I had a very pleasant dining experience at Crabby Ron's. Although there is seating available in the bar area, my girlfriend and I decided to eat in the dining room. Although we made reservations for 7 p.m. on a Friday night, there were a few tables open in what was a mid-sized dining room.
The creamy, oven-baked crab dip appetizer was very good, providing a cheddar cheese topping and a spicy heat that was not overbearing. My only recommendation is that it be served with pieces of bread as opposed to tortilla chips, as it made the overall dish a bit too salty.
The hot garlic parmesan wings were exceptional. The wet sauce, similar to the crab dip, was spicy enough to keep eating without requiring one to take a breather so their lips can cool down. I had some left over and took them home, and they were even tastier the next day!
The Chicken Francese was also a good meal. The chicken was tender and moist, and the sauce was thick and flavorful. The brussel sprouts with bacon pieces side dish was also delicious.
Although the name of the establishment suggests a seafood restaurant, there is a lot more, including prime rib, pasta, and more. Although a bit pricey, the food is worth the cost. One should patronize this place when looking for a nice night out.
Nice atmosphere with a large menu. Staff was very helpful and service was great. Food was very good and portion sizes are large. Recommend the Crab Cakes!
The menu was so good we had a hard time picking what to have. The appetizers and meals we choose were plentiful and delicious. The staff were very nice too. Prices reasonable. They have trivia on Tuesdays and bands outside on Thursdays. Definitely want to return. So glad to have found this place.
Local roadhouse. Fun look. Menu steak and seafood, some Cajun influenced dishes. Clams Casino were very small and not a standard Casino preparation. So over broiled the clams were like rubber, tops burnt. Seafood plate flavorless, 2 scallops again, like rubber. Shrimp were not Jumbo as menu stated. So, pricey and poorly prepared flavorless food.
That said, the place was packed with a happy crowd, so maybe try again.
Tried this place for the first time in years because of the new “pizza” offerings. Unfortunately not much has changed. The pizza could of used a few more minutes in the oven and a few less sitting out. It was cold and slightly underbaked dough. My wife tried the Crab Mac and Cheese. It was very bland as well. At least the waitress was nice.
My wife and I had dinner there. Had Boom Boom shrimp for an appetizer which was delicious. We both had cocktails. For dinner we had the seafood combo. Mine fried and hers broiled. Nice portions and was delicious. Our server was Haeley and she did a great job. She made sure everything was to our liking and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Ron even checked in on us. Great job everyone.
My wife and good friend took me here for my Birthday dinner. As we walked in we were not greeted but asked if we had reservations. They were obviously under staffed for a Friday during lent and as expected waited forever for our food. Bang bang shrimp not good unless you like shrimp tossed in mayo with some parsley. The fish was over fried and fries were not well done. There were specials advertised but we were charged full price. Probably will not return.
Nice place, friendly staff, clean inside and out. I ordered the crawfish etoufee and it was delicious. Not too spicy hot just great flavor. The mashed potatoes on the side were also delicious.
