Quick Facts About Uptown Nails
Uptown Nails place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. It is important to analyze these comments in order to get a comprehensive understanding of the salon's performance.
One major strength highlighted in the comments is the service provided by specific technicians. For instance, Jessica mentions that Anthony did a very nice job on her 80-year-old mother's mani and pedi, showing that there are some skilled technicians at the salon. Similarly, another commenter, Joey, received quick and painless service for their 3-year-old daughter's nails. This indicates that the salon has technicians who are good with children.
Another strength mentioned is the ability to accommodate late clients. Michael is commended for always taking care of a client, even when they are late. This shows that the salon is flexible and willing to work with their clients' schedules.
However, there are several weaknesses mentioned in the comments as well. One recurring issue is the inconsistency of service quality. One comment mentions that there is a 50/50 chance of getting good service, indicating that the salon has a problem with maintaining a consistent level of quality across all technicians. This is further emphasized by the comment about the poor job done on the acrylic nails, with two technicians failing to deliver the desired ombré red sparkle design. Another commenter also mentions that their nails looked like they needed a fill after getting one, indicating a lack of attention to detail.
Customer service is another area where the salon falls short. One commenter mentions being cut by the nail technician and receiving no apology or acknowledgement of their discomfort. This lack of empathy and communication is a clear weakness of the salon. Additionally, there are comments about favoritism and unprofessional behavior by the staff. One commenter mentions being rushed in by the manager and not being offered a drink, while others were given more attention and even control over the TV. This creates a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere for clients.
Lastly, the geographical location of the salon is also a weakness. One commenter mentions that it is a 45-minute drive to get to Uptown Nails, making it inconvenient for them to return, especially considering their negative experience. This indicates that the salon might struggle with attracting customers from a wider area due to its location.
In conclusion, Uptown Nails place has strengths in the form of skilled technicians for certain services and flexibility with late clients. However, the salon faces several weaknesses, including inconsistent service quality, poor attention to detail, lack of empathy from staff, unprofessional behavior, and an inconvenient location. These weaknesses significantly impact the overall customer experience and may lead to a loss of clientele.

My name is Jessica I work at Uptown Nails this is our service for 2023. We welcome you and your friend for any service you request.
I would give 2 stars if were only me, but I took my 80 yr old mom here for a birthday treat. Her tech Anthony did a very nice job on her mani and pedi, and was very polite. My pedi tech was the manager, and he did a good job, but my dip mani tech was not very good. He kept nicking my skin around my nail with dremmel. I pulled away my finger at one point because it hurt, and he blamed me for it. WTH? He didn’t do a square nail with softened edges which I asked for, and my nails are a bit thick and had lots of stuff that needed to be picked off after leaving. If I did go back, I would only go to Anthony. Considering it’s a 45 minute drive to get here, I will not be returning.
Today was a great experience. Joey got my 3 year old's nails done quick and painlessly. He was good with her as my tech was doing my pedicure. My toes look great.
I have been happy with the nail work that they do there. Michael always take care of me even when I am late. Thanks
You basically go and have a 50/50 shot at getting good service. I’ve went before but this last and final time was tragic, the acrylic and shape of the nail WAS fine until all I asked was for an ombré red sparkle type of nail for Christmas and had two different people try unsuccessfully, I understood that it was difficult with acrylic but I’ve had the same thing done with blue and silver with no issues, we switched to gold. After he has let the gel dry he goes back and completely scrapes the side of the nail with the file, both thumbs are completely different shapes, 4 out of 10 have gel overlapping the sides ruining any coffin shape there was supposed to be, and my pinky nail was the trial and error with red and still has red residue and smearing from remover on the bottom.
Worst nail salon. The nail technician cut in my skin and all she said was "you'll be alright". I wasn't alright, it was bleeding and it hurt. No apology. Nails were just ok but I wasn't happy. I will not go back there
I was rushed in by the manager, and not offered a drink, but the white girl next to me was offered a Coke, water and I had to pay more for a regular pedicure. The lady to my right was able to control the TV and cursed out loud when everyone else wanted to relax. I will never visit again. I will make sure to go to another nail salon next time.
When you get a fill that leaves you looking like you need a fill! Worst job in Lake County since 2014.
