Highly not recommended. I came to return product and these ppl told me it’s not about the receipt; read the sign that is ghettoly taped to the counter. Never returning and you should’ve either.
I purchase here often. However, I did not have a good experience this time. They gave me attitude about honoring their unopened item exchange policy. I purchased 5 items, one of which was lipstick. I came back to exchange because the store next to them had the actual lipstick that I wanted. It was no more than 10 minutes. I made the exchange but have a problem with businesses not honoring their policy.
This store has, by far, the best selection of any beauty store I've visited. I have church when i go in there because of the gospel music that's playing! ????But...sometimes the customer service is terrible! There have been times I've gone and have been asked if I needed help. An employee assisted me in the past (I wish I had gotten her name then), thoroughly with price checking on a few items. Today, the cashier (this isn't my first experience of her rudeness...) was so busy listening to the woman's complaint at the hair counter, when I said thank you, after my transaction, she just yelled "NEXT!"
I went to the grand opening and this store started out great. Had a lot of potential. THEN the very unprofessional store "Manager" came along and I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! This store is new, has lots of great products and lots of hair options. The girls that work here are nice. But when you spend a LOT of money on hair, weaves, wigs, etc...like I do. I refuse to be treated like a criminal. This manager watched me, my daughter, and mom. I was planning on buying at least 5-6 wigs one friday night. However, because of his mistrust of black people and his treating us like criminals, I had to walk out!
I would advise this business to close if they do not want to cater to the black community. They want our money but not us! They want us to spend our money, but not expect customer service or respect. I will not be one to support this business. I now go to Beauty Exchange or Elegance Beauty!
I went in to purchase a wig on Sunday December 23, 2018. I were in the store for about a good 45 minutes looking and deciding on a style. An Associate came over to assist me and my husband. At anytime did she mention the wigs were buy one get the other half off. The cashier did not mention it at time of check out either. I were always taught as both Associate and Cashier that you let the Customers know the Deals and Discounts that are available. I had know idea although the signs were on the end caps and sometimes hidden behind the wig itself.
I was informed by my Stylist this morning that the wigs were Buy One Get Second Half Off! I told her I did not know that and the Store Employees did not mention that. I went back to Beauty Max this morning, December 24th to take advantage of the Second Wig Deal with my purchased packaging and Receipts..The Answer was 'NO' It was to have taken place during time of purchase. I explained the situation, They did not want to hear it!!
It is a shame how they take advantage of less informed people and keep information they should and are required to share with their customers to themselves to make sales.
Now I missed out on a nice second wig at Half Price!! Yes I agree I should have payed more attention to the signs, but the Employees should have Pointed Out or Suggested to me the Promos as well.

I just called to ask for prices and was hung up on. I've heard great things about the quality of their hair - this place was recommended by multiple friends of mine. But if that's how I'm treated on the phone for simply asking a question, I'll gladly go spend more money elsewhere. After reading the reviews, it looks like A LOT of other people have had bad experiences with terrible customer service.
As a licensed Cosmetologist that sends clients and assistants to this store on the regular... Disgusting. The store requires a receipt for exchange however their cashiers do not give receipts, instead they ask a customer if THEY WANT their change and receipt. A customer is due their change and receipt, there is no need to ask. If it wasn't right next door, they would not get a dime from me or my clients. The cashiers are young inexperienced and at times disrepectful. The bad customer service is do to poor training. As a Professional, your employees represent the company. The store needs to be staffed with respectful and customer service oriented individuals. IJS
This store use to be my top go-to store but the hair is over priced , they always have a low supply of makeup/lashes, they’re slow with restocking and the customer service just isn’t the same anymore! A very dry atmosphere! I was a loyal customer until today. I was told I had $10 to redeem by May 5th on my rewards card and they refused to give me my items that came out to $9.56. Honestly their competitors have them blown out of the water. Will not be coming back! Thanks for stealing from me beauty max!
