Quick Facts About Red Persimmon Nails
Red Persimmon Nails has a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the strengths mentioned is that the salon is good at doing nails. Multiple commenters mentioned that they were satisfied with the outcome of their nails and appreciated the technicians' work. This indicates that the salon has skilled and talented nail technicians who can deliver high-quality results.
Another strength is that the salon offers a variety of services. Commenters mentioned getting manicures, pedicures, acrylics, gel sets, and eyebrow waxing at Red Persimmon Nails. This suggests that the salon has a wide range of services to meet different customers' needs.
The salon also receives praise for its work on ingrown toenails. One commenter specifically mentioned that the pedicurist at Red Persimmon Nails did an excellent job in dealing with their ingrown toenails. This indicates that the salon has staff members who are skilled in addressing specific foot care issues and providing gentle service.
On the other hand, the salon has some weaknesses that were mentioned in the comments. One common criticism is the poor customer service provided by certain staff members, particularly the gentleman at the counter. Commenters mentioned that he was rude, did not communicate effectively, and did not confirm the total cost. This indicates a lack of professionalism and customer care.
Another weakness mentioned is the long waiting times and delays. Several commenters experienced delays in being seen for their appointments and mentioned that the salon operates on a first-come, first-served basis rather than honoring scheduled appointments. This can be frustrating for customers who have made the effort to arrive on time or even early for their appointments.
There were also complaints about an incident of body shaming that occurred in the salon. One commenter mentioned that a technician made derogatory comments about a little girl's weight in front of her. This type of behavior is unprofessional and offensive and reflects poorly on the salon's culture and values.
In terms of pricing, some commenters mentioned feeling overcharged or confused about the pricing. One commenter mentioned being charged a higher amount than quoted and feeling pressured to leave a tip. This indicates a lack of transparency in pricing and potentially unethical practices when it comes to payment.
Overall, while Red Persimmon Nails has strengths in terms of skillful nail technicians and a variety of services, there are clear weaknesses in customer service, professionalism, and communication. The incident of body shaming is particularly egregious and should be addressed by the salon management. Additionally, improvements could be made in terms of transparency in pricing and honoring scheduled appointments.

I have went here twice and ive tried to give them a 3rd chance but I've been cut on the finger by them. There good at doing nails . They did a good job all 3 times but my fingers are stinging because of the cuts
I took my little cousin to get her nails done for the first time here 11/20 about 3PM. The nail tech said wow and I said yes she is tall like me. She said, she’s also big this way and held out her arms. We had said she plays basketball and she said maybe that will help her lose weight because she is very fat and pointed at her stomach. I told the tech that she’s a little kid and will grow out of it. My cousin pretended to not understand her accent and smiled behind tears. I talked to my cousin after and she told me that lady was very mean and yelled at her when I was across the room, with miscommunication on where she was supposed to place her nails to dry. The techs said the mani pedis were $40 for each of us, however the man at the counter charged $100 and asked for tip. Because I believe in karma and my tech was professional, I still tipped $20 but we will never go there again. I didn’t get the name but she had a red sweater and green vest.
I love this place me and my sister go here. I recently even got my daughters toes done and she was in love here is a pic of my daughters toes it's what she asked for to the T. Very happy with the service here.
Went here because I couldn't get an appointment anywhere else. I had an appointment at 10:30 but didn't even sit in the chair to get my nails done until 11:40. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and was told I would be seen by 10:30. This place is extremely busy and I doesn't matter if you have an appointment its more of a first come, first serve type of place. The lady who did my nails did a good job. She gave me exactly what I had asked for and kept asking if they looked ok throughout the process. I got French tip with white and natural powder. The gentleman who always answers the phone and receives payment was rude. He didn't even confirm my total or speak to me. He just set the ticket down on the counter of how much it cost and waited for me to pay. I will have to see if the nails hold up to decide if I will return.
I have some of the worst ingrown toenails ever. Today, my pedicurist had to dig out deep in-grown toenails embedded on both sides of the nail on 8 out of 10 toes. She worked patiently and tirelessly for one hour before proceeding with the rest of the pedicure. If it were not for this pedicurist at Red Persimmon, I would have to see a podiatrist twice a month and I'm sure I would not receive the same gentle service.
This place is trash and un professional in so many ways. the lady in the red sweater with green vest who did a customer and her daughters nails today 11.20.22had the nerve to call the little girl who was tall for her age call the 8 yr old fat and continue to call her fat right in front of her. Who the he'll does that. Are you kidding me. You should go dig a hole and jump in it. Your mouth needs to be zipped if you are not having a good day. . Who ever owns this shop needs to get rid of her because she will. Bring your business down.
New to the area, tried 4 other people for my acrylics and then I found Dan! He did a fantastic job and is super nice! As a hairstylist I know what to look for..I found my nail technician! His name is DAN! So happy!

I've been here a few times for my acrylic gel set and way more times for eyebrow waxing and I couldn't have been happier. Besides the very first time 4 years ago when the lady did my nails wide thick and raised, weren't files down. Ethan (I think is his name) does amazing work. Every time I went I ask for him personally. There is a wait usually and often I do feel I was forgotten, but amazing work once i get settled in.
**update: went for my birthday July 2021**
Not the best job they've done. Everything was rushed and the nail lengths were off. Pollo
