Quick Facts About The Brentwood Hotel/Heartbreak Hotel

The Brentwood Hotel/Heartbreak Hotel has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, one common positive aspect mentioned by multiple reviewers is the cleanliness of the bedding and towels. This indicates that the housekeeping standards for these items are satisfactory, providing guests with a comfortable and hygienic sleeping environment. Additionally, several reviewers mentioned that the rooms were clean and tidy, despite some outdated features. This suggests that the hotel is proactive in maintaining a certain level of cleanliness in the rooms.
Another strength mentioned by a reviewer is the friendly and welcoming staff. This is an important aspect as it contributes to the overall experience of guests. Friendly and accommodating staff can create a positive atmosphere, making guests feel valued and enhancing their stay. Additionally, the entertainment in the bar was praised by one reviewer, indicating that the hotel offers some kind of entertainment for guests to enjoy during their stay.
The hotel's location was also mentioned as a strength. While the specific location was not provided, it was described as a "good location." A convenient and accessible location can be a major advantage for a hotel, especially for tourists or travelers looking to explore the area.
Moving on to the weaknesses, one recurrent issue mentioned by several reviewers is the maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel. Broken tiles, mirrors, and bathroom lights not working were common complaints. These issues indicate a lack of proper maintenance and attention to detail within the hotel. Additionally, the presence of used teabags behind the drawers suggests subpar cleanliness practices in the cleaning process.
Another common complaint is the noise level in the hotel. Loud music playing until the early hours of the morning was mentioned by multiple reviewers, causing disturbance and preventing guests from getting a good night's sleep. As a place where guests expect to rest and relax, excessive noise levels can significantly impact the overall experience and satisfaction of guests.
Inconsistencies in the amenities provided were also mentioned. One reviewer highlighted the lack of towels, having only received one and being denied an additional towel when requested. This indicates a lack of attention to detail in ensuring that basic amenities are fully provided to guests. Another reviewer mentioned that there was no longer a complimentary breakfast, suggesting a change in the hotel's offerings without proper communication to guests.
Lastly, a reviewer mentioned slow WiFi connection as a weakness. In the modern age, reliable and fast internet connection has become a crucial requirement for many travelers. A slow and unreliable connection could hinder guests' ability to connect with loved ones, work remotely, or simply access online resources.
In conclusion, The Brentwood Hotel/Heartbreak Hotel has several strengths, including clean bedding, friendly staff, and a good location. However, there are notable weaknesses, such as maintenance and cleanliness issues, noise disturbances, inconsistencies in amenities, and a slow WiFi connection. It is important for the hotel management to address these weaknesses in order to improve the overall guest experience and ensure that guests have a positive and comfortable stay.

Best TL Reviews

Lots of broken tiles and mirror. tea milk in room not topped up. But Bedding clean. Dropped something behind drawers looked for it used teabags behind so obviously not cleaned. Locals in at 6 pm swearing
and they have family rooms
One thing I have learnt since booking this hotel is that I need to do more research (the bar and entertainment are open quite late).
The beds had clean fresh sheets and the bathroom was clean so the room was fit for purpose but sadly I wouldn't reccomend to anyone else.
One annoyance was that the bathroom light didn't work but only found that out at 10:30 pm so used my phone torch.
I was very shocked at the shower curtain????????. Shower curtain you get 2stars...Made me and my partner laugh all night. Everything was mix and not match in the room. Everything was very dirty and broken. Only had 1 towel. Asked for another at the bar and was told they had no more left. We Payed £50 for a Tuesday night. 2 star hotel. It was certainly an experience of a lifetime. lol
Usualy book the Brentwood to spend a weekend down porthcawl with friends we usualy have a good stay there but this weekend was awful . Music blaring until 3 am our room was right upbove it . Didn't get any rest at all ! Won't be returning
Staff friendly and welcoming and entertainment in bar was good . Rooms clean and tidy but a bit dated one bed was like a rock other was comfy, tv very small could just about see it and remote was just about working as it was all taped up. Couldn't have a decent shower as it was freezing even when it says run for 5 mins it didnt get warm. Was not able to close the window as it was slightly ajar due to handle being broken so it was freezing as even radiator wasn't getting much heat its a good location and good luck to the new owner and his team
Comfy bed with clean bedding and towels. Room basic but clean and had everything we needed. We put our luggage down and went out straight away so we’re only there to sleep. Bathroom nicely done and shower was fine.
Breakfast was also fine and staff seemed nice enough… nothing not to like really at this budget hotel. Would definitely stay again, thank you all.
I stayed Thursday evening and regarding cleanliness I'll let the photo's speak for themselves.
Loud music until 1:30 am meant I didn't get any sleep before that time and I had to get up at 6am.
Mike didn't turn the sound down when I complained despite saying he would.
Adrian isn't following up calls from my complaint with Hotels.com and hasn't issued a refund like he said he would when I spoke to him on the phone.
Friendly and welcoming staff. The WiFi connection is a bit slow. It is a shame that there is no longer a complimentary breakfast. But, it is a comfortable place to stay for a few days.
