Spoke with owner before getting there made an appointment for tree braids with her. Get there she tells me she couldn't do tree braids. Showed the pic to the woman who was gonna do them both the owner and the so call stylist said they had the right hair for the style. As she was doing my hair I kept questioning the hair how it didn't match the style I showed. She kept saying it's the same hair wait to it's finished . Yawl they got me just wanted to make the money coulda told me she didn't have the hair. I was so upset cause the hair she used is too puffy doesn't look anything like picture . Lesson learned not going back. I was so made I called the police . I figured it was a civil case. Binta is fake , Too Greedy for a $1 .All tht niceness is fake " how's your mother" Bless you Have a Blessed Day. If you wasn't spending no money with her she wouldn't be So Smiley face. Be real
My daughter got these braids put on on June 7th before she left to go out of town. She called me about 2 days after they were put in to tell me that the braids were falling out. She was in another state so I could not bring her back to the shop. When she got back home 10 days later and been swimming once and washed once. I took her back to the shop and the owner was like she can’t go swimming with kinky twist she have to get individual braids for that but she can replace the braids that came out. Her head looks a mess! Her entire head needs to be redone or I should get my money back. I get kinky twists/braids from Yvonne’s all the time and my hair has never looked like this even after 8 or 10 weeks. And I wash my hair every 2 weeks. I never would have spent $160 on a 1 day hairstyle for a minor child. Owner stated she been doing braids for 20 years, she wants her business to be blessed, and if that’s the case she should have known to give me my money back if she didn’t want to redo the entire head! I’ve been going here for years, never had a problem. My hair was at my neck and now it has grown way almost to my mid shoulders. Anyone who’s doing a negative review, is either impatient, doesn’t know how to take care of their hair, or extremely cheap. They always do good quality work that will last as long you take care of it.
Last week, I went to this hair braiding shop to get spring twists. Not only did I bring my own hair, as directed, but I explained in detail to the braider, what my concerns were about this hairstyle. I explained to her that I had it done once before, and specifically asked her to ensure that all of my hair was braided. The braider consulted with the owner and other Braiders, speaking in a different language. After sitting for more than four hours, and paying $160 plus a tip, I realized once I left, that she did my hair exactly the opposite of what I asked for. My own hair was left loose inside of the twists, and because my hair is straight, you could see my hair sticking out throughout the entire hairdo. I had to leave town the next day, so getting the hairstyle redone was not an option. I called the owner within minutes of leaving, and explained to her what my concerns were. I even sent her video footage once I made it home, so that she could see for herself that my concerns were valid. She never bothered to respond to my video, and never offered to refund my money, or redo the hairstyle. She explained that they did it the way they did, because my own hair was too long. They should’ve explain that to me before they proceeded to do the hairstyle, therefore giving me an option to choose a different style, which I would’ve gladly done. While on vacation, my hair continued to unravel, and I even lost several twists. You can imagine how embarrassing that was. On a positive note, I have had box braids, and knotless braids done at this shop, and they did a great job. It’s unfortunate that they were more concerned about getting my money this time, then they were with ensuring that I was satisfied. Clearly, they are not experienced with Sprimg Twists, and should’ve told me so.
Recently visited this salon from out of town and the owner was a very nice woman. However the stylist that did my hair didn’t do what I requested and when I mentioned it to the owner by telling her the style was not what I wanted. She didn’tt show any concern AT ALL! And still took my money.
When I came in I explained to 3 different people the style I wanted and the stylist literally did what she wanted and what she thought I should do. My hair was done extremely tight to the point that my scalp has sores and she gave me very small box braids when I specifically, SPECIFICALLY asked for medium to large braids. My style should have only taken about 6 hours but instead she took almost 8
Binta is very unprofessional. They never open on time. She was tell you one thing then once she starts your hair she will switch up what she says . Been here twice the 1st time I thought they were just having a bad day. 2nd time was told to come at 9:30 when they open at 9 which was fine . But they got there after 10. Didn’t start till after 11 then once they started my hair they switch to a different person from who I made the appointment with and she braids so slow. I won’t give this business another dollar.
Every experience I have had has been excellent. The braiders are pleasant and respectful. The pricing is reasonable. The braids always look great and last a while. They don't take too long. I have never had breakage on my hair nor my daughter's hair from the braids we've gotten there. The environment is clean every time I have gone as well. I will continue to support this shop.
