Quick Facts About Diamond/Ebony Beauty Supply
Diamond/Ebony Beauty Supply has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One strength is the knowledgeable and kind staff. According to one commenter, the women who worked at the store were well-informed about the products and provided assistance in selecting the right items. This is important in a beauty supply store as customers often rely on the expertise and guidance of the staff. Another commenter also appreciated the helpfulness of the lady who assisted them and mentioned that she walked them through the store to help them make their purchase.
The cleanliness and organization of the store is also a strength. The store is described as being meticulously kept, which contributes to a pleasant shopping experience. Additionally, the commenter mentioned that the store was fairly empty, indicating that it is easy to navigate and find what you need. The wide variety of products available, including a separate section for wigs, is another strength.
Location and accessibility are also mentioned as strengths. The store is described as being accessible from the road and having multiple entry points into the driveway. It is also colocated with another beauty supply store and a dollar general, which could provide convenience to customers who are looking for a variety of beauty products in one location.
On the other hand, there are some weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One commenter mentioned that the store closed early, contrary to what was stated on the website. This inconsistency in operating hours can be frustrating for customers, especially if they have made plans to visit the store but find it closed. This can also result in lost business, as in the case of the commenter who mentioned spending $200 but had to take their business elsewhere due to the early closure.
Another weakness mentioned is the strictness of the owner regarding touching the wigs. While it is understandable that the owner and staff may want to maintain the quality and style of the wigs, this strict policy may come across as unwelcoming or discouraging for customers. It can create a tense atmosphere, where customers may feel on edge or uncomfortable while browsing the store.
There are also mixed comments about the customer service. While one commenter praised the owners for their generosity and kindness when their car broke down, another commenter mentioned feeling uncomfortable due to the staff constantly asking if they needed help. Additionally, there was a comment about the store being hot, which made the shopping experience uncomfortable. Inconsistent and subpar customer service experiences can impact customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Lastly, there was a mention of price discrepancies in the comments. One commenter felt that the prices were reasonable, while another mentioned that some items were significantly more expensive compared to other stores. This inconsistency in pricing can be a weakness, as it may discourage price-conscious customers from making purchases.
In conclusion, Diamond/Ebony Beauty Supply has strengths in terms of knowledgeable and kind staff, a wide variety of products, and a well-maintained store. However, there are weaknesses in terms of inconsistent operating hours, strict policies regarding touching the wigs, mixed customer service experiences, and inconsistencies in pricing.

Can't remember their names but the 2 women who worked here were very kind & well informed on products. My sister & I got everything went needed here.
This place is huge! They have a side for hair supplies and an adjoining suite for wigs. The store is meticulously kept and the lady who helped me was really nice. She walked me through store to help me select my purchase.
The owner is quite particular and HATES for patrons to touch the wigs. The women are there to make sure you keep your hands off of them. I suspect they spend a lot of time styling those wigs so I can understand the irritation.
The store was fairly empty and I appreciated the effort. I walked back and forth 8 times. Lol! She didn't complain..I'll be back because the prices were really reasonable.
The store is pretty accessible from the road and has multiple entry points into the driveway. It's colocated with another beauty supply store and a dollar general.
The store closed early. The website says one that mg and the workers closed the store, locked the doors before 7pm. I was spending about $200 I guess I’ll bring my business somewhere else. This happened on my wife’s birthday. September 27, 2022.
My family and I had our car break down after shopping here and the owners allowed us to stay in the store and were just very gracious! Amazing customer service!! Such an extensive supply of hair and all things beauty related! The only hair store in Alexandria that I will use! Thank you gentlemen for being so kind
Big beauty supply store with two sides. One side has hair products and the other has hair--weaves, braid hair, and tons of wigs. Pretty much anything you want hair wise. The store is a bit crowded but the selection is amazing. Worth a visit.
Usually you walk in there they all over you asking if you need help!! It was hot in there made shopping very uncomfortable!! Then for some hair you would pay $17+ tax for in there you pay $30!!! That is ridiculous!!!
Great customer service
