Quick Facts About Turel Fish Bar

The strengths of Turel Fish Bar include the loyal customer base, consistent business, and hygienic and tasty food. The fact that customers have been going to this place for years indicates that they are doing something right and have built a strong reputation. The food is described as delicious and the large fish and chips are praised for being filled with plenty of fish. The prices are also mentioned as being reasonable, with one customer calling it an "absolute bargain in this current climate."
Additionally, the cleanliness of the place is noted as a strength. Customers mention that the place is clean and the staff is described as nice and polite. The food is said to be fresh and hot, which further adds to the positive dining experience. Good customer service and a clean environment contribute to a favorable impression of the establishment.
On the other hand, there are several weaknesses that should be addressed. One recurring complaint is the limited options on the menu. It is mentioned that there are not a lot of choices, which may deter some customers looking for variety. Another weakness is the tendency for the shop to run out of items quickly. This can be disappointing for customers who arrive expecting a certain dish only to find that it is unavailable.
The prices are also mentioned as a weakness by some customers. The comment "pricey" suggests that the cost may be higher compared to other fish and chip shops. Additionally, the lack of acceptance of cards and the requirement for cash only can be inconvenient for customers who prefer to pay with cards or do not carry cash.
There are also concerns about the atmosphere surrounding the restaurant. Customers mention that there are kids hanging around with bikes, as well as junkies and people loitering nearby. This can create an uncomfortable environment for some customers and may deter potential customers from visiting.
Furthermore, there is one negative comment about the quality of the food. One customer mentions that the fish was poor, with little to no fish and dry, hard batter. Another customer complains about the pie, stating that the pastry was old and questioning if it was past its expiry date. These comments highlight a potential inconsistency in the quality of the food.
In conclusion, the strengths of Turel Fish Bar include a loyal customer base, consistent business, hygienic and tasty food, and good customer service. The weaknesses of the establishment include limited menu options, frequent item shortages, potentially higher prices, cash-only payments, an uncomfortable atmosphere, and occasional issues with the quality of the food. Addressing these weaknesses and building on their strengths can help Turel Fish Bar improve and attract more customers.

We popped in yesterday when passing through and got large chips covered in curry sauce for only £3...absolute bargain in this current climate and they were delicious. Filled a little hole between 4 of us on a Rd trip and skint so 5 stars from us.
Place was clean, staff were nice and polite and everything else on offer looked perfectly cooked and made us very hungry.
We will return!!
Stumbled upon this. Lovely food. Large fish and chips and mini fish and chips..which was huge, food was lovely, fresh and hot. So much fish. Staff lovely. Will be going there again
I am the daughter of the owners of this chippy and I am inclined to place an honest review (just so everyone knows). My parents (more specifically my mother) does everything it takes to bring in the best quality ingredients and customer service to this shop. Stock is regulated on a daily basis (I would know as I have helped with stock many times). A review was made that they reckon that the food was out of date, however this is never ever the case. In fact, my mom makes sure everything is cooked on the day and even remakes food when the shop closes from 2:30-4:30 to ensure that nothing goes dry or soggy. My parents take pride in this shop and they’ll do anything to ensure that customers are happy. I am proud of how far they have come and how dedicated they are to this place.
Ps: someone had decided to keep changing the times for the shop, the shop is open from 11:30am-2:30pm and 4:30pm-10:00pm everyday except for Friday which is 11:30am-2:30pm and 4:00pm-10:00pm and on Sunday we’re closed because we’ve gone fishing ;).
The fish was very poor. As in little to no fish, dry and hidden inside terrible dry, hard batter. Really not that edible. I have given a 2 as it was at least hot and the chips were ok, and curry sauce ok. My wife had pie, again not edible, pastry old, sure it must have been past date. You pay enough for these items so please provide fresh, is it a lot to ask for.
Great friendly staff. service excellent and food always great
After having my card swallowed by the cash machine around the corner (faulty machine) I went in with the little change I had in my pocket (around £1.65) and asked for a small chips (£1.50). After explaining what had just happened they were so kind that they gave some extra food to make sure I was fed properly! All the staff were amazing and I can't thank them enough! Amazing food as well! Can't recommend them enough!
Excellent classic fish n chips at a good price
