Quick Facts About The Nottingham House
The Nottingham House pub receives several positive comments which highlight its strengths. One of the main strengths mentioned is its selection of beers. The pub is praised for having a variety of great beers available, with specific mentions of Titanic Plum Porter, Oakham Citra, and a couple of IPAs. This suggests that the pub has a good range of beers to cater to different tastes and preferences. Additionally, the quality of the beers is also praised, with the Plum Porter receiving particular praise. This indicates that the pub takes pride in serving high-quality beverages.
Another strength of The Nottingham House is the friendly and welcoming staff. Multiple comments mention the staff being friendly and providing good service. This positive interaction with the staff creates a pleasant atmosphere and encourages customers to return. The quick service mentioned in one comment also suggests that the staff are efficient and attentive to customer needs.
The location of the pub is also seen as a strength. The comment mentions that it is near the promenade, which suggests that it is conveniently located for visitors and locals alike. Being close to the promenade may attract people who are looking for refreshments after a walk or those who want to enjoy a drink with a view. The location can also contribute to foot traffic and potential new customers discovering the pub.
One comment specifically mentions the pub's accommodation of dogs. The fact that the staff at The Nottingham House were welcoming to customers' dogs and even provided a drink for them reflects a positive and inclusive atmosphere. This can attract dog owners who want to enjoy a drink or a meal with their furry friends.
The pub's cleanliness is another strength mentioned. One comment describes the pub as "lovely clean tidy." This suggests that the pub maintains high standards of cleanliness, which can contribute to a pleasant and inviting environment for its customers. A clean and tidy pub can make customers feel more comfortable and confident in the establishment.
While the majority of comments are positive, there are a few weaknesses mentioned as well. One comment expresses disappointment that children were not allowed in the pub, despite them being there previously. This suggests inconsistency in the pub's policy regarding children, which may lead to confusion and frustration for families who want to visit with their kids. This could potentially deter families from choosing The Nottingham House as their preferred pub.
Another comment mentions a preference for different premium lagers, specifically Stella or Kronenborg. While this is a matter of personal preference, it highlights the fact that the pub's beer selection may not satisfy everyone's tastes. Offering a wider variety of premium lagers could attract a larger customer base and cater to different preferences.
In conclusion, The Nottingham House pub has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. These include a great selection of beers, friendly and attentive staff, a convenient location near the promenade, accommodation of dogs, and a clean and tidy atmosphere. However, the pub should address the inconsistencies in their child policy and consider diversifying their premium lager selection to further improve their patrons' experience. Overall, The Nottingham House appears to be a well-regarded pub that offers a pleasant and enjoyable experience for its customers.
Best TL Reviews
Great little pub. Stumbled across it while working nearby. A proper little pub with a 2 or 3 great beers. Titanic Plum Porter which gets a thumbs up every time and this was excellent. They also have Oakham Citra on too and a couple of IPA's. Lady that served me was very friendly and i was served straight away. Will try to get in again before I head home.
Excellent local pub. Pleasant welcome. Good beers available. The local clientele were also welcoming. Great location near the promenade. Worth a visit.
Lovely pub inside friendly staff and a good choice of lagers and cask ales
Taylors landlord perfect
Tried to go in yesterday afternoon with the Grandkids and was told no kids allowed. Despite them being in previously. Also some of the reviews on here have kids in the background. Double Standards. Went to Smugs and had a great time, barstaff even had sweets for the kids.
Nice pub just as I remember it when I started using it almost 60 years ago. Would rather see Stella or Kronenborg as the premium lager but still worth a visit.
We took our dog for a walk, ended up being at the Notts, staff were brilliant, dog was welcome,he had his drink first. We were happy, great prices too.
I had a meal above the notts, first time ever, bearing in mind I'm a frequent user of the pub downstairs, absolutely wonderful meal, one of the best meals I've ever had, book now, you won't be disappointed....
