Quick Facts About Q Nails
Q Nails Place is a nail salon that has received mixed reviews from customers. While there are some positive comments about the salon, such as the friendly staff and affordable prices, there are also several negative reviews that highlight some weaknesses of the salon.
One of the strengths of Q Nails Place is the positive customer service mentioned by some reviewers. Mrs Ann and Leigh are specifically mentioned as providing great service and treating customers like family. This positive customer service creates a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, and can be a major strength for the salon.
Affordability is another strength of Q Nails Place, according to multiple reviews. The prices for services, such as acrylic manicures with gel polish, were mentioned as being reasonable and affordable. This affordability can attract customers who are looking for quality nail services at a lower cost, giving the salon a competitive advantage.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned by customers that can impact the overall experience at Q Nails Place. One common complaint is the lack of attention to customer preferences. One reviewer mentioned that the older gentleman and woman did not pay attention to their preference for each nail to have the same shape, surface without bubbles, or color streaks even with gel polish. This suggests a lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction, which can be a major weakness for a nail salon.
Another weakness revealed in the comments is the lack of skill and professionalism exhibited by some of the technicians. One customer mentioned that their nail technician had a hard time replicating the requested almond shape and ended up filing the nails so much that their finger started to bleed. This lack of skill and care can create a negative and painful experience for customers, leading to dissatisfaction and a negative reputation for the salon.
Customers also reported issues with the removal of their nails. One customer mentioned that they called to inquire about the removal service due to pain in their finger nail, but were met with rude service and a high price quote for the removal. This suggests a lack of customer understanding and compassion, which can significantly damage the reputation of a salon.
In addition, several customers mentioned that the quality of the gel polish application was subpar. They reported puddles of gel polish around the sidewalls and cuticles, which can lead to lifting and snagging. This indicates a lack of attention to detail and proper application techniques, which can result in a short lifespan of the manicure and a dissatisfied customer.
Another weakness of Q Nails Place that was mentioned by a customer was the issue of racial discrimination. The customer reported being made to wait longer than three white women who arrived after them, suggesting a potential bias in service and a lack of equality. This type of discrimination is highly detrimental to the reputation of the salon and can result in significant negative publicity.
Overall, Q Nails Place has a few strengths, such as friendly customer service and affordable prices. However, they have several weaknesses that need to be addressed. These weaknesses include a lack of attention to customer preferences, lack of skill and professionalism among some technicians, issues with removal services, subpar gel polish application, and allegations of racial discrimination. It is important for the salon to address these weaknesses in order to improve the overall customer experience and reputation of the business.

I've been getting my nails done consistently for the last 3-4 years. I recently moved here to SC.
I won't being using their services again. I don't recommend the older gentleman or woman, especially if you have your own preferences and prefer EACH NAIL to be the SAME shape, surface without bubbles, or color streaks even with GEL polish...
If you ask for a shape change, you're going to be talked about. Don't ask for a design, or show your phone with a photo, you will be asked "are you sure". These were JUST done and already look like I need a fill.
If you like to go to a nail salon where they do as they please, don't care about preference, and talk about you, this is the place for you.
Really disappointed about this place!
Was very excited to get my nails done.
Went to do a full set of acrylic nails and had the picture and everything ready for it.
Made me wait 1:30 to get me seated… (first downside)
After I sat done one lady started doing my nails and after had another coworker take over. (Not really sure why)
Coworker was having a hard time doing my nails and did not look like the picture I had shown her at all. Shape was different in every nail. (It was supposed to be almond shape).
Super easy design with two matte fingers and a single gold strip in each matte nail.
She filled my nail so much my finger started to bleed.
2 days in nails still fresh. I had a horrible pain in my finger nail. Something was wrong. So I called in and asked how much to get it removed. She was about to charge me $50 for the service (even though my nails where super short, and that’s the price I paid to get them done.)
Explain what was going on, lady on the phone was very rude.
End of story: I had to go buy the materials to remove it at home. After taking my nails out it was covered in blood ( the finger I said it was feeling a little painful.) plus 2 other nails.
I am a student, nothing could have damaged those nails the way it did.
I am assuming it was the products used.
Never again!
Mrs Ann & Leigh are two of my favorite! This salon treats you like more than a name, they treat you like family! Love them and their work! ❤️????
When I came in someone told me I was in the best place. The manicure was PERFECT. I also got my eyebrows done. PERFECT. I'll be back!
This is my ride or die salon. Recommend making an appointment as they can be very busy. Prices are very affordable. They are wonderful w/ returning customers!
Around $40 for acrylic manicure w/ gel polish (short/ medium length).
French tips acrylic manicure w/ gel plus gel pedicure was $90 w/ 15% tip.
Really disappointed in the service I received. Asked for a overlay and gel polish. The shape of my nails were crooked and I asked a few times to straighten them, the tech “pretended” to straighten them with a single slide of her nail file. I’m not one to push but I ultimately asked if I could do it myself. After that point the service went down hill. The gel polish was slapped on and rushed, leaving multiple puddles at the sidewall of my nails and cuticles. Which unfortunately will cause lifting and snagging. Really disappointed.
Spur of the moment (fall) pedicure. Just what the doctor ordered. Located in a smaller strip with lots of Little Caesars pizza traffic. Q Nails was tidy and they used a liner on the pedi bowl. There were 3 techs working and multiple services were being performed. I would definitely return for another visit
Came in 10 mins before a group of 3 women and they made me wait over 30 mins. But the reason for the lower score was because they took the 3 white women first and had me (as well as another black woman sitting waiting for service) NEVER AGAIN!! Then finally get in the seat and she says they don’t take credit cards after I changed my mind about getting a fill done. (Glad I didn’t spend my money here and would suggest none of y’all do)
