The cleanliness of the cafe has also been mentioned as a positive aspect. Customers have commented on the cleanliness of the premises, reinforcing the notion of a well-maintained establishment. Coupled with the homely decor, this creates a pleasant ambiance for diners.
One commenter specifically mentioned that Taste Of Northumbria offers gluten-free options. Providing options for various dietary preferences can enhance the reputation and appeal of the place.
Additionally, another positive aspect mentioned is the presentation of the food. One customer expressed surprise at the nicely presented and appetizing appearance of their tuna sandwich. This attention to detail in the food presentation can enhance the overall dining experience and leave a positive impression on customers.
However, there are also weaknesses that have been highlighted by some customers. One commenter had a negative experience with their baked potato, describing it as overcooked and discolored. This indicates that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of food or a lack of attention to detail in food preparation.
Another customer criticized the use of tinned tomatoes in the breakfast, stating that it was wrong for a chef to include them. Consistency and attention to detail in food preparation are important factors that contribute to customer satisfaction.
Moreover, a few customers specifically mentioned the poor quality of the breakfast offerings. Greasy food and a feeling of being overpriced are cited as reasons for dissatisfaction. The negative comments about the breakfast can be concerning, as it is a meal that many customers may order. Ensuring high-quality and reasonably priced breakfast options is crucial to provide a positive dining experience.
Some customers also expressed dissatisfaction with the service and behavior of certain young staff members. Blank stares and a lack of engagement from some younger staff members were described as off-putting. This indicates that there may be a need for better training or management of the younger employees to maintain a consistently positive customer service experience.
In conclusion, Taste Of Northumbria has several strengths including accommodating and helpful staff, delicious food, reasonable prices, cleanliness, appealing presentation, and gluten-free options. However, the weaknesses include inconsistent food quality, poor breakfast options, and occasional issues with the service and behavior of younger staff members. Addressing these weaknesses and maintaining the strengths can help improve the overall customer experience at Taste Of Northumbria.

Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und auch nicht teuer.
A busy cafe, in a bustling town, the kinda place that you think would have did off 30 years ago still exists in all its glory in Berwick.
Good food, and tea, would come back of I'm ever in these parts again.
Visited today with my son.... we both had baked potato , cheese and coleslaw. I can honestly say I never thought you could go wrong with a baked potato...until today..... the potato had been cooked and reheated several times, inside was all brown and discoloured. Coleslaw was awful, tasteless and made with salad cream.
The side salad consisted of a small ramekin with chopped cucumber and tomato. Despite both of leaving more than half each, no one asked if everything was OK. A huge disappointment, used to be a lovely cafe.
Lovely little cafe (more like a small bistro) and staff. Good choice of food and really reasonably priced, I had homemade lasagne and just too much for me as it came with chips, coleslaw and a great fresh salad too. Very clean too, nice homely decor. We had popped in earlier for a coffee and saw how appetising the food looked so went back after Xmas market. Also have gluten free options. Will go back for the crab next time. Merry Xmas to all there and thanks.
ps if you find a hearing aid it's mine-only had it two weeks lol
small cafe and nice staff but it wasn’t brilliant and as a chef tin tomatoes should not be on the breakfast it’s just wrong
Great wee place to eat & first visit. Was pleasantly surprised when I got my food. It was my usual tuna sandwich but really nicely presented & tasty. My Granddaughter's was also a nice surprise too.
Honestly worst full breakfast I’ve ever had, tinned tomato and the juice went all over the beans drowned the bacon and egg I only ate the sausage. The older staff where lovely the younger staff maybe 13-16 where very rude and when we asked a question just gave us a blank stare and honestly looked as though they couldn’t be bothered with anything.the younger staff definitely bring the cafe down a lot. Older man was lovey though
I've had better at a wetherspoons if I'm honest. Food was poor lots of grease on my plate. Food was over priced for what you get (6 piece breakfast) awful and the coffee wasn't much better.
