Visited Shapla last night with friends. Hadn't been there for a long time and found it was under new management. The food & service was excellent but was surprised to see it so empty ! If you're in the area give these guys a call and I don't think you'll be disappointed, I'm sure they'll appreciate your custom.
Absolutely horrible food. No taste, stale and tiny portions.
Chicken Tikka was dry and tasteless. Chicken kalia gravy which was mentioned as hot and spicy tasted like sweet tomato puree. Garlic naan was small and half baked.
Never ordering from this place again.
Lovely take away delivered well on time by a very friendly young man Paul. We be ordering again very soon. Dave
1st time that we’ve eaten there since 2019 and the last time, food was awful, tasteless most probably canned food absolutely disgusting, they’ve absolutely been taken over by aliens excuse the pun, do not waste your money as all the food has the same taste (awful).
I’ve been eating Indian in several countries and this is definitely the worst.
Half the food ended up in the bin where it deserved to be.
Tandoori Lamb chop / paneer, wings was good ,nice marinations and soft bite. I would have given a 4 but the sheek kebab had a funny off smell to the mince mix and the House special curry was full of onions and bland no gravy in it and the Naan was burnt. Garlic mushrooms was full of chilli and onion .
The food was delicious and the waiters really courteous and attentive. Nice local find and quite inexpensive too.
Won’t be ordering again, hardly warm, keema Nann not cooked properly, tasteless
No where near as good as it used to be. Food ok but ambience has gone. Service bordering on poor. No hot plates on tables to keep food warm. Just a shame really. This used to be a favourite of ours.
