Quick Facts About East Ocean
East Ocean Place is a takeaway restaurant that has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In this analysis, we will examine these factors to determine the overall impression of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring theme in the comments is the quality of the food. Multiple customers express their satisfaction with the taste and flavor of the dishes, emphasizing that it has been consistently good over the years. This suggests that East Ocean Place has established a reputation for delivering delicious food, which is a significant strength in the restaurant industry. Additionally, the mention of the prawn crackers being tasty further highlights the positive quality of the food.
Another strength mentioned by one customer is the short wait time when placing an order over the phone. The convenience of being able to time a pickup to the minute and receive a ring-back when the line is freed up shows that the restaurant prioritizes efficiency and customer service.
Furthermore, a positive aspect of the restaurant is the friendly staff and service with a smile, as mentioned in one comment. This indicates that East Ocean Place values customer satisfaction and strives to create a welcoming atmosphere for their guests. Additionally, the mention of the best prawn sesame toast adds to the positive impression of the food quality.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one major concern raised by a customer is the front-of-house atmosphere and experience. The comment suggests that the staff members lacked people skills and showed no customer service experience, which could potentially create a negative dining experience for customers. Poor customer service can significantly impact a restaurant's reputation and customer loyalty.
Another weakness highlighted in a comment is the disappointment in the portion sizes and lack of free prawn crackers. The customer mentions that they expected larger portion sizes for the price paid, and they were let down by the absence of the complimentary prawn crackers. This raises concerns about the perceived value for money at East Ocean Place, potentially leading to dissatisfaction among customers.
Moreover, multiple negative comments mention issues with the food itself. Complaints ranged from soggy, chewy, and flavorless dishes to feeling sick after consuming a particular item. These comments reflect poorly on the consistency and overall quality of the food, which is a significant weakness for any restaurant.
Lastly, one customer mentions their disappointment in the wait time and the apparent lack of competence from the two teenage staff members. This suggests potential issues in the restaurant's operations and staff training, leading to delays and a subpar dining experience.
In conclusion, East Ocean Place has several strengths, such as consistently delicious food, efficient phone order service, and friendly staff. However, there are also notable weaknesses, including poor front-of-house atmosphere and experience, potential value for money concerns, and complaints about the quality and consistency of the food. These weaknesses indicate areas where East Ocean Place could improve to ensure a more positive experience for customers.
Best TL Reviews
Hi, Some recent poor reviews don't reflect my experience, and this has been over 20 years. So the prawn crackers aren't free but by golly they are really tasty. Even my son say so although he favours another take away for their choice. And those salt and pepper king prawns! Wait on the phone to place an order is usually short along with the convenience of ring-back when the line is freed up. Pop into the Dolphin across the road and you can have a swift drink and time your pickup to the minute. Rarely is there a delay. Enjoy. Peter G
Food was lovely as it always has been but the front of house atmosphere and experience was something else. Looks as if they have hired two stroppy children with no people skills to take orders and serve. Clearly no customer service experience.
Absolutely amazing food from here, friendly staff and service with a smile, will definitely be using again
We came here as other one has closed. Was staying hopeful but was sadly let down. Anything that should be crispy is soggy, most dishes were flavourless and you don't free prawn crackers, I thought that was standard in most places. Plus for the price the portion sizes were too small.
Over all disappointed.
One of my favourites, been going for years and always delivers on value for money and flavour!
Poor takeaway. Everything that should be crispy was chewy… crispy chilli beef made me feel sick… tasteless rubbish
Waited ages. The two teenagers didn't seem to know what they were doing. Food was bland with no flavour. Won't be using again
Good food, excellent friendly service. And without a doubt the best prawn sesame toast i've eaten. I'd give 5 stars if there was a delivery service.
