Quick Facts About Pro Nails & Spa Catonsville

Pro Nails & Spa Catonsville certainly has a mix of positive and negative reviews from customers. In order to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of this place, let's examine the comments provided.
Starting with the negative comments, many customers express dissatisfaction with the quality of the service they received. One customer mentioned that the technician did not properly clean off the nail powder from filing before applying the dip powder. Additionally, the same customer noted that the tips were not fully glued to their nails, causing dirt to accumulate between the nail and the tip. This suggests that attention to detail may be lacking at Pro Nails & Spa Catonsville.
Another customer mentioned a lack of attention to detail during their manicure, such as failing to clean under the nails and push the cuticles properly. Additionally, the gel polish started chipping after just a few days, indicating potential issues with the longevity of the service provided.
Several customers also expressed concerns about the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the salon. One customer mentioned that there was no plastic lining in the pedicure bowl, which made them question the cleanliness of the salon's tools. Another customer expressed doubts about the cleanliness of the bowls and the tools used during their pedicure, stating that they could clearly see that sanitation practices were lacking.
In terms of pricing, one customer felt overcharged and deceived by the salon. They were initially quoted $40 for a gel polish change, but when they called to inquire later, they were told it should have been $35. This raises concerns about the transparency and honesty of the salon's pricing practices.
On the positive side, one customer mentioned having a good experience and being satisfied with the service provided. They specifically praised their nail technician, Dan, for his expertise and efficiency.
Based on these comments, the strengths of Pro Nails & Spa Catonsville appear to be the friendliness of some of the staff members and the experience and skill of certain technicians. However, there are several weaknesses that stand out, such as a lack of attention to detail, issues with the longevity of the services provided, concerns about cleanliness and sanitation practices, and potential transparency issues with pricing.
In order to improve, Pro Nails & Spa Catonsville should address these weaknesses by implementing better quality control measures, ensuring technicians are properly trained and paying attention to every detail of the services they provide. Additionally, the salon should focus on maintaining a clean and sanitary environment and being transparent and consistent with their pricing. By making these improvements, Pro Nails & Spa Catonsville can enhance the overall customer experience and build a stronger reputation.

Best TL Reviews

First of all this was my first time getting dip powder. The lady didn't clean off the nail powder from filing. So underneath the dip was powder from my nails. The lady had a hard time putting tips on my thumbs. She had to keep putting new ones on because she was stingy with the glue and it wouldn't stay on. After my nails were done, they looked good. I was charged $70. As i looked at my nails, I realized they didn't fully glue the tip to my nails (most were grown out). With it like that, dirt would get in between my nail and the tip. Also 4 days in, I already had my index nail come off. I'm 11 days in now and had 3 diff nails pop off a couple times. I bought a nail glue to keep gluing it back on. Definitely not going back here again. I had people look at my nails, they looked good but the underneath part was messed up horribly. DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON.
The person that did my services was really nice but I don't think she should be doing nails. I told her she forgot the clear coat and she was too old to argue with so it's my fault that I left it alone. The only nail that got the clear coat is the one not chipping with the design that was over priced. The Manicure was not up to par at all. No attention to detail during my manicure. Like cleaning under my nails, pushing my cuticles, she just went through the motions without really doing much. Gel polish started chipping after 2 days and after 5 days in the photo, most were chipping off. First and last time here. I'm sticking to My Mani- Lux. Never disappointed with their services.
On day 1, things were fine immediately after service, but by day 2, the little rhinestones started falling off. Now it's 4 days later and the gel on one index finger is already starting to peel. I had a feeling things might not go well when I asked for examples of their designs and they had none to offer, so I tried to keep it really simple, but even that backfired. The experience was fine, though - no rudeness, no distracted behaviors, hygienic from what I could see. One manicurist was even firm on the mask policy with a customer, which was reassuring. But the quality? The hunt for a decent gel manicure and design continues~
Update: The last pic is after 9 days. In total, 3 chipped nails and 1 surviving rhinestone for a gel manicure after only 9 days is unacceptable. Definitely won't be back.
I took my mom here for a gel manicure, first time and last one ! It’s been a week only and they already stating to pill of ! Since we left this place I saw her nails they look awful, I got for myself a pedicure and since they told me to put my feet on the bowl I was like disgusted because there was no plastic like in other places, I’m sure they don’t sanitize the bowls, or anything they used to do my toes I could clearly see that !
About a month and a half ago, I came here and had the worst possible experience. Initially, I wanted to report this salon to the Better Business Bureau, for lying to me about pricing and over charging me as well as unfair treatment by the receptionist who also somehow by the grace of God claims to be a manager. When I came here last, all I wanted was a gel polish change which was executed very well by Wendy. She was a fabulous technician, and very good at what she did. However, when it was time for me to pay they told me my total was 40.00, and I thought that was pretty steep just for a polish change. I decided to ignore it, but as I was on my way home it kept bothering me. So, I called the salon and faked a British accent because I have a very distinct voice and did not want them to know it was me. I said "Hello, how much do you all charge for a gel polish change?" and the lady on the phone said 35.00. In that moment I switched my voice back to normal and asked why I was just charged 40.00. She could not give me an answer (mind you this is the woman who claims to be a manager) and then tried to back track and say "Gel cost more, Gel cost more." In that moment I just hung up the phone on her.
Even though that experience left plenty to be desired, I was very pleased with the way Wendy did my nails, so I decided to call and make an appointment. The lady (same one who claims to be a manager) is the one helping me make the appointment, and all I asked her was the name of the technician who was doing my nails. Her response was and I quote "Someone help you" So now I'm concerned because I don't have an assigned nail tech, and I wanted it to be Wendy. I swallowed that, and just asked her "Whoever it is can you refer me to their portfolio or Instagram so I can see their work" and she told me none of the techs have an Instagram which now I'm just kind of like......what lmao! It's 2023! How is this possible? So, I swallowed that. Came into the salon and was in a great mood despite the treatment I received from her earlier in the day. When I got there, the one lady who wasn't the manager was very pleasant, and she told me to pick a color. When I finished, the lady who claims to be a manager said I would have to wait. At this point, I was just furious. I had swallowed my pride enough dealing with this sad excuse of a human being, and I could not contain myself any longer. After she informed me I would have to wait, I said "I don't understand why if I had an appointment why I have to wait." Her response to that was "Why are you always so difficult". At this point I was livid, started screaming at her in the salon, which I do feel bad about since I disturbed the services of other customers. However, I had taken enough disrespect from the business to let it go unnoticed. I hope this place gets shut down, and that the manager of this establishment gets fired. Maybe her pink Maserati will pay her bills since the customers aren't worth anything to her.
This place is completely UNPROFESSIONAL. I used to come here all the time before I left for college. Now that I’m back the service is terrible, I waited 40 minutes for a pedicure when they said I would be seen in 20, that was just to go back and have my feet soaked. A technician didn’t come to do my pedicure for another 20 minutes! Do better
Please DO NOT do business with them. I went for a French pedicure (Milk & Honey) and the guy told me $80, they took me at 6:00 so I was ok with that. When I got to the register they changed the price to $105 with very little explanation. Just like anyone, I was livid but of course I didn’t want to make it about money rather than the principle of the situation. French for your fingernails is nowhere near that price so if they are using less polish for your toes, $105 does not make any sense. I ONLY got a pedicure that’s it.. please do not support them! It’s sad that they are in the business of getting over
I had a really great experience here! I went in on a Tues at 1pm and they saw me immediately without an appointment. They gave me exactly what I asked for and I couldn't be happier. My nail tech was Dan, and we worked quickly, but delicately, and you could tell he had been doing this for years and was great at his job!
