Strengths:
1. Excellent service from Cody and May: Both Cody and May received praise for their exceptional service and skill in performing nail services. Customers were happy with the outcome of their nails and expressed their desire to return to the salon.
2. Efficient service: One customer mentioned that they received a fill-in in just 25 minutes, indicating that the salon is capable of providing quick and timely services.
3. Clean and nice salon: Despite some negative comments about the service, multiple customers noted that the salon appeared clean and well-maintained upon entering.
4. Variety of services offered: Customers mentioned getting a range of services from nail treatments to eyebrow waxing. This indicates that the salon offers a comprehensive menu of services to meet different customer needs.
Weaknesses:
1. Poor customer service: Several customers expressed their dissatisfaction with the customer service at Tina Golden Nails. Some complained about being cut or experiencing pain during their treatments, with no apology or concern from the workers. Others mentioned feeling pressured to choose certain services or products against their preference.
2. Inadequate sterilization practices: One customer pointed out that the salon does not sterilize their equipment properly. This poses a potential health risk to customers, especially if they have open wounds or cuts that could be exposed to infected blood from previous customers.
3. Inconsistent skill level: While Cody and May received praise for their work, other customers expressed disappointment in the quality of their nail treatments. Some mentioned uneven application of SNS powder and chips appearing less than five days after the service. This indicates that not all technicians at the salon possess the same level of skill or attention to detail.
4. Overpriced services: A few customers mentioned that they felt the salon's prices were too high compared to other salons in the area. This deterred them from returning or spending any more money at Tina Golden Nails.
5. Communication issues and lack of professionalism: Multiple comments mentioned instances where workers seemed unfriendly or did not understand or speak English well. This lack of professionalism and communication skills can create a negative experience for customers.
6. Rushed and shabby service: Some customers felt that their services were rushed and poorly done. This included rushing through both a manicure and pedicure in the same chair, uneven nail filing, and a massage chair running for only a minute. These experiences indicate a lack of attention to detail and an overall subpar level of service.
7. Cash-only policy confusion: One customer mentioned confusion regarding the salon's payment policy. They were initially told that card payment was accepted but were later asked to withdraw cash from an ATM machine. This inconsistency and the subsequent confrontation with the boss created a negative experience for the customer.
8. Lack of customer listening: Multiple comments highlighted the salon's apparent disregard for customer preferences and desires. Customers felt that their opinions were not valued, and the salon focused solely on making money rather than providing a satisfactory experience.
In conclusion, while Tina Golden Nails received positive feedback for some of their technicians and the overall appearance of the salon, they faced substantial criticism regarding poor customer service, inconsistent quality of treatments, inadequate sterilization practices, high prices, and communication issues. These weaknesses overshadowed the strengths of the salon, resulting in a negative perception among several customers.

Cody is the man! I was lucky to have been able to walk in and be seen. They did an amazing job on my hands (Uv gel wrap & polish) , feet ( pedi & uv polish) and eyebrows. See you again soon.
I went to get a birthday gel pedi and full set, May did my full set and she did such a great job, I love them!
The place is nasty. The lady who did my nails cut me twice and never apologize. And when she gave me a fake hand massage she banged into my pinky nail. I left with my nail throbbing from pain. Never ever again ‼DO NOT RECOMMEND‼
Got a skinny short coffin gel acrylic fill-in, done in 25 minutes flat!
(Around 1pm on a Sunday, no crowd)
Went to Flex; best service ever!
Upon entering, it seemed like a nice and clean salon. The pedicure was pretty rough and the worker ripped my skin too close to my cuticles. This is dangerous because I know for a fact they don’t sterilize their equipment, so if someone who has HIV/AIDS or other diseases comes here to get their nails done and bleeds, it can potentially infect others. On top of that, the worker kept pressuring me to get gel nail polish when I wanted a regular polish to match my nails. She claimed there were no regular polish colors to match them so I had to choose something ugly. (Find it hard to believe that in a whole salon there wasn’t one dark blue.)
I chose to do SNS powder on my natural nails. The worker didn’t shape my nails before putting on the powder and claimed she will do it later— which was a mess. The sns was clumpy and uneven, even after she used the drill to smooth it out. Less than 5 days after doing them, they’ve already began to chip and the top coat is peeling off. The SNS was way more $$ than usual spots($35), I’m disappointed in the service I paid for. Honestly Tina seems to be the only good worker and that causes the hype about this salon.
The lady that did my toes was ridiculous. She charged me $11 to design my toes and nothing about the experience was good. The lady that did my nails wasn't as bad. Their prices are ridiculous so I won't be spending another cent there. They can keep pretending they don't speak or understand English.
I will never have a pedicure done there again. Awful service.
The unfriendly stares from the door should have been my cue to not getting serviced here. I keep my nails very short and scrub my feet daily in my shower, so I only came in here, looking to be pampered. I requested a manicure and gel pedicure. The lady must have assumed I've never been in a salon because no gel was used. She rushed through both mani and pedi in the same chair. By the time she finished filing my nails, I had nail dust all over me. She filed without evening out my nail ends, so my finger nail ends looked jagged when she was done. She set the massage chair to run for approximately 1minute.
The service was very rushed and shabily done. As soon as I walked in, I asked if they accepted card payment and she told me "YES". After the service, she took me to the ATM machine to withdraw even though my intention was to pay with credit card. I reminded her that I asked before service and then she got her bulldog boss who started to yell, "cash only" and was urging me on to withdraw from the ATM with credit card and all the charges attached to it. How does a card transaction equal an ATM withdrawal? Good thing I had $55 cash and handed it to them.
A lady whose manicure they were doing before I arrived their salon was still being serviced by the time they were done with my manicure and pedicure. All of it took about 15mins.
I would not recommend Tina Golden nails and would never go back there again. I feel robbed because they charged me for a higher service (gel pedi), while they delivered a very inferior service with poor outcomes.
Other comments here are right about them not listening to customers. They do whatever they like with the intention of just getting your money.
