Christmas party in the marquee was fab. Ticket price included all food and drink and they looked after is very well. Singer and music spot on. Can't wait for the Summer party!
Great atmosphere as always. Excellent space for a party/gathering and great location for me and my family. Staff are always friendly and helpful too
Do not book any parties/events here. We were double booked first of all and only notified when I called with a question about the party. After changing the date, the pub cancelled our party 3 days before it was due to take place due to a “staffing issue”. Asked for the landlord to call us back so we could discuss, left two messages and he never did, just simply ignored us. Terrible customer service!
Great local pub that's welcoming to newcomers. Real ales change regularly so I'm never sure what I'm going to get but I've never had a bad pint. Large marquee and a few smaller cabins on what used to be the car park provide plenty of covered outside seating. Food some evenings served from a hut outside.
Great pub and good food
We stopped in for a quick drink on a euro 2020 match day. We'd just finished a long walk and wanted something to refresh us before heading home. Managed to fit us in. Great staff. Promptly served, great little kitchen pop up there, although we didn't try it, we intend to go back and give it a go. It also helped provide a bit of entertainment with its hot wings challenge, and enjoyed watching someone attempt it... Needless to say, enjoyed enough to return. Especially seeing as it's within stumbling distance for ourselves
Went to the Christmas Festival on Saturday that runs til Christmas. Really well organised. Saw the Allykats play, which is always worth an evening out, had Bratwurst which was really good quality and perfectly cooked, although you do kinda need an apron when eating it, as its a bit messy, but so very delicious it's really worth all the finger licking! Lovely beers too. Really enjoyed the Jolly Holly. Great pub and beautiful outdoor marquee where I felt comfortable to sit, with spaced out tables and fresh air, despite the rampant Omicron virus. Highly recommended! Thank you, Cross Keys. X
Lovely welcome from friendly and hospitable landlord. Excellent range of real ales which are well kept. Clean and tidy premises. Great impromptu bar snacks.
