The staff is always professional & I have never been disappointed!! Even when I have a difficult design or request, they go out of their way to make sure I get what I want. They’ve been very patient, especially with my aunt who has special needs & my grandmother. Plus, it’s a woman-owned, black-owned, local business. I drive across DC to see them & get exceptional service every time!
LOVE THE VIBE AT sassy. Customer service when booking my appointment via phone and once I got into the store was excellent. My nail tech, Nintendo, helped me choose my Fall color. He was attentive and fulfilled my many requests professionally. Will return. Added bonus it is Black-owned! I enjoyed this Spa pedi!!
I live around the corner from this shop and I will be going elsewhere from now on. I’ve only been there twice, and both times my nails were not what I asked for and we’re messed up before I left the shop. I asked for gel, both times, and both times I was given regular polish that smeared before I left… I figured the first time back in May was a fluke, but it just happened again today. I was hoping it was just a hiccup, but the technician didn’t even seem interested in fixing the issue and was blaming me for the mistake.
I am also in service and hospitality, if I treated my guests this way I’d be out of a job. I will not be returning.
Sassy is my go-to salon. Not only do I get to support a sista but I consistently get great service and beautiful nails.

I used to go here all the time it's in my neighborhood but the last time I had an appt I went in & the vibe was meh. No one greeted me I waited for 15min & left.
I've been going to Sassy for 15 years. The owner is amazing and has some great great workers. Kudos to running a successful business that is accessible and in our neighborhood.

DO NOT COME HERE! There were only two great nail techs here they left and got their own shop. The other nail techs aren’t good at all! I schedule an appointment I arrive a bit early just in case, I notice the nail tech I had schedule for. Was doing someone’s pedicure once I arrived, I told the receptionist to get some clarification on what’s going on. She was highly confused and didn’t help, I messaged the owner Sassy on IG. She ignored my messages and kept posting pictures on the shop page. Later she got back to me and try to turn the whole situation on me saying I arrived early. You should be thankful I was a bit early for my appointment, but still the nail tech would have not been done in time for my appointment. Another issue is the very uncomfortable wood chairs for customers to sit on. Also let’s not forget about the only guy who works in the nail shop. He spends all day in front of the nail salon smoking WEED which the owner knows. This place nail shop really is ghetto and unprofessional now save yourself the time and money!!
As you can see from the owner response to my review, she is EXTREMELY LATE to address concerns. I wrote this review over one year ago, I see recent reviews from other customer not much has change. Nothing but excuses from the owner, there is no ownership in improving their mishaps. There is no reason tech should lap appointments especially if there is a receptionist or manager there. I arrived to my appointment 15 mins early, at 3:15 my appointment was for 3:30 the nail tech was just stating on a pedicure. At 3:45 I left the nail salon the receptionist knew I had an appointment and did nothing to assist so I left and went to a different salon. The salon did have cheap wood chairs at the time that I had visit. One of the nail techs was outside smoking weed with some guys next door at the barbershop. Right in front of the salon while the salon door was open. Sassy customer service and overall service was HORRIBLE!!!
