Cheryll specifically highlighted Samantha as a wonderful technician who took note of her specific needs and preferences.
2. Clean and organized salon: Cheryll mentioned that Solar Nails is exceptionally organized, clean, and well-maintained. A clean and tidy salon can contribute to a pleasant and hygienic experience for customers.

4. Good customer service: Cheryll praised the friendly and professional staff, suggesting that they provide good customer service. This is an important aspect of any business, as it helps create a positive and enjoyable customer experience.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent service: The person who received acrylic nails from Julie had a negative experience. They mentioned that the second appointment with Julie was rushed and resulted in a poorly executed service. The customer was disappointed with the uneven French manicure and the overall quality of the nails. This inconsistency in service indicates a lack of attention to detail and consistency among the technicians.
2. Poor communication: The same customer mentioned that Julie did not communicate her preferences well, resulting in a service that did not meet their expectations. They stated that Julie did not follow through with fixing the lines on the nails and did not pay attention to the desired almond shape. This indicates a lack of effective communication between the customer and the technician, leading to a subpar result.
3. Questionable pricing practices: Another customer mentioned that they were charged a higher price than initially agreed upon. This indicates a lack of transparency in pricing and may lead to customer dissatisfaction.
4. Lack of skill and training: One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the overall service and suggested that the staff may lack adequate training. They mentioned that the technician had a hard time creating an almond shape and caused them to bleed during the service. This suggests a lack of skill and training among some of the technicians at Solar Nails.
5. Rude staff and poor service: One customer had an extremely negative experience, stating that the staff was disrespectful, untrained, and rude. They also mentioned that the service was of poor quality, with uneven shapes and bumps on the nail polish. This indicates a lack of professionalism and a hostile environment for customers.
Overall, Solar Nails has strengths in terms of positive customer experiences, cleanliness, skilled technicians, and good customer service. However, there are weaknesses in terms of inconsistent service, poor communication, questionable pricing practices, lack of skill and training among some technicians, and instances of rude staff and poor service. It is important for the salon to address these weaknesses in order to improve the overall customer experience and reputation of the business.
Best TL Reviews
Cheryll loves coming here after trying multiple other shops in the area and introduced me to a wonderful tech named Samantha. I am ticklish to the point I often elevate out of the massage chair when other less attentive or concerned techs have exfoliated my feet. Sam noted this on my first visit and provides the best pedicure ever since leaving me relaxing in the chair and not hovering over it. Shop is exceptionally organized clean and maintained. Staff is friendly and professional. No idea what resulted in the negative reviews but our experience at Solar Nails has been impressive and worth return trips.
I previously went here, I got a gel manicure and pedicure which I was pleased with so I decided to go back exactly a week later and get acrylic nails with the same person ( Julie ). The second time around she was not pleasant at all, I thanked her for taking my appointment as I wasn’t sure earlier that day if I was even going to be able to get one to which she responded and reiterated the man who does the calendar shouldn’t of scheduled me because she didn’t take clients past 5:30 which is perfectly okay if that is her scheduled , then she shouldn’t of taken me. She rushed through my nails, this is the picture I showed her of the French I wanted and this is the service I walked away with. I didn’t realize until I left and throughly inspected my nails how horrible they were. The French is uneven on all fingers, only three fingers do the lines on the side go all the way , she didn’t follow through at all even after I stopped her twice to fix the lines of the sides. The shape of the acrylic on some fingers is looped sided. Just all around bad. I would have rather been turned down and scheduled for another day than received horrible half effort service.
I even called to try to come in the next day to get it fixed but decided not to waste my time as I was so disappointed and dissatisfied.
Will never return here.
It is so bad i want to give them a zero…but that’s not possible so i give them a one. I asked for almond 3 times, she still had a hard time doing almond. By the time she made it into an almond shape, my nail size was extremely small. They also told me it would be $30 for a gel but charged me $40. Midway through, I saw that I was bleeding, I notified her and she said “I didn’t do that”. That’s a bit hard to understand especially since she was the one who was doing my nails. I also noticed that the lady started doing a subpar job after I told her about wanting an almond shape the 3rd time. I don’t think everyone here does this type of job, maybe she was learning and I was her Guinea pig for the day. However, all of their body languages changed after the almond incident. They weren’t particularly rude, I just did not have a good experience with them.
WORST NAIL SALON EVER! If there was a 0 start option I would’ve chose it. Went there for the first time as it was close to me, the staff were so disrespectful and untrained. The receptionist LEE had no respect for any customers, no manners or experience. It’s like they’re running a business with no certificates. I spent $85 dollars for nails with bumps on the nail polish and uneven shapes. When I went back to get it sorted he started shouting and saying no refunds, even though there was no sign. DO NOT GO
I did gel nails and it does not look like it at all… this is the first time I went to Solar Nails to give it a try but very disappointed. I was out of the salon in less than 15 mins…. More disappointing is she did not even do proper gel tips on the nails …. It feels and looks like regular nail polish that I would do it at home. I will never go again
Ive gone there twice- the staff DOES NOT KNOW what they are doing. I had an appointment with Alex first and then Julie. Julie is the rudest technician you'll ever meet. They are outright rude on top of being POOR at their job. Both of them did a TERRIBLE job. The cuticles are messy, nails are crooked, each nail is a different size. The service is horrible with a racist staff. They will only shut up if they see a $20 tip. THE WORST NAIL SALON EVER.
Got my nails done at a nail salon in California on Vacation but I came here for my refill since this is where I live. I mentioned to my lady that was doing my nails that my left pointer finger acrylic nail was coming off, all she did was clip the bottom of my acrylic off and kept the very tip of the acrylic on my nail. That did NOT last long, it lasted about two days until the whole thing fell off.. what she should of done like all other nail salons would’ve done was replace the acrylic nail! Not keep just the very tip of the nail on. Not to mention my nail polish is turning orange when it’s suppose to be pink!!(No it’s not mood change nail polish, posted a picture not sure if
You can see it!) i keep returning to this place cause it’s right by my house! Everytime I go it’s a bad experience. I will NOT be returning here ever again! Will drive the extra 10 mins to a different salon.
First time here. A little pricey (paid more than I did in IL) but overall good service. Really enjoyed Jenny - very creative nail artist. I'll be back!
2nd time was great too
