I came here probably last February and Barbara did my hair, she did a great job. I just got a small trim and some very subtle highlights and it was exactly what I asked for!
I made another appointment just last week (November) because I needed a haircut. I don’t remember the name of my stylist (she did not introduce herself when I came in), but she was great to talk to and friendly (which is the only reason I gave 2 stars, the haircut deserves 1 star) and mentioned she had been in the business for over 30 years. I had quite a bit of dead ends that I needed taken care of but wanted to keep as much length as possible. I asked for face framing and long layers, and this is what happened. The layers are not blended at all, and this area right in front of my face is completely chopped. After my stylist finished drying and styling I noticed a spot in the front that looked a little funky so I asked her to fix it, but she said she couldn’t cut much more off because of taking off more length. It didn’t look too terrible when I was at the salon, it wasn’t until I got home and styled it myself that I saw how butchered that side of my head was. This makes me extremely sad and disappointed because my wedding is in a few months.

I went to the UP hair company about a month ago. I decided to try here because I thought I would treat myself and finally spend the money to get a haircut and my roots touched up. I have a stylist back at home that is usually the only person I trust with my hair, however I was unable to travel home with my school and work schedule. I don’t even know the name of the stylist that I got scheduled with as she did not introduce herself. I will say she was nice and she said she has been doing hair for over 30 years. However, she completely butchered my hair. I wanted face framing layers and layers all over and she cut literal tiers into my hair. I have never had a bad haircut in my life but I was so upset when I got home and dried my hair to actually see how it turned out (I did not notice until I got home). Everybody that saw my hair was shocked that a professional stylist could mess up someone’s hair to that extent. The color was extremely blotchy too but that was the least of my worries. I sent the salon pictures of my hair over Facebook and a very nice and understanding explanation of how I was upset with my hair and was wondering if they do any refunds. They asked for my number and they did call me and left a message when I couldn’t answer because I was in class (the owner said I could make an appointment to get it fixed, but I am sure they would understand that if they were in the same situation that they would be uncomfortable with trusting someone with their hair after this). I called them back multiple days in a row and the owner was unable to talk to me every one of those days. Still then I was understanding as it was not her fault that our schedules overlapped. I then messaged them on Facebook again to ask if they could simply message or text me, since they were unable to talk directly, or even just leave me a voicemail answering my question about a refund. Someone replied and said they would tell the owner. This was atleast two weeks ago now and I haven’t heard from them since. I’ve worked at a salon for over 5 years and I cannot believe that this place would leave clients hanging after a bad experience. I am just appalled because I know that this has happened to atleast four classmates and multiple people under the reviews when they went to this salon. This is a situation that needs to be addressed and cannot keep happening to clients who put their trust in you with their hair. I am definitely not one to be confrontational or leave bad reviews, but I think that this has happened to way too many people by this point. I am just happy my hometown stylist was happy to fix it for me!
Hairstylist was friendly, haircut was exactly what I asked for and quick!! And for a great price too. Will be coming back in the future for sure! ????

I can't remember who I had, but she was wonderful. We talked the whole time and got along great. She did my hair exactly like I asked and was very concious of how I was doing (if anything hurt or if I was sensitive to anything).
Ladies did a great job when told to go wild on layers. Love a stylist that puts their signature on my hair
The staff is very friendly, great people, clean atmosphere, and they do a wonderful job. I've been going to UP Hair Company for about 4 years and every single time I leave feeling fantastic, clean, and good about myself. Headed never had a bad experience.

Newish to town and have gone to two other salons in town and was never stoked on my hair, or the price tag that came with it. The U.P Hair company totally just won me over for a customer, Chelly was my stylists and she was super personable and did an amazing cut and color. My normally thin/fine hair looks and feels voluminous and the price was more than reasonable. Very happy and highly recommend!
