Quick Facts About Pie Corner Fish Bar
Pie Corner Fish Bar has a mix of positive and negative comments, providing a balanced view of its strengths and weaknesses. In terms of strengths, customers praise the quality of the food, with mentions of lovely fish, scrumptious chips, and a variety of meal options. The chips are particularly highlighted as being not at all greasy. Friendly staff and prompt service are also commended, especially considering the busy nature of the establishment. Additionally, there are positive comments about the availability of vegan options, with the vegan fish and mushy pea fritter being highly recommended.
However, there are also a number of weaknesses highlighted in the comments. Firstly, there are complaints about the wait time for fish, with one customer describing it as "painfully slow." Although the slow service can be attributed to everything being made fresh, it seems that the wait time can be excessive, leading some customers to miss out on certain menu items. The lack of enthusiasm and smiles from the staff is also mentioned, which can impact the overall dining experience.
Another weakness mentioned is the poor vegan options. While the vegan fish and chips used to be a popular choice at Pie Corner Fish Bar, it is no longer available, and the current vegan options are deemed to be insufficient. Furthermore, customers find the overall cost to be rather expensive, suggesting that the prices may not be justified based on the quality and variety of options available.
In terms of recommendations for improvement, it is clear that the wait time for food needs to be addressed. Customers should not have to wait excessively or miss out on menu items due to delays. Additionally, the staff should work on their enthusiasm and customer service skills to ensure a more pleasant dining experience.
Despite these weaknesses, the strengths of Pie Corner Fish Bar should not be overlooked. The positive comments about the food quality, friendly staff, and the availability of vegan options demonstrate the potential of the establishment. With some improvements in areas of weakness, Pie Corner Fish Bar could become an even more popular choice for fish and chips, appealing to a wider range of customers.

Lovely food but did have to warm the pie and curry at home
Chips so nice not at all greasy would visit again
*Painfully slow*
I know it’s all made fresh but the wait for fish is painfully slow, service without a smile or any enthusiasm.
Told to wait to order my food until my fish was ready, by that time the pies and sausage in batter I wanted had been taken and then I had to wait even longer for more to be cooked.
Some customers were told it’s a 20 minute wait for fish ????
The food however is ok
Friendly staff and prompt service even though they were very busy. The vegan fish was amazing, so was the mushy pea fritter. I'll definitely be going back!
A great little chippy, with friendly staff, good choice of meals (battered halloumi is a treat) freshly prepared (order your battered stuff as soon as you enter, they cook it fresh so there's a wait), and so close to the M4 we prefer it to the services (if only it had a loo...)
Just had a beautiful piece of cod and scrumptious chips. Quick friendly service.
Lovely staff very friendly and helpful but very poor vegan options. They used to be the go to plaice for vegan fish and chips. No longer available and rather expensive overall...????
Really good and nice to see vegan options. Will be back to try that battered vegan sausage (please keep on the menu!!)
Great food. Very friendly staff. Have to have my after work fix at least twice a week ????
