Quick Facts About The Carrs Hotel

The Carrs Hotel receives a range of positive and negative comments, highlighting both its strengths and weaknesses. On one hand, the atmosphere is praised as being great, with the staff being described as friendly and helpful. This is seen as a strength as it contributes to a positive and welcoming environment for customers. Additionally, the hotel offers a variety of food options, including a revitalized menu and Sunday roasts that are made fresh to order. The professional kitchen and good value are also mentioned as strengths, indicating that the quality of the food and the pricing are both favorable aspects of the hotel. The willingness of the hotel to cater to different dietary preferences, including plant-based, vegan, and vegetarian options, is also seen as a strength.
Another strength is the location of the hotel, with a bus stop and train station nearby. This makes it easily accessible for customers, whether they are local or coming from further away. The availability of a function room and nearby restaurants for parties or gatherings is also mentioned, providing additional options for customers to enjoy their time at the hotel.
Some customers specifically mention having had a great night at The Carrs Hotel, indicating that it is a place where people can enjoy themselves and have a good time. This positive feedback contributes to the hotel's reputation and serves as a strength.
However, there are also some negative comments that highlight weaknesses of The Carrs Hotel. One comment describes a disgraceful and shocking incident where locals made derogatory remarks towards the customers, leading to verbal altercations. This incident reflects poorly on the local behavior and may contribute to a negative atmosphere within the pub. This is a significant weakness that the hotel should address to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all customers.
Another weakness mentioned is the issue with the choice of beer available. One customer expresses a desire for Peroni or Moretti, suggesting that the current beer options may not meet the premium standards expected by some customers. Additionally, a specific complaint is made about the size of the bottles of Magners, which are smaller than a pint, leading to a discrepancy in measurements. This indicates that the drink options may not fully satisfy all customers' preferences.
Lastly, despite the positive comments about the staff's helpfulness and professionalism, there is a negative comment that suggests a lack of generosity or kindness. This comment indicates a dissatisfaction with the general demeanor of the staff and raises concerns about the overall customer service provided by the hotel.
In conclusion, The Carrs Hotel has several strengths, including a great atmosphere, good beer, and a friendly and helpful staff. The location, availability of a function room, and variety of food options are also positive aspects. However, weaknesses such as occurrences of poor local behavior, inadequate drink options, and a perceived lack of generosity in staff behavior should be addressed to further improve the overall customer experience.

Great atmosphere good beer boss staff
Revitalised Menu, Sunday Roasts, all fresh made to order, professional kitchen, very good value and I highly recommend them..
Lovely location bus stop and train station near by function room available and restaurants available for parties or just a catch up with old and friends
Great night.Everyone had a good time
Lovely refurb with great new owners, staff are friendly and helpful. Great brekky too after Parkrun. Caters for Plant based, Vegan, Veggie and everyone else. ????
Disgraceful.
Utterly beyond words, Absolutley disgusted with the local behaviour. Pub has been nicely done up, staff were friendly, restuarant staff even more so and very helpful. However locals made jokes about "hope the staff spit in your food you xxxxxxx Busy's" (Busy is a local term for Police Officer). We laughed it off and went upstairs to the Resturant, but after realising it was TAPAS and not the pub meal we intended decided to leave, on the way out of the pub we had another verbal altercation with the same lads in the pub, as we walked out one fella said "its those two lads again", my friend asked them "are you not happy?", and one of them responded with "We are now you are leaving", i interjected with "Whats your problem?".
His response "I've never seen you before".
Needless to say my friend and I were shocked. I feel like we had walked into a Bar in Alabama and were welcomed with "We don't like your kind around here".We walked away in utter disbelief. To add context I was dressed clearly as a tradesman in messy clothes and work boots, my friend too a fellow tradesman also wasnt exactly dressed up either.
To say i am disgusted is an understatement, i have no doubt these men in this pub were low level gangsters from Huyton and i will be telling everyone i know this story and to avoid this place like the plague. I hope the land lord reads this and checks over the footage of his CCTV to find the culprits and enject them from his premises. For his reference it was roughly around 6 to 7pm on the 20th of June.
And finally as a bit of irony, though i had never been seen in the pub before and thus am a "stranger", i live 100 metres away from this establishement. and until the final altercation was planning on bringing my partner to the TAPAS resturant at a later date.
Little wonder the pub trade struggles with clientelle like that!
Love the place, staff great, nice, professional.
Football, jukebox, etc... only issue is bottles of Magners are only 500 cl instead of a pint bottle 568.
Peroni or Moretti would be a nice premium beer .
Would love to call the Carrs my local instead of Spoons Prescot.
Such generous people at this pub. Many thanks to the kind gentleman who helped me out getting a taxi to take my husband to hospital tonight. Your kind deeds are much appreciated. A real hero. Thank you ????
