Quick Facts About Summerhaze Fish Bar

Summerhaze Fish Bar has received a combination of positive and negative feedback. It is important to analyze both the strengths and weaknesses of the place in order to form a comprehensive picture.
Starting with the strengths, several customers have expressed their satisfaction with the taste and freshness of the fish. The comment, "Great fish and chips...fish was so tasty and cooked fresh" highlights this aspect. In addition, the portion sizes have been praised, with one customer stating, "good portion size." This suggests that customers are receiving a generous amount of food for their money.
Another strength mentioned is the friendliness of the staff. One customer remarked, "nice staff." Having welcoming and helpful staff members can greatly enhance the overall dining experience, as it creates a positive and comfortable atmosphere for customers. This strength can contribute to customer loyalty and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
Reasonable pricing is also considered a strength of Summerhaze Fish Bar, with multiple comments mentioning this aspect. Price can directly impact a customer's perception of value for money, and if prices are seen as reasonable, it can attract more customers and encourage repeat visits.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one common criticism is the inconsistency in the quality of the food. While some customers found the fish to be tasty and well-cooked, others were disappointed in the greasiness and blandness of their orders. One customer even suggested that the fish was the "worst tasting...in years." Inconsistent food quality can be a major weakness as it leads to a lack of trust and dissatisfaction among customers.
Additionally, there were complaints about the chips. Some customers found them to be soggy or undercooked, which can greatly impact the overall enjoyment of a meal. Another customer mentioned that the chips were "disgusting" and left them uneaten. Inconsistent chip quality can negatively affect the perception of the entire meal, as chips are a crucial component of fish and chips.
Location is another weakness that has been mentioned, with one customer stating, "Shame it's not facing the other way with a view of the sea." Having a pleasant and appealing environment can greatly enhance the dining experience. Looking out at a car park instead of the sea can potentially detract from the overall atmosphere of Summerhaze Fish Bar.
Furthermore, comments about the pie being barely warm and the disappointment with the overall quality of the food highlight the issue of inconsistent cooking. Customers expect their food to be served at an appropriate temperature and of a certain standard. Inconsistent cooking can greatly impact the overall experience and discourage customers from returning.
Lastly, one negative comment about an allergic reaction to the fish suggests that there may be a lack of communication or clarity regarding allergen information or cross-contamination. This weakness can be a major concern for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions and may result in them avoiding the establishment altogether.
In conclusion, Summerhaze Fish Bar has some strengths such as great tasting fish, good portion sizes, and friendly staff. However, there are significant weaknesses including inconsistency in food quality, issues with chip preparation, uninspiring location, inconsistent cooking temperatures, and potential allergen concerns. It is important for the establishment to address these weaknesses in order to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Was average to be fair, not the worst I've had but far from the best. Bit pricey but expected right next to the sea side.
Disappointed regular cod and chips x2
Both was very greasy and very bland right thought to the paper bag and plastic bag supplied..under cooked to order needing airing off..normally the best in Brean in the past at the cost of nearly £20 expected better from any sea side takeaway the worst tasting fish and chips I had in years..glad this is not my local!.just wish I returned them both..
Reasonable price, good portion size, nice staff
The food was a delight my nan stood up for the first time in 25 years and started doing the macaraina while aggressively pooing herself as she remembered she's allergic to fish apart from that definitely would come again
Decent fish and chips. Shame its not facing the other way with a view of the sea. Looking out to a car park isn't so interesting !
Fish OK but pretty soggy. Fell apart. Curry sauce was lovely. Chips were disgusting so I left them (not cooked long enough) didn't go back.
Reasonable priced but seamed like it was cooked to order
