Very experienced hair stylist. I have been here with wet hair , oily hair, dry hair etc but they manage to give me exactly what I want. Good suggestions are also provided. I am now in Novi but I still drive all the way here to get the hair cut done. All the stylists here do a great job
Not really satisfied with my cut. The lady did not blend the sides well and easily noticeable. One of my worst cut, not what you expect at a barber shop. The shop and vibe is really nice though.
Absolutely great! Now I wish I lived closer. Was out this way and my boys needed haircuts and we had some time. They accept walk ins and Mr Tony and Mr Sam were there and helped us quickly. Small parking lot in front but plenty more parking spots right behind the small building.
Excellent cuts, much better than the last several places we've tried. And what a bargain! Make sure to tip them well, they deserve it! I see they offer coffee and donuts, have a little table with markers and coloring books and a magic 8 ball for kids, a tv, water cooler, magazines, and lots of pics on the walls to look at.
My boys enjoyed the conversation and the haircuts. I think they'd definitely like to come back! They were also offered a sucker when they were finished.
Wonderful place and wonderful service. Highly recommend! I may just be planning to drive the hour for the next haircuts!
Friendly, they treat you like family, provide great hair cut and best of all local
I had just finished a round of golf at the Metamora Golf and Country Club and was headed home on M-59. Since I was planning to get a haircut that day, I remembered that a fellow Ford retiree had recommended LaRosa’s Barber Shop on the corner of Crooks and Auburn Road. I ha d worked with Tony, the owner at Ford but never knew that he was a barber.
I just walked in and said, “Where can I see Tony the Barber” He was as shocked to see me, as I was to see him! After he finished with a customer, I sat down for a “Businessman’s Cut just above the ears. For those who have never visited LaRosa’s Barber Shop, it’s not real big, but Tony has 4 chairs and that day he had two other barbers, plus himself cutting hair.
The interior is a sports theme, with pennants of all the local college and professional teams; magazine covers, and pictures of the great Detroit spots icons. Ask Tony where he hanged up the pennant for the OHIO STATE BUCKEYES (Tony is a big Michigan Wolverine fan)
But, more about “Tony the Barber”. He’s a barber from the “Old School” He spends a lot of time to getting your haircut perfect, just tell him what style you want. My haircut was excellent! And if you want, Tony will trim your eyebrows! It doesn’t get better!
Like the old days, you can have a great conversation, listen to old stories, and better yet, Tony has very reasonable prices for an excellent haircut. So, if you happen to be in the Crooks Road and Auburn Road area and looking a bit scraggly, experience the tonsorial magic of “Tony the Barber” at LaRosa’s Barber Shop in Rochester Hills, or his second location in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan.
Walk-ins are always welcomed
Haircut was not well done. Ear kept getting caught by the comb - felt uneasy but maybe it was just inexperience(?). Felt pressured to leave sooner than later.
Took my 10 yr old son to get a haircut by Cheryl and loved it! Very nice place.
Great price basic cut $18.00. Good at following directions and quick to be seated.
