Quick Facts About The Ley Inn
The Ley Inn, based on the comments received, has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. Firstly, the food is consistently described as "fantastic" and "unbelievable." This indicates that the quality of the food is of a high standard and satisfies customers' expectations. The mention of a Sunday roast being great value for money suggests that the portion sizes are generous, further enhancing the dining experience.
Another key strength highlighted in the comments is the excellent service provided by the staff. Customers feel well looked after, as demonstrated by the staff who catered to the needs of a birthday celebration and ensured a memorable experience. Friendliness and accommodation are qualities that contribute to the positive atmosphere of the pub. Staff skills in handling various requests and providing good service contribute to customer satisfaction.
The cleanliness and comfort of the pub are also mentioned, indicating that the management takes pride in maintaining a tidy and inviting environment for customers. This contributes to a positive overall impression of the establishment and encourages customers to return.
The mention of a children's play area in one of the comments suggests that The Ley Inn considers the needs of families and provides facilities to accommodate them. This can be seen as a strength, as it attracts families with young children and makes the pub a suitable choice for family outings.
The presence of outdoor seating is another strength, particularly now during the pandemic when customers may prefer to dine outside. This adaptability in response to changing circumstances shows that The Ley Inn is willing to make adjustments to provide a safe and comfortable environment for its customers.
There are also a few weaknesses or areas that could be improved upon mentioned in the comments. One customer mentions that there used to be a children's play area outside but it seems to have been removed. While this decision may have been made to accommodate more outdoor seating during the pandemic, it could be seen as a drawback for families who are looking for a pub with play facilities for their children.
Another comment mentions that the service was not the best and there were a couple of long waits. This indicates that there may be some inconsistencies in the level of service provided, as not all customers have had the same positive experience. Long waits can be frustrating for customers and may negatively impact their overall impression of the pub.
One customer mentions that there was no heating on during their visit on a cold day. It is essential for a pub to provide a comfortable temperature for customers, especially during colder months. The lack of heating could cause discomfort and may be seen as a negative aspect, particularly for those who prioritize warmth and coziness.
Overall, The Ley Inn benefits from its fantastic food, friendly staff, and clean and inviting atmosphere. However, there are some areas that could be improved upon, such as consistency in service quality and ensuring appropriate heating during colder weather. By addressing these areas, The Ley Inn can strengthen its position as a top choice for dining and socializing.

Fantastic food, fantastic staff who looked after all our needs during my wife's 50th birthday meal with our family. We will be going again, food and service top notch. Thank you ????
Our new local, 5 min drive from our house, 20 min walk. Just been today for the first time, had lunch with our little boy - he didn't have much of an appetite as he was tired but I tasted his children's pasta and garlic bread and it was lovely. I had the Prawn Marie Rose sandwich with a side of chips - it was lovely, fresh soft bread and a lovely side salad with it too. Hubby had the Asian Chicken Wings with a side of chips, and he said his was lovely too.
The pub is very cosy, clean, staff are friendly and very accommodating. There is a little outdoor seating area too. I think they used to have a children's play area outside but that doesn't seem to be there any more - they probably took it down to make room for more outdoor seating during the pandemic.
Overall a nice little pub and we will look forward to coming back over the years to come.
Food is unbelievable, Sunday roast is definitely great value for money & very good service to!! Regular indefinitely. Pics from last time, didn't take any on todays visit
We went for a late Sunday roast lunch. Food was great. The sevice was not the best, and we had a couple of long waits.
Overall, great place
Nice friendly old stone built pub, and restaurant. In a lovely spot. Can recommend Sunday lunch. Delicious! Excellent child`s play area and outside tables. Brilliant car park adjacent Cuerden park. Friendly staff, and good well kept beers. Long may it survive!
Party of 6 friends all having different meals - everyone enjoyed their meal.
Great food, good service, friendly staff and the room was so clean and comfortable.
We all said we would return to try out different meals on the menu
Visited many times over the years. Had Friday lunch. Two meals taken, one small fish and chips and one lasagne. Both excellent being well presented, hot and well cooked. Good service with great staff. Visit was on Friday 18th, rather cold day but no heating on which was commented on by people at nearby table. The gas fire seems for effect only.
The famous Ley Inn - visited here to play a few games of pool with a pint. Not been in for a few years prior to this.
The pool tables were busy, but the gaming machine was calling, so a night of Thai Princess it was. There was, however, no luck that evening. Such is life.
The beer was Peroni, which is a always decent.
Food looked good.
