Quick Facts About 66th Street Barber Shop
The 66th Street Barber Shop has received mostly positive comments from customers, highlighting its strengths. These strengths include the excellent skills and service provided by Deb, the relaxing and impeccable cuts and shaves, the friendly and conversational atmosphere, and the affordability of the prices. Additionally, customers appreciate the fact that it is an old-school barbershop, providing a traditional experience that some prefer.
One of the main strengths mentioned in the comments is the exceptional service provided by Deb. Multiple customers mention going to her for 10+ years, emphasizing her expertise, relaxing cuts and shaves, and her genuine care for the customers and their families. Deb is described as a great conversationalist, making customers feel comfortable and attended to.
Another strength of the 66th Street Barber Shop is the overall atmosphere and staff. Customers mention that it has a pleasant and friendly environment, with an easygoing and approachable staff. They appreciate being able to have conversations with the barbers and feeling at ease during their visits. The combination of skill and personability makes the experience enjoyable for customers.
Affordability is also listed as a strength of the barber shop. Many customers mention that the prices are reasonable and lower than other shops in the area. There are even discounts available for customers over the age of 65, making it an attractive option for seniors. This affordability factor may contribute to customer loyalty and repeat visits.
Additionally, the comment about the shop being an old-school barbershop is seen as a strength by some customers. One customer specifically mentions being retired Air Force and enjoying the experience of having an actual barber cut their hair. This suggests that the traditional barber shop atmosphere is appealing to individuals who prefer a more traditional approach to haircuts.
Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback, there are a few areas that can be considered weaknesses or areas for improvement. One customer mentions that parking can be tough, with only one spot available in front of the shop. This may be seen as inconvenient for some customers, especially if they have mobility issues. However, another customer suggests that parking on the side of the shop is the best option, which could alleviate this issue to some extent.
Lastly, there is one comment mentioning a negative experience with one of the barbers named Deb. The customer claims that Deb was crude and rude to them and their family, but they would still consider going to the barber shop and avoid having Deb cut their hair. This negative interaction could potentially have an impact on the overall customer experience and perception of the barber shop's service quality.
In conclusion, the 66th Street Barber Shop has a number of strengths that contribute to its appeal, such as the exceptional service provided by Deb, the friendly and conversational atmosphere, the affordability of the prices, and the traditional barber shop experience. These positive attributes have led to a loyal customer base who appreciate the skills of the barbers and the overall environment of the shop. However, there are also a few weaknesses to consider, such as parking limitations and the negative experience mentioned with one of the barbers. These areas for improvement could be addressed to further enhance the overall customer experience.

Tried this place for the first time on a Wednesday around lunchtime. Not busy, only one person ahead of me. Pleasant atmosphere. Parking is a little tough as the in front parking is only 1 spot ...I found parking on the side of the shop best.
Just a great traditional barber shop. I've been going there for 10 years. Deb, John and Joe makes everyone comfortable.
