Quick Facts About T J Nails & Spa LLC
T J Nails & Spa LLC has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, there are positive comments regarding the quality of the nails and the professional setting. One customer mentions that their nails were exactly how they requested, with the right length and shape. Another customer appreciates that their cuticles were handled gently. Additionally, a customer praises the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, stating that the staff were accommodating and made them feel comfortable. The salon is also commended for being clean and reasonably priced.
Another strength mentioned in the comments is the talent and professionalism of specific nail technicians. Diane is specifically mentioned as being the best and providing a great experience during a mother-daughter nail day. This reflects positively on the skills and expertise of the staff at T J Nails & Spa LLC.
Moving on to the weaknesses, there are several negative comments regarding customer service and communication. One customer shares a negative experience where they were not allowed to leave the salon even after expressing their discomfort and bleeding finger. The customer also states that they were reprimanded and yelled at by the owner for a misunderstanding regarding the appointment time. This reflects poorly on the customer service provided by the salon.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the lack of attention to detail and potential language barriers. One customer mentions that their nails were not painted perfectly, with the ends not being painted at all. The nail technician also appeared impatient and short-tempered with the customer, which could be attributed to a communication breakdown due to language differences.
There is also a comment suggesting that the positive reviews for the salon may be posted by the salon itself, implying a lack of genuine feedback and potentially misleading information.
Lastly, there is a mention of the salon being dated and under construction, which could be seen as a weakness by customers who value a modern and updated aesthetic.
In conclusion, the strengths of T J Nails & Spa LLC include the quality of the nails, professional setting, talented nail technicians, cleanliness, friendliness, and reasonable prices. However, the weaknesses identified are related to customer service, communication barriers, lack of attention to detail, and potential doubts about the authenticity of positive reviews.
Best TL Reviews
I went to this place first the first time a week ago. I asked for a dip, but first they obviously had to take my current dip color off. Instead of letting my nails soak long enough, they had me sit them in acetone for a couple of minutes then continued to use the electric filer to just file it all off. By the time my nails were done they were so thin, I’ve never had nails like that! The guy started putting gel on my nails, I asked for dip, but whatever, I was already irritated. As my nails were being painted I was told to be careful because my nails were too thin.. like I said, they had NEVER been this thin before, they were just filed down that way instead of soaking my nails long enough to let the previous polish come off easily. Well, a week goes by, of course I break a nail. I go in and ask if they can fix it for me, and I was told, “we don’t have time, we have other customers waiting” (I look around and there’s a few people getting their nails done already, but didn’t see anyone waiting). She said I could come back at a certain time but I explained nicely that wouldn’t work, as I had my twins’ birthday party at that time. When I said that she walked away without saying anything else and I waited thinking someone would say something to me and they all ignored me so I left. I’m giving two stars because my nails were beautiful but I go a lot off of customer service.
I just moved to Greeley and went looking for a new nail place. I have been getting my nails done for 5 years religiously. The reviews seemed good, but this trip was horrible. I walked in and it wasn't busy, first the girl up front asked me what I wanted and it was to just take off my set and put powder on my real nails. She said that I didn't need to take my set off. I explained again it was what I wanted. Specially since my nails were dipped and I didn't want green underneath and pink on top. The guy up front took me to the back and sat me in pure acetone and full on left the building. I sat in acetone for 30-40 minutes before standing up asking to leave. Another lady came up to me and said she would do my nails, I said over and over I just wanted to leave. A second person came over, a guy and he told me to sit so he could take the nails off. I again said I just wanted to leave. At this point I had lost have my finger nail, it was bleeding and I just wanted to go. This guy decided to PUT SUPER GLUE ON MY BLEEDING FINGER! "to help protect it" is what he said. After being left by my nail tech, sitting in acetone for 40 minutes and not being allowed to leave, this girl says my trip will be $10. I left crying in my car. This has been my only bad nail experience ever!
I was a walk in, well I called right before but they saw me right away. I’m not a huge small talker and my tech was very sweet in letting me have my me time today. She was gentle with my cuticles, the length, and the shape are exactly what I asked for. I will be bringing my daughter in to get her tiny nails done on Saturday because of the great quality and professional relaxing setting. Price was right for me too- thank you!
Been twice now... clean, friendly, reasonably priced. My gel nails last well. What more can I say. I will be back!
Diane is the best! First Mommy daughter nail day and it was the best! My little has matching snowflakes on her thumbs, it's hard to tell. She loved it and so did I! Best nail salon hands down!
Okay to start, don’t judge a book by its cover. The place is a bit dated and I believe under construction and it may be off putting when you first walk in. Make no mistake, they really take care of you here! My nail tech Jimmy was very kind and professional. He took his time and checked in with me often. The downside is that it’s $20 to take off gel polish which is the highest I have seen this far. Otherwise, I will definitely be returning
When will Google allow a "black hole" rating in addition to stars?
Called to make an appointment to remove gels and manicure. The guy who seems to be the owner sounds like he's yelling into the phone from a distance. Made an appointment for the same day. First he said to come at one time, then left the phone and came back, and told me to come 15 minutes earlier. Shortly after I signed in, he REPRIMANDED me loudly, telling me that he had told me to come the NEXT day, at the original time he had given. Even if I had been wrong, reprimanding customers seems to be a bad choice.
I should have walked out.
The guy who came to do my nails was impatient with me when I didn't hold my fingers exactly the way he wanted. I also have a fine motor tremor. When I didn't do what he wanted fast enough (I'm not young!), he became quite short with me. His English is heavily accented and I had to ask him to repeat. He was snotty to me when I started to dry my hands on the wrong towel. When my nails were done (and he did NOT paint the ends of the nails) he garbled something and waved to the back of the store. I asked what he said, he did it again and YELLED at me "WHAT? I'M NOT SPEAKING ENGLISH??" Well, kind of, but not all that clearly. Another customer was kind enough to tell me that he wanted to to go to a table that had drying lights on a shelf. I'd never seen one of these before, and it just looked like a table. I commented that I didn't realize that that was where I was supposed to go because I was looking for one of the little gadgets you stick your hand in to set the gels. He started YELLING loudly at me in front of a shop full of people that he asked me if I wanted gel nails and I had told him NO. I didn't say anything about wanting the gels, but just commented on looking for the gadget used to set them because I thought it would be the same thing to dry the polish. He also made me pay him before he painted the nails. Now I know why.
Within 24 hours, the polish was chipping off the ends of the nails. Does this look like a decent manicure to anyone?
I think these people post their own positive reviews.
My GO TO for nails! Annie is the absolute best... and her staff is just as good! My daughter and I go here every couple of weeks and I'm always happy with the result. I would suggest making an appointment before going though. They're very popular and fill up fast!
