New owners have installed all new equipment in the spot that used to be Star Nails. The technicians are top notch. Best pedicure I have ever gotten from Linda. Nail fill and no chip polish was done perfectly. I will definitely go back and recommend this to anyone. Pricing is the same as others in the area. Not expensive as I am on fixed income.
Well, I came back after a year… my pedicure was great. Very relaxing. However, when it came time for my Mani, it was a wreck. I showed the photo of what I wanted. She shaped my nails into stilettos, I asked her to round them out more… they ended up uneven. I had to ask her a few times to correct things..that didn’t get done. Then she started to paint, and I just couldn’t even say anything anymore because I was so baffled. I paid $122, plus an $8 tip. My manicure alone was $70! I got home and reeeallly checked my nails in detail and OH MY GOSH if I would’ve seen it all before hand there is no way I would’ve paid for this. I’m sick about it. The acrylic doesn’t cover my nails, it’s EXTREMELY thick and bumpy. Worst manicure I’ve ever had. Not to mention they’re all different sizes. I’m a very kind person, so I paid my bill and left. I will not be back, ever.
The man who did my nails was awesome! Very nice and made sure I liked the design/ shape and fixed any problems. It was $55 for the set.
Sometimes the wait can be long , but I'd say it's worth it. New ownership is knocking it out of the park and doing excellent! Linda is the best she really takes your nails and turns them into a work of art! They always want to make sure you like what you're paying for. I have been coming here since they took over to try it and I will be a loyal costumer from now on!
I was going a lot when it was still star nails. I wanted to get my nails done, so I went in about 2 weeks ago, and they looked good. They were a little longer than I wanted, but I accepted it. I went back to get a fill. They were still too long and this time uneven after I got a good look at them when I got home. I went back less than 72 hrs later (the soonest I could get in because I work everyday) I asked them to be cut down and fixed. When I was at the table, I decided to change the color too. No price was discussed with me about color change or anything. He rushed thru the entire service, and my nails LOOK AWFUL!!! they are incredibly uneven, all nails are different lengths and shapes. I have polish all over the sides of my fingers and I am extremely disappointed. Not only that, but he charged me $30!!!!! To change my polish!!!! That is outrageous!!!! I demanded a refund and I will no longer be returning. Quantity over quality at this salon..don't waste your money and time.
I went to Star Nails for a a manicure and pedicure with my daughter and a friend before my daughter’s wedding. We had appointments, the friend did not. We were escorted immediately to 3 pedicure chairs. My daughter and I got our pedicures while the friend was soaking her feet in the whirlpool. The service was fast and thorough, although the tech’s did not massage the bottom of our feet, just legs and top of feet. The gel pedicure was quick and well done and has lasted the whole wedding weekend with no issues.
My daughter got a acrylic nails with a single gel color, I got a classic French manicure on my natural nails with gel color. I am impressed with how well the manicure on my natural nails held up through decorating the reception hall, hauling decorations in and out, etc. Not one single chip and the top edge is not wearing at all 4 days later.
I would have given 5 stars except for a few issues, like the towel under the manicure station was obviously well used. Also there were up+charges for some things that were not in the menu handed to us. Even with that, I will definitely return to this nail salon again because the work was top-notch, the staff quick and knowledgeable, and the results beautiful.
Me and my daughter came to get our nails and a pedicure done and really enjoyed the new owners. They are very nice and they really care about their clients. They do great work as well.
