Today was my third trip to Touba's. I love this salon. They are so friendly. And they braid so fast! I arrived at 12:30 for medium box braids. They were finished by 4:30!! Not joke! 4 hours! And they're perfect!!
They took me in on a Saturday without an appointment. Hair took four hours, shorter than I expected . Bathroom wasn't clean and one braided was angrily cursing.
My loctician was booked so I called this place claiming they can do my retwist. I came there for 430 and didn’t get me hair done until around 5. The lady washed my hair but she didn’t do a good job doing it. She took 2 hours to do one side of my short locs and it seemed like she put the whole jar in my head bc my hair was covered in product… another 2 hours later she took me to the dryer and it still wasn’t dry…mind you it was 9pm and I had somewhere to go not knowing it would take over 4 hours to do my hair when their were ladies getting long braids that were done before me. I was under the dryer for almost an hour and figured my hair was never going to dry.. The lady claimed she had 2 years experience with locs with my hair but her actions showed that she didn’t know what she was doing. Don’t use the bathroom because it’s a hot mess with no soap so I’m knowing they don’t wash their hands. I’ll never return! On top of the service she charges more without being a loctician! Ladies I know your loctician is booked but don’t waste your time at this place you’ll regret it.
I enjoy the diligence, expertise, and skill of some of the quickest natural hair stylists that I've ever seen. The hands on those ladies work just as fast, if not faster than a machine. They provide high quality service. Their work is noticeable by the very tactful manner that each client's appearance is always well polished. Such care is appreciated.
I scheduled an appointment to come in for 9 am, I arrived a few minutes before than and no one was there and when I called no answer to my calls or texts but someone pulled up and opened but didn’t open the front door. Anyhow I’ve waited until I had my braids for a little while before making a review. I don’t like my hair I showed her a picture still and she didn’t do my hair according to it and it hasn’t been a month my braids are sliding off. I have 4C hair it’s no reason they should be coming out already or at all. For the price I should have gotten what I asked for and my braids shouldn’t be coming out. Also, what really rubbed me wrong was the lack of respect the younger African American girls had for the older African women it was upsetting and not caused for. Also, the the conversation wasn’t appropriate. I’ll have to continue to search for a Braider. I really wish the lady who used to braid my hair never moved away because this is exhausting and expensive
It was my first time there. The wait time for someone to come braid my hair was very short. The braiding time of the young lady that did my hair was very quick. The team work i seen them do while I was there was awesome. I’ll will definitely go back again.
They were excellent. I called and asked if they had an opening and I was able to get fitted in. I will be a repeat customer. I am pleased with their service and prices.
