burned and they chipped so badly. I had tried to cut my nail and then file them down to hide the parts that chipped and that worked until I took a shower and they peeled/chipped more. I had to go buy nail polish remover to take the polish off. What a waste if $70. Avoid this spot
place is clean but the service that i receive was very poor. I make an appointment or a full set, the lady start fighting with me because she didn't want to do a new set,she start telling me that my nails were great and i only need a refill after fighting for a few minutes i agree for a refill. She ask me what shape i want and told her that want coffin style,my original stile was stilettos and long, she cut my nails so short, and i told her that i didn't want it that short, then she said with the style that you had it will be short ,so told her that's why made an appointment for a new set. Then she told me she don't have time for a new set and somebody else were going to do it. That Place charge me $40 for the new set,$10.00 for the remove of the old set and $10.00 for the length. Im been going to a many places and never been charge all those fees. Never going back.
I would give more starts if I could. I just had a great relaxing time at this salon. The service is great, the girls have very soft and light hands, and the feet massage is awesome. I'll be back there very soon.
Very good service! A bit disappointed that the Deluxe pedicure did not include soaking in gel or a hot stone component to the massage. I was also not a fan of being encouraged to pay with cash -I barely had enough for the cost of the pedicure itself and no cash to spare for a tip (if I could have paid with a credit card, I would have left an adequate tip). Coming from Texas (a state that, oddly enough, feels more modern in many ways?), I am not used to carrying (much) cash ever, and I'm not looking forward to carrying cash here in California -it's less safe, my wallet will bulk up, and I'll have to make periodic stops at ATMs (very inefficient).
I have always been a ‘walk in’ and majority of the time they have taken me. They do a great job and the foot massages are a treat. I never feel rushed and love ‘my time’ at Nancy’s. In addition, they were already closed but they took me anyway ....
Some nail techs here are great others are not. One cut my finger badly. Very uneven service and they are terrible at managing their schedule - they make appointments and then have you wait up to 30 minutes. This happened to me more than once and I've watched them do it to others. They have no explanation - other than "sorry" we're doing the best we can. Either just do walk ins or figure out how to keep the schedule for customers that can't sit around all day waiting for you. Very frustrating.
Really nice and friendly place and my pedicure was pretty good. I would visit again.
I was excited to try this place for quit some time.Since i moved right around the corner. I finally went in yesterday for an eyebrow wax. Definitely needs retraining again my eyebrows were horrible. They lady just waxed them didnt use tweezers after so plugg out the rest of the hair didnt cut or shape . what a waste of 15 dollars.although i did give her a 5 dollar tip maybe she can use it to save up for another eyebrow class .
