Quick Facts About Beach Bar Diner
The Beach Bar Diner has several strengths that contribute to its overall appeal. Firstly, the staff is described as very friendly, which creates a welcoming and positive atmosphere for customers. This is an important factor for a restaurant, as good service can greatly enhance the dining experience.
Another strength is the quality of the food. Many customers mention that the food is great and enjoyed by all. The 12" hotdogs and multi-cook chips are specifically praised, indicating that the establishment offers tasty and satisfying menu options. Additionally, breakfast is described as fantastic, with pancakes and waffles being highlights. This showcases the versatility of the menu and the ability of the kitchen to cater to different tastes and preferences.
Live music and family events are also mentioned as a strength. These additional offerings contribute to the overall experience of visiting the Beach Bar Diner and create a lively and engaging atmosphere. This is especially appealing to families and those looking for entertainment alongside their meal.
The casual and friendly atmosphere of the Beach Bar Diner is further highlighted by the description of the layout and seating. The plain tables in the bar area give off a relaxed vibe, while the soft seating in the side area with TV creates a cozy and comfortable setting. This allows customers to choose the environment that best suits their preferences.
However, despite these strengths, there are also weaknesses that should be addressed. One comment criticizes the use of frozen toppings on the handmade woodfired pizzas. This suggests that the quality of some ingredients may not meet expectations and could be improved to match the beautiful location of the establishment. Similarly, the description of the shredded ham and squishy meatballs on the pizza raises concerns about the quality and freshness of these ingredients.
Furthermore, there are complaints about the time it takes for the food to be served. While it is acknowledged that this may have been due to technical issues in one instance, it is still a valid concern that should be addressed to ensure timely service for all customers. Additionally, there is a specific mention of not being able to order desserts due to the long wait for mains. This indicates a potential issue with the efficiency of the kitchen and the timing of food preparation.
Another weakness highlighted is the lack of clarity regarding ordering at the bar and the confusion over the entrances. This suggests that the restaurant would benefit from improved signage and clearer instructions for customers to ensure a smooth and seamless experience.
Cleanliness is also mentioned as an area for improvement. One customer describes the cleanliness as not great, indicating that the restaurant should focus on maintaining a clean and hygienic environment to enhance the overall dining experience.
Lastly, there are complaints about poor service and lack of attention from staff. One group of customers mentions that they were not greeted or assisted by the staff, and instead chose to leave and go to another establishment with better service. This highlights the importance of attentive service in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
In conclusion, the Beach Bar Diner has several strengths, including friendly staff, great food, live music and family events, and a casual and friendly atmosphere. However, there are areas for improvement, such as the quality of certain ingredients, quicker service, improved signage and clarity, cleanliness, and attentive staff. By addressing these weaknesses, the Beach Bar Diner can enhance its overall offering and provide an even better experience for its customers.
Best TL Reviews
Seems to be quiet at times and very busy at other times. Staff very friendly and food great. Great 12" hotdogs, Multi-cook chips really nice. Sometimes there is live music and family events. Casual, friendly place with plain tables in bar area, and soft seating in side area with TV.
Handmade Woodfired Pizza - such a shame they use the nastiest frozen toppings.
The ham is the horrible shredded type you get on a kebab shop pizza. The meatballs are squishy things, and not convinced there's much meat in them!
Up your game guys, you have a beautiful location - your food should match.
Food took an age to come (was due to a technical issue to be fair) but when it finally arrived was lovely and enjoyed by all. When we had finished our mains went to order puddings but due to the time it had taken the mains to come was too late to order puddings by 3 minutes. Lovely atmosphere, lovely views of Bideford Bay, and lovely staff. Bit cold in restaurant at time of visiting. Will try again.
Came back for breakfast before we left Westward Ho! to go home to London. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. kids had the pancakes and waffles which looked amazing. Great coffee, great cooked breakfast baps. Lovely.
Came here with my partner and the food was not very good at all. I ordered the rib dish and it looked like it was weeks old pulled out the back of a freezer then smothered in BBQ sauce. Chips also looked microwaved and even the sweetcorn didn't taste fresh either. I was very disappointed. Also it's not very clear that you need to order at the bar nor is the two entrances very clear, signage would be beneficial. I don't like to put bad reviews as I know businesses can struggle with lots of competition around but I ordered two mains and one drink costing over £35 that I didn't even eat. Also I found the music way too loud but that may be just my preference. Cleanliness was also not great there either.
Terrible service.
We went as a party of eight and there were only round tables, all separate and no way to sit as a group. The staff were chattering away to each other and didn't come to greet us or help us.
We were in there five minutes then left and went to The Waterfront Inn (fantastic food and service!) instead.
I don't get these other reviews, unless maybe we arrived when they had their summer 'I can't be bothered' staff working and we were unlucky with the terrible service we experienced. Either way, we'll not be going back and certain won't be recommending them!
Went there as it looked good from the outside. Good choice of food and great selection of drinks. All our food was nice and plenty of it. The place itself was clean and the staff were all very friendly. The young man and lady that served me (wish i'd asked their name) were extremely good and had a great attitude. Both smiling and singing and just looked like they were generally happy. I'd definitely recommend going there and the views great too.
Came for lunch as a family and staff were talking amongst themselves in a group. The menu had many miss prints and had items that weren’t actually eligible to be served. The coke was flat and the service was poor. Came a year before and was excellent however after coming back we will not be returning.
WOW WOW WOW. I was impressed from the moment I walked through the door.
The venue has had a huge very tasteful makeover and looks stunning. I was there for their Thursday curry night, which is served upstairs. There is a new, very efficient lift, so no problem for disabled access. The service was outstanding. At no times were we referred to as 'you guys'.....my personal worst!. We were offered a jug of water and our drinks orders were taken at the table. Three delicious curries were served buffet style in beautiful chafing dishes with rice, pappadums, naans and Bombay potatoes. There was also yoghurt and mango chutney.
This delicious all you can eat Buffet is just £9. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.
