Quick Facts About AL Nails
AL Nails place, based on the comments provided, has a mix of strengths and weaknesses. To analyze the strengths and weaknesses, it is important to consider factors such as customer satisfaction, quality of service, pricing, professionalism, and cleanliness. Let's start with the strengths:
1. Positive experiences: Some customers had positive experiences at AL Nails place and were pleased with their nails. One customer mentioned that they liked their nails and appreciated the great job done by the nail technician.
2. Accommodating staff: The nail technician named Louie was praised for helping a customer in figuring out what they wanted for their wedding manicure. This indicates that the staff is attentive and willing to work with customers to meet their specific needs.
3. Nice pedicure: A customer mentioned that they had a nice pedicure experience, indicating that the salon provides quality foot care services.
4. Good shaping and appearance: Some customers mentioned that the shaping and appearance of their nails were spot on, indicating that the salon has skilled nail technicians who can provide satisfactory results.
However, AL Nails place also has some weaknesses that need improvement:
1. Inconsistent quality: Several customers mentioned that they had inconsistent experiences with the salon. Some were satisfied, while others had issues with the service. This suggests that there may be a lack of consistency in the quality of work provided by different nail technicians.
2. Lack of attention to detail: Some customers reported that their requests were not fulfilled. For example, a customer mentioned that their nails were not made thinner and more square as requested. In addition, there were complaints about improper cuticle work and the use of the wrong color. These issues suggest a lack of attention to detail and a failure to accurately carry out customer specifications.
3. Expensive pricing: A few customers felt that the prices at AL Nails place were higher than expected. One customer mentioned paying $78 for a full set of nails, while another paid $58 for the shortest nails possible. The inconsistency in pricing and the perception of being overcharged can be off-putting for customers.
4. Unprofessional behavior: There were complaints about unprofessional behavior from the staff. One customer mentioned being ridiculed and laughed at by employees when they requested certain length and design options. Another customer experienced a lack of concern or empathy when they called to discuss the price discrepancy. Additionally, there were concerns about the lack of proper sanitization procedures, such as not disinfecting tools and reusing files.
5. Lack of customer care: Some customers experienced a lack of customer care. One customer mentioned that their issue with a nail was brushed off and they had to insist on it being fixed, while another customer reported that the technician ignored their bleeding finger. These incidents suggest a lack of customer-centric approach and professionalism.
In conclusion, AL Nails place has both strengths and weaknesses. While some customers have had positive experiences, enjoyed the shaping of their nails, and received good service, there are concerns about inconsistent quality, unprofessional behavior, pricing, and lack of attention to detail. Additionally, the reported lack of sanitation and overall customer care is problematic. The salon should address these issues to improve customer satisfaction and ensure a better overall experience.

I’ve been here 4 times and I’ve only ever liked my nails once. I keep giving them a try since so many people love this place. I asked for the same nail tech who did the nails I liked that one time but the second time she did my nails, my fill in looked like it was grown out/she did not push back the cuticles and didn’t add the new acrylic close to the cuticle line. The color I asked for was sheer pink and it ended up yellow. I don’t trust them anymore and don’t even want to bother going back and asking them to fix it.
My friend and I both for full acrylic sets and pedicures here before our vacation. We were both super pleased with the experience and our nails!
I would 100% not recommend this nail salon. I came here a little under a week ago with one of my friends, and we both got gel full sets from 2 different nail artists. We were laughed at and ridiculed by most of the employees there in front of our faces because of the length and designs we asked for. The nail’s themselves were also a lot pricier than i was expecting. They looked beautiful and the shaping was flawless, but both of our nails have already started breaking off, and they were just done not even a week ago. Also, I gladly passed on the massage they give at the end after watching one of the male nail artists give my friend her “massage” which was essentially just him slapping her back and shoulders as hard as he could. I was hoping the nails would be decent enough to mask the terrible experience i had, but it all together was not worth the time or money. GO ELSEWHERE!!
Got my nails done for my wedding here and it's the first time I've ever had fake nails. The nail tech Louie helped me figured out what I wanted and really did a great job on my manicure, the pedicure was nice too!!
I got a a full set. I was pretty clear that I don’t like coffin, only square tip. Unfortunately, even though I asked him to make it thinner and more square, he couldn’t do what I was asking. Regardless of how they looked, I ended up paying $78 before tip. I’ve never paid this much for acrylic in lynchburg and actually was referred to AL from friends for their fair pricing. My friend got the shortest nails possible and it was $58. I called the next day to verify the price, and he said it starts at 45. I told him I didn’t want to inconvenience them by fixing my nails and he didn’t seem very understanding/ like he cared. I Understand they have to deal with a lot of difficult people all the time, but I was extremely polite and apologetic. It was a learning lesson, but i’d rather take the chance for uneven nails somewhere else that won’t be $80.
Been here many times and have had good experiences. This time I went in and got a fill. There was an issue with one of the nails that I brought to his attention and instead of fixing it quickly, he shrugged it off and said “it’s not the color”. When I was sitting with my friend his coworker came over and asked me what was wrong after I had paid and was about to leave and she had to go get him from the back and tell him to fix it. He came out with an attitude and finally fixed it. When I was leaving instead of apologizing or saying have a nice day, his two coworkers asked me to tip him. Horrible experience.
In addition, he was filing very hard and my finger started bleeding quite a lot, which I know can happen. But instead of clotting it he just ignored it and was painting on it and using the tools touching the blood which is very concerning.
First time getting acrylics done, i got what i was expecting, not mad at them at all. my nail tech seemed really rushed though, not being super thorough, but maybe thats just her knowing exactly what needs to be done and everything, but sometimes it hurt when she was filling or what not because she wasnt being slow and careful. If youre looking for something really sanitary, maybe pass on this, no tools were disinfected after use and files were reused on other customers, and as someone who went to cosmetology school, i know that thats not standard procedure or clean. Over all, 4/5 because my nails arent jank so im happy!
Love it my nails were done amazing
