However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed. It is mentioned that the drinks at Royal Oak Place are disappointing, with limited options for beer lovers and poor quality wine. This could be a major drawback for customers seeking a variety of drink choices or higher-quality beverages. Furthermore, the pub's own car park has been noted as a concern, as there are issues with parking regulations and signage, leading to customers receiving parking tickets. This can potentially create a negative experience and inconvenience for patrons.

Great Pub. Great Food, friendly Staff and the Customer make you feel very welcome
Absolute hidden gem. Lovely garden to the front. Great value Thai Menu. Pretty quiet on a nice sunny Friday, pretty good COVID-19 measures. Felt slot safer than old town.
Great night with Annie Galore playing bingo . She had us all in stitches ????
The staff are lovely and friendly but the drinks are woeful. I do like a nice ale or craft beer but alas, there was none of that here. It all seemed to be lagers and ciders. The nearest thing I could get was a bottle of Newcastle brown from the fridge cabinet. My other half likes a Sauvignon Blanc so I ordered a glass of that. It was awful. It tasted like £2.99 a bottle stuff. The pub was clean and tidy and the toilets were clean. The pub has it's own car park. It's just the drinks that let it down.
A big thank you to the Royal Oak, our extended family from America came for a long overdue visit for a get together, lovely staff, brilliant food and a big shout out to DJ Kev, thanks to all involved for a marvellous night xx
I was only there for a dart match but found it to be a very friendly place, bar staff pleasant and efficient beer good.
Had a great night, live band, danced my little socks off...... Until hubby got stung for a parking ticket within the pub carpark picking me up. Just a warning, sign in your reg as you go into the pub if you are going to be longer than 15mins. Signage not that obvious in carpark ????
Quite busy due to old town festival, bar made most of it by having bbq, slide and live band. Very enjoyable afternoon, plenty of staff to ease rhe queues.
