Quick Facts About Sheridan's Bar, Restaurant & Accommodation
Sheridan's Bar, Restaurant & Accommodation has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One strength of the establishment is the good value food offered on the 2 for £12 lunchtime menu from Monday to Friday. This indicates that customers can enjoy affordable meals during this time, making it an attractive option for those on a budget.
The staff at Sheridan's are also mentioned positively in several comments. They are described as lovely, attentive, and helpful, particularly during events such as birthday parties. This indicates that the staff are trained to provide good customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Another strength of the establishment is its location in Wallasey Village. Being well-located can make it more convenient for customers to access and can attract more foot traffic from locals.
However, there are also weaknesses that need to be addressed. One major complaint mentioned in a comment is the poor attitude of a specific barmaid. They were extremely rude to a customer who asked a legitimate question about dietary requirements, embarrassing the customer in front of their children. This indicates a lack of professionalism and customer service training by some employees, which can negatively impact the overall experience.
The pub atmosphere is another aspect that received mixed feedback. One customer mentioned that it had a great atmosphere during their visit, while another commented that it was hard to gauge due to the low number of people present. This suggests that the atmosphere may vary depending on the time and day of the visit.
Price is another weakness mentioned in the comments. One customer found the price of Madri, a type of beer, to be expensive compared to other establishments in Wallasey Village. This can deter potential customers looking for more affordable options.
The establishment's appearance is also criticized in a comment, with the suggestion that it could benefit from a refurbishment. This implies that the decor and overall aesthetics of the place might not be up to standard, potentially affecting the customer's perception of the establishment.
In terms of accommodation, one customer had negative experiences with their room. They mentioned various issues, including cold temperatures, drafty doors and windows, loose plug sockets, and exposed wiring. These issues can greatly impact the comfort and safety of guests staying in the accommodation, which creates a negative impression.
Lastly, there were mixed reviews regarding the quality of the food. While one comment mentioned beautiful, homemade food with high praise for the Diane sauce, another comment noted issues with the lasagne and burger. These inconsistencies suggest that the food might not always meet the expectations of all customers.
In conclusion, Sheridan's Bar, Restaurant & Accommodation has strengths in terms of affordable lunchtime menus, attentive staff, and a convenient location. However, they also face weaknesses related to poor customer service, inconsistent atmosphere, pricing, outdated decor, and issues with accommodation and food quality. Addressing these weaknesses can greatly improve the overall experience for customers and help maintain a positive reputation in the local community.

Good value food on the 2 for £12 lunchtime Mon-Fri menu
Went to my niece's 18th birthday party here. Lovely attentive staff. Great atmosphere. Generous parking facilities. Toilets were clean, as was the establishment as a whole. The staff were very helpful with the setting up of the food and balloons.
DO NOT ASK THE BARMAID A QUESTION ITS SIMPLY TOO MUCH!
Having her speak to you like quiet frankly like s*** on her shoe in front of your children!!! After asking if the vegetarian combo is suitable for vegetarians. The idea that I needed to know if meat was cooked in the same fryer was clearly not something I should be asking her and telling me to knock on the chefs door as its not a question for her. Dietary requirements CLEARLY not a thing here!!! AVOID unless being spoken to in such an unacceptable manner is your thing!
Well located pub in Wallasey Village.
I went on Friday at 5.45pm and there was probably around 30 people in the pub, so hard to gauge what the atmosphere would be like later in the evening.
Madri was £5/pint, which is probably a little on the expensive side for Wallasey.
I didn't eat there or stay in the hotel, so can't comment on either.
The place hasn't been decorated for a long time and could really do with a refurb.
The staff were very friendly.
Beautiful food. All homemade, my friend said it was the best Diane sauce that she has ever had!!!
The room was a good size with 4 beds. After settling in, it became very cold there were a gale blowing under the door the bathroom window did not close properly and there were no latch to close it. The bathroom was an ice box. The plug sockets were loose on the wall, also there was a gangway right next to the kettle with exposed flex not good at all. On speaking with the staff about the cold and needing the heating on they said if we do that all the heating comes on in the whole place which we later found out not to be true. They could have just put the hotel rooms heating on. Potentially a nice place to stay, but let down by the things I have mentioned. I would not stay again unless I want a cold.
Food not as good as previously. Lasagne did not have as much meat in it but was still nice..mate had a burger she did not eat it tasted funny and the chips were cold
We booked for a group of 30 last minute. The food was gorgeous and the price was so cheap. We were all so impressed! Can't wait to come back to try some more food! Service was brilliant and all the staff are lovely!
