Quick Facts About Rafael's Italian Restaurant
Rafael's Italian Restaurant has both strengths and weaknesses, as highlighted by the comments above. Starting with the strengths, one common theme is the quality of their food. Customers have praised their gyros, pizza, and ravioli, mentioning that everything is generally very good. This indicates that the restaurant has a strong culinary aspect, with delicious options to satisfy different tastes. The two for pizza deal is also highlighted as a strength, suggesting that Rafael's offers good value for money.
Another strength mentioned is the attentiveness and helpfulness of one of the staff members, Andrew, who went above and beyond to accommodate a customer's request for a high chair for her daughter's doll. This demonstrates that some employees at Rafael's are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common complaint is the customer service. Multiple customers have described interactions with rude and unhelpful staff members. One customer reported feeling like they were being dishonest when trying to request garlic bread instead of breadsticks. They were then abruptly hung up on by the person taking their order. Another customer mentioned being put on hold for extended periods of time and then hung up on twice during phone orders. These negative customer service experiences indicate a lack of professionalism and a need for improvement in this area.
In addition to the poor customer service, there are also comments regarding incorrect orders. One customer mentioned receiving the wrong spaghetti without meatballs and being met with a dismissive attitude from the staff. This suggests that there may be a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for customer satisfaction when it comes to order accuracy. Another customer mentioned an issue with their pizza, where the toppings were not prepared according to their specific request and the overall taste was unpleasant. This highlights a weakness in the kitchen's ability to deliver orders exactly as requested and maintain consistency in taste.
Furthermore, the ambiance and aesthetic of the restaurant are mentioned as weaknesses. One comment refers to the motif being "a little tired," suggesting that the interior design or décor may be outdated or unimpressive. While this may not directly impact the food quality, it can influence the overall dining experience and customer perception of the restaurant.
In conclusion, Rafael's Italian Restaurant has strengths in terms of the quality and variety of their food offerings, as well as the positive interactions with some of their staff members. However, weaknesses are evident in the areas of customer service, order accuracy, and ambiance. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order to improve the overall dining experience and maintain customer satisfaction.

Although the motif is a little tired, their food is really good. I am particularly fond of their gyros and their pizza is also really good while the two for pizza deal is hard to beat. My wife likes their ravioli (I get to clean up any remaining meat sauce. It is very good). Although maybe not the best in the area, everything is very good so you really can't go wrong here.
When ordering spaghetti I have almost always been given bread sticks with my order and I actually prefer garlic bread. I was given garlic bread maybe once with it. So when ordering recently I asked for garlic bread instead of bread sticks. I was told that garlic bread always comes with the spaghetti and that one has to request breadsticks. I informed the female taking my order that this had not been my experience and that I have never requested bread sticks.I don't like the bread sticks and this was my first time even making an attempt to say anything to ensure I was getting garlic bread. I was very polite til the end and said thank you. Not only was I made to feel like I was being dishonest, but this female replied to my thank you by just hanging up. No bye, no your welcome, no telling me how long it was going to be. The food is delicious, but the customer service was very rude.
Called and was immediately put on hold for 6 mins until someone picked up phone just to hang up, called back was immediately put back on hold for 9 mins more until phone was picked up again then hung back up on a second time. Was literally driving by figured I could go in to place my order, place was empty two very rude young men on the register and answering phones. Had to ask three times to speak with manager and she said the phone just does that. Great pizza terrible service.
My family and I ate here today and the boy working was extremely great. I think he said his name was Andrew but I just wanted to say thank you Andrew for getting my daughter a high chair for her “baby”. This man got my daughter a high chair for her doll. We need more people like him in the work place
Very rude, gave me the wrong spaghetti, no meatballs as I ordered and their excuse was we didn't charge you for meatballs and walked away, being handicapped I asked if they could carry my wife's tray to the table and again walked away and ignored me. Piss poor attitude from the girl with stars ????painted around her eyes and the boy didn't get the order right. I won't be back. Poor attitude and very rude.
Rachael's has good food but who ever they have fixing pizza needs a lesson. I always oder the pizzas with just pepperoni and well done. This is why...... I called in the pizza for pepperoni, banana peppers, and jalapeños and on one small slice there was 2 pepperoni, 6 banana peppers and 12 jalapeño slices. The pizza just tasted like the vinegar from all of the pickled peppers on the pizza and impossible to eat. They also do not know what well done means. Its a little bit more of a drive to Tullahoma but they are 100% better.
Had the Italian cheese stake with mushrooms and a side of fries. The food was excellent. You order then wait for your number to be called and get your own food.
Lol if you like real Italian food don't go here you won't be happy. Sad excuse for lasagna. Don't get the fried mushrooms. The spinach feta calzone was three most eatable thing we had.
