Quick Facts About Colorcity Nails & Spa
Colorcity Nails & Spa has received a variety of comments, both positive and negative, from customers. These comments highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the salon. In this analysis, we will examine these comments to provide an overall picture of the strengths and weaknesses of Colorcity Nails & Spa.
Starting with the strengths, many customers praised the salon for its excellent service and talented nail technicians. One customer mentioned that they had the best nail experience they've ever had. They particularly enjoyed the fact that the salon was able to accommodate a larger group of people with different requests, such as those of bridesmaids for a wedding. The customers were impressed with the quality of the manicures and pedicures they received. The nail technicians were noted for their attention to detail and ability to replicate the customers' desired looks. Furthermore, some customers expressed their satisfaction with the nails lasting for a long time and not chipping or coming off. This suggests that the salon uses quality products and techniques that ensure longevity.
Additionally, customers appreciated the professionalism and friendly nature of the staff. The salon was described as having a nice and professional atmosphere. The nail technicians were praised for their attentiveness, taking their time to ensure the job was done well. Customers mentioned feeling comfortable and well-cared for during their visits. Overall, these positive comments highlight the strengths of Colorcity Nails & Spa in terms of customer service, skillful nail technicians, and a pleasant environment.
However, there are also several weaknesses that have been pointed out by customers in their comments. One recurring issue is the perceived rudeness and dismissiveness of the owner or a male staff member. Several customers mentioned feeling mistreated and disrespected by this individual. They described encounters where the man was hostile, rolled his eyes, and made customers feel unwelcome. One customer even referred to him as a "demon." This negative behavior from a representative of the salon undermines the overall positive experience that customers seek.
Another weakness of the salon is the issue of pricing. Several customers expressed dissatisfaction with the high prices charged for the services provided. One customer mentioned that they paid $84 for a single color on their nails, which they found to be excessively expensive compared to other salons in the area. Another customer highlighted the lack of transparency in pricing, mentioning that they were not informed about the mandatory 20% gratuity until after the service was completed. This lack of clarity and affordability could deter potential customers and create a negative perception of the salon.
Moreover, some customers raised concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the salon. One customer mentioned observing rusty and dirty tools, and raised doubts about the proper sterilization of the instruments. This comment suggests a lack of attention to sanitation and potentially compromising the health and safety of customers.
Lastly, some customers expressed disappointment with the quality of the services they received. One customer mentioned that the manicure and pedicure they received were good but not great. Another customer mentioned that the nail technician rushed through their service, resulting in unsatisfactory results. These comments indicate inconsistencies in the level of service provided by the salon.
In conclusion, Colorcity Nails & Spa has several strengths, including skillful nail technicians, excellent customer service, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, there are several weaknesses that should be addressed, such as the issue of rudeness from staff members, high prices, lack of transparency in pricing, potential hygiene concerns, and inconsistencies in the quality of services. By addressing these weaknesses, the salon can further enhance its strengths and improve the overall customer experience.

Best nail experience I’ve ever had! I was a bridesmaid for a wedding and they took care of all 8 of us simultaneously and finished all around the same time even with our different request. I showed a picture of my manicure inspo and my nail tech got it perfectly! I think her name was Sofia? And a man did a lovely job on my pedicure (I think his name was Eric?). Anyways, we are 4 weeks out and my nails are still all in tact and don’t feel like they’re coming off anytime soon (second picture). Highly recommend this salon and the nail techs!
Been here twice now and have enjoyed both times. Jo Jo did this set and totally exceeded my expectations. It’s their busiest time of year, especially with it being the day before New Years Eve so I was worried that it would be rushed but she took her time and was very attentive with making sure it was done well. You can see from the pictures that she did great work. She made my vision come to life! I will definitely make sure to ask for her in the future. Overall everyone there is very nice and professional. I recommend giving this salon a try if you’re in the area.
I highly discourage anybody from to this nail salon. The man in the front who I’m assuming is the demon everybody else is commenting about is very rude and aggressively dismissive. I got a UV refill on a Friday & by Saturday night my polish was chipping off . I called on Sunday and was told to come back after noon the following day … at 330 I arrived and was met with hostile eye rolls and was told they were busy, there was a lot of ppl there and coming so idk there’s no time now. I asked for a time to come back, he huffed and puffed again repeating how busy they were but told me it would be a 45 min wait, I clarified that it didn’t need to be today but I would like a APPOINTED time so this didn’t happen again to which I got “Noon … tomorrow” ????. Since a refund probably won’t happen after this fix I hope to hell to never see that man again
This is the first time I've left a review on a business, but this one needed one. I went in for a manicure pedicure, service was good, not great. Lady told me I should get a more expensive pedicure cause I needed it for my calluses, so I agreed, but she did not spend more than 2 minutes on each foot to fix it and it was $13 more than the one I was going to get. Then when I was getting the manicure, a man offered a massage (every nail salon I've ever been to, massages during manicures are complimentary) so I said sure. After I saw him give a paper to the lady doing my nails and I was confused. They were rushing me and my friend out of there, they cleaned the entire store and moved every chair out and my friend and I were still in there getting finished up, felt very much like they were just trying to get us out as soon as possible. Then, when getting my bill, I see that they charged me $13 for the massage that i was under the impression was complimentary. At that point I was just ready to leave. So I paid the very expensive pedicure and massage and the manicure and I give what I had in cash to the lady and gave no tip on my card since I was under the impression I was paying way less and had not budgeted for so much. While I am getting my nails dried, the owner came and bullied me for not giving "enough" of a tip. This immediately irritated me and I was astonished to his rudeness and audacity to come confront me about it. I told him I gave her all I had in cash and that the man did not tell me the massage was going to be an extra $13 (which is outrages for a quick massage) and he said to just add tip on the card, which I had already signed for. This immediately gave me the impression that the owner takes the tips for himself. I saw other customers reviews and others had the same experience of being confronted and bullied by this owner. He is even had the audacity to tell me "DON'T COME BACK" little did he know that I was not local and wasn't planning on it and now my friend that had been going there for the last few months, won't be coming back either. SUPER RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.
I honestly really loved their dip powder collection and I love the job they did! I would say one thing that was annoying is pushing my cuticles so many times to the point where it started getting painful. I guess beauty is pain. Only downside is that powder is 45$ which is normal amount and I gave 5$ which I thought was okay but they told me I need to give a minimum of 20% tip. So I had to pay $54 for what I’ve received in the picture below. I just wish I was told before hand there is a required 20% gratuity…
my nails are nice! i got gel extensions. they are quite thick tho. service was good too. one thing.. it was SO EXPENSIVE. i paid $84 including tip for a solid color… i could get my nails done in mount kisco WITH a design AND gemstones for $55, as said by my friend. it would be the perfect nail salon if the prices werent so ridiculously high, truly. i am grateful for what i got though. i will be applying my own charms when i can
I have been to this business several times and have had some bad experiences. I decided to give them one more chance (because the location is convenient) and AGAIN the owner was rude and disrespectful.
For example, I went in first thing in the morning on a weekday and asked if they were able to take me without an appointment. They said yes but then berated me throughout my time there for coming in without an appointment. I am not confrontational at all but eventually snapped back and said, "I GOT IT".
After not going in for almost a year I went back yesterday after making an appointment. I was getting a pedicure when another technician came over and started doing my nails. When it was time to pay they wanted two tips...one for each technician. I mentioned that I did not account for 2 people doing my nails and they would have to split the cash. The owner rudely replied saying that one of them would get nothing.
I will never go back to this place. I can't imagine how his employees are treated if he speaks to customers this way.
Dear girls and salon!
I highly don't recommend this place to make your nails. My mother and I got a number from one girl. We had to get nails done for the wedding, so we thought we'd try. I was surprised by the behavior of the man who works there and the lady who took care of my hands. The man who did my mother's nails was unreliable, without culture. Every time, my mother saw the imperfections that he was doing, he laughed. He did not meet her expectations, and he spoke Chinese to his workers about us. I find it unfair. When it comes to my stylist, she took a nail clipper, made me a square shape and applied the color without filing it. I asked her to file these nails and she said that she knew what she was doing. Which is nothing. My nails were razor sharp. Additionally, I said that I want my nails to be made on protein base because it will make my nails stronger and they will not break easily. She was looking at me as if she had never heard or seen it in her life. The salon is not professional. They do everything quickly. If you had looked at how this gentleman was doing these nails for my mom, you'd grab your head. From my perspective, he was hitting her hands with this brush. He did everything sloppily and fast. When a speck appeared on the nail, he took it off with his finger. The files they have in the salon have been used many times. Probably all clients were served by it. Tools that are supposed to be sterilized show rust and dirt. Each tool should be packed separately and placed in the machine. It was written on the desk that the desk is anti-dust and currently there is plenty on it! It is out of my mind. I immediately warn you that if someone wants to extend their nails, they will do it on tips and not on the gel. This whole company should take a literal course but in Europe country. They have no idea how to run this place. Surely the sanitary-epidemiological station did not come there for a long time.
It's worth mentioning that they still wanted a tip after this whole situation! Let them be glad I paid for it! My two-day manicure looks like I've already had one for a week! I'm disappointed! Hope this review helps other customers. (Sorry for any grammatical mistakes )
I greet warmly.
