Quick Facts About The Links pub
The Links pub place has several strengths that make it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Firstly, the pub is known for its friendly atmosphere. Many customers have commented on the welcoming and friendly staff, as well as the warm vibe that permeates the establishment. This creates a pleasant and inviting environment for people to relax and enjoy themselves.
Additionally, the Sunday carvery at The Links is highly regarded. Many patrons have praised the quality and value for money of the carvery, with some claiming it to be the best in the area. The inclusion of complimentary homemade soup further adds to the appeal of the carvery. This consistent quality of food and reasonable prices establish The Links as a go-to place for Sunday lunch.
Another strength of The Links is the variety of entertainment options available. The pub offers a quiz night, karaoke night, live band night, pool and darts teams, as well as showing Sky Sports events. This diverse range of activities ensures that there is something for everyone, no matter what their interests are. This contributes to the lively and vibrant atmosphere that many customers have praised.
Another aspect of The Links that stands out is the cleanliness of the establishment. Many comments mention how amazed they were at how clean the pub was, with some specifically describing it as "spotless." This attention to cleanliness demonstrates the dedication of the staff to maintaining a high standard for their customers' comfort and satisfaction.
Furthermore, the recent refurbishment of The Links has been met with praise. Several comments mention the gorgeous refurbishment and how it has enhanced the overall atmosphere and aesthetic of the pub. The combination of a clean and well-maintained environment, along with the modern refurbishment, contribute to a polished and welcoming atmosphere.
Despite these strengths, there are a few potential weaknesses to consider. One possible weakness is the popularity of the Sunday carvery. While the fact that it sells out every week is a testament to its quality, it may also mean that it can be difficult to secure a table. Several comments advise arriving early to avoid disappointment. This suggests that the pub may experience overcrowding during peak times, which could detract from the overall experience.
Additionally, some comments mention that The Links can become quite loud and busy during certain events, such as karaoke nights or live band nights. While this may be appealing to some customers who enjoy a lively atmosphere, it may not be ideal for those seeking a quieter and more relaxed experience. The pub could consider offering designated quieter seating areas for customers who prefer a more peaceful environment.
In conclusion, The Links pub place has numerous strengths that make it a popular choice for customers. The friendly atmosphere, excellent Sunday carvery, diverse entertainment options, cleanliness, and recent refurbishment all contribute to its appeal. However, potential weaknesses such as overcrowding during peak times and a lack of quieter seating areas should be considered. Overall, The Links is highly recommended by customers and is a standout pub in the area.

Great atmosphere, welcoming bar staff.
Best carvery in St Anne's running on a Sunday from 12:30-3pm or until all sold (which it inevitably does every week as it's gaining in popularity).
Arrive early to avoid disappointment!
