Stumble on this place travelling though the village staff very friendly but felt out of place as its a very local orientation pub inside is clearly a dog friendly pub as it had doggy odour and toilets could do with a bit of heavy duty bleach.
Nice pint , great staff ... a perfect local pub for anyone who lives close.
Felt very uncomfortable in this pub its definitely one where its for the locals I live in brixham and didn't feel welcome i think unless you know the landlord or landlady then you'd have a problem. Just could relax their and the toilets need a good bleaching too I'm just saying
Small local pub which we discovered riding around. Beer garden in back with six or so tables and a patio heater. Lovely friendly staff and landlord. Had a good chat . Felt really welcome unlike some other local boozers. Oh and an added bonus of Belle the beautiful German shepherd. ????
Jackie, you'll know who this is for sure... You're an amazing host, I loved my official first time athat your pub. We shared so many laughs and happy joys. I felt welcome, and can't wait for layla the dog to approach me without a bribe. Once again amazing host, A star all around ☺. Be in touch soon. Harry
Cracking pint ???????????? dog friendly and superb service ????????????
A regular customer 'Andy' kept shouting an offence word out loud, while an ethnic minority group was present. Poor attitude from a regular, but the staff dealt with the situation well, by escorting the individual off premise. On a plus side : Friendly bar staff and owner, and dogs welcome. Would have given 5 stars if this did not happen.
Stumbled across this pub by chance on a Sunday bank holiday weekend whilst out with the wife and 2 dogs and thought we'd pop in for a quick pint ....... 3 drinks later we left having had a great time, the staff and locals made us us feel so welcome. If it wasn't for us having to drive 170 miles home the day after we would have stayed all night. Next time we're down in Brixham we will definitely be returning.
