Quick Facts About Trap Kitchen Manchester
Trap Kitchen Manchester has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let's explore them in more detail.
One of the strengths of Trap Kitchen Manchester is the quality of the food. Many customers praised the flavors and taste of the dishes they ordered. The bang bang prawns, Mac and Cheese, and Oreo waffles were specifically highlighted as being delicious. The presentation of the food was also commended as being great. This indicates that the chefs at Trap Kitchen Manchester have good culinary skills and can create enjoyable meals.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the wide variety of menus. Every day has a different menu, offering customers a chance to try new dishes regularly. This keeps the dining experience exciting and fresh. Moreover, the availability of different menus increases the chances of finding something that suits personal preferences.
Location is also a strength of Trap Kitchen Manchester for some customers. One commenter mentioned living down the road, which is a convenience and a bonus for them. People living nearby might find it easier to visit the restaurant regularly.
On the other hand, one major weakness highlighted by multiple customers is the long wait time. Some customers mentioned waiting for 1-2 hours for their food, which can be frustrating and inconvenient. One commenter even mentioned that standing and waiting was uncomfortable, especially for those without cars. This long waiting time can deter customers from choosing Trap Kitchen Manchester, especially if they are in a hurry or have limited time.
Another weakness pointed out by a customer is the combination of sweet and savory dishes in the same box. This individual found the smell of chocolate off-putting while eating other savory items. Separating sweet and savory options or providing additional packaging that prevents mixing flavors could improve customer satisfaction in this regard.
Pricing is another weakness brought up by multiple reviewers. Some customers consider the prices to be too high for a takeaway meal, with one commenter explicitly mentioning that they could dine at better places for the same price. This perception of being overpriced can discourage potential customers from trying Trap Kitchen Manchester, especially if they have budget constraints.
Furthermore, one customer mentioned that the food they received was barely warm, impacting their enjoyment of the meal. Consistency in food temperature and quality is crucial for a good dining experience, and Trap Kitchen Manchester needs to ensure that all orders are delivered promptly and at the right temperature.
Overall, Trap Kitchen Manchester has strengths in terms of delicious food, a variety of menus, and good customer service. However, they need to address weaknesses such as long wait times, pricing, the combination of sweet and savory items, and temperature consistency. By improving these aspects, they can enhance the overall customer experience and attract more patrons to their establishment.

It's a bit of a luck of the draw place in that you could be there and gone in 20 mins, or you could be waiting with 10 others for 1-2hrs.
That said, Friday is my favourite menu day (every day is a different menu) and I've gone and treated myself here at least once a month for the last 6 months because I absolutely love the meal I get (the bang bang prawns are sooooo good) and consider it worth the wait. I only live down the road too which is a bonus.
It would probably be good for the business to invest in a shorter wait time.
Had a takeaway from here on Saturday, the Mac n cheese and chicken was brilliant , had a box meal and didn't realise the waffles are done with chocolate sauce , I thought they'd be savoury in the same box. All I could smell whilst eating the chicken and mac was chocolate quite off putting. Not sure it's a good idea having sweet and savoury in the same takeaway box.£15 also a bit pricey for a takeaway.
I ordered the ballers combo during my stay In Manchester. I’m not a seafood fan but after hearing positive reviews of Trap Kitchen I decided to try something new. Had the prawns and lobster tail and they were nice in flavour; still don’t think seafood is for me though. I wasn’t a fan of the bbq chicken, wasn’t anything special. The Mac and Cheese as well as Oreo waffles were very nice however! Presentation was also great. I’d definitely say it’s more on the pricey side.
This place is in high demand. The wait time can be a bit much but it’s definitely worth the wait because the quality of the food is amazing. Travelled all the way from London just to get the taste of real seafood.
The Lobster tail is the better option than the crab legs in my opinion. Crab legs was a bit too spicy and salty and a little bit of a hassle to eat. And I was way too hungry to go through that hassle.
I had the lobster tail, bang bang prawns, mac & cheese and waffles. DELICIOUS!!!
I just wish it wasn’t just a take away spot because the amount of time I spent waiting on my food was long since I had to stand. I didn’t have a car so that definitely wasn’t a comfortable wait.
All in all, I can’t really fault the place because the food has me wanting more n more.
Had to wait for 45 minutes to order, then an hour for the actual food. When it came the best things were the prawns. The pasta wasnt good. The lobster was so overcooked that my fork and knife broke while trying to cut into it. They gave bagels and they weren’t even toasted. The ‘southern fried’ wasn’t even southern fried. It was just fried chicken and was not crunchy at all, it was more tough after you had taken a bite it would take a while to get through with no flavour. Would not go again as it was £20 and with that you can eat at much better places. My mate threw up after.
Place was fairly busy but food came quite fast all tasted fresh and was decent for the price wouldn’t make the trip again tho unfortunately
Extremely overpriced (£20 for a one person box) - This price is usually by 5* restaurants eating inside where you pay for a service too.
This £20 was for a takeout box of 3 piece chicken, a few prawns, Mac and cheese and 3 waffle bites. Absolutely ridiculous pricing and I wouldn’t pay this again.
I got their special drink made in house which basically tasted like a blackcurrant Ribena - £3.50
The food came and was barely warm, taste was average. At most I’d pay £10 for this meal as it seriously is overrated for the price of £20.
Customer service is top notch. You're greeted with wide smiles by their staff. After placing your order, you retire to your car and chill. Your order will be delivered to your car once it's ready. Their lobster tail and prawns are quite tasty (pictured).
