Quick Facts About DOMINICAN YERANIS SALON & SPA
Dominican Yeranis Salon & Spa has received mixed reviews from customers, indicating both strengths and weaknesses of the establishment. In order to provide a comprehensive analysis, the strengths and weaknesses will be discussed below.
One strength of the salon is its affordability. Some customers mentioned that the prices were reasonable, particularly for washes and blowouts. This affordability may have contributed to the positive experiences of those customers who felt they received good value for their money. Additionally, customers mentioned that the owner of the salon is nice and that their hair lasts a long time after being styled.
Another strength is the salon's ability to work with natural hair. Several customers complimented the salon for its expertise in working with natural hair and achieving good results. This suggests that the stylists at Dominican Yeranis Salon & Spa have the skills and knowledge to handle a variety of hair types, giving them an advantage in attracting customers with natural hair.
On the other hand, one weakness of the salon is the inconsistency in pricing. Several customers mentioned that the prices for services increased unexpectedly, leaving them feeling dissatisfied and deceived. This lack of transparency in pricing can erode trust and loyalty among customers, potentially leading them to seek services elsewhere.
Another weakness is the lack of clear communication between the stylists and customers. Some customers mentioned feeling uncomfortable due to the language barrier, as the stylists primarily speak Spanish. This may result in miscommunication and misunderstandings, particularly when it comes to discussing pricing or specific styling preferences. Poor communication can lead to customer dissatisfaction and negative experiences.
Additionally, some customers raised concerns about the quality of products used at the salon. They mentioned that the salon did not use high-quality hair products and that certain treatments, such as using relaxers without informing the customer, caused damage to their hair. This raises concerns about the professionalism and expertise of the stylists, as well as the possible lack of adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Another significant weakness mentioned by a customer is the lack of proper licensing for the stylists. The customer alleged that most of the staff members were not licensed and did not possess the required skills to wash or style hair without causing damage. This poses a risk to customers who entrust their hair to individuals without appropriate training and licensing. The customer also shared an incident of sustaining a burn during a service, indicating a potential lack of attention to safety standards.
In conclusion, Dominican Yeranis Salon & Spa has both strengths and weaknesses. Its affordability and ability to work with natural hair are strengths that attract some customers. However, inconsistencies in pricing, poor communication, use of low-quality products, and alleged lack of proper licensing are weaknesses that impact the overall experience and satisfaction of customers. Addressing these weaknesses could improve the reputation and success of the salon.

This place not too long ago was affordable that within a 2 month span they raised the prices from regular $55 wash/deroll to $70 wash/deroll and now the price has reached $85 wash and $25 deroll, a total of $110...Jesús! How we say it back home Ladrones. Stay away if your well earned money can be saved elsewhere.
They were nice, but I recommend you to ask and insist on how much she would charge you. I keep asking her, never gave me a direct answer. I ended up paying almost 500.00 dollars and not even in the receipt was explain why. My high lights were ok but the hair cut ????????♀️ was very uneven, terrible! No volveré jamás! My cabello esta peor y seco.
I don't speak Spanish so I felt uncomfortable for the time being in the shop but they did an excellent job with my natural hair . I went back twice to get my hair blown out. Beautiful ppl.
The best ever!! I love getting my hair done here the owner is nice my hair last a long time and never have a long wait!!
This is the worst Dominican salon I have ever been to. They do not use any quality hair products and want to charge $65 dollars for a wash/set/blow out. I spent $100 bc I got deep conditioner. The lady with the red hair did my hair and does not know how to blow dry your hair or style hair. She kept using a comb to blow dry my hair and when I said I didn’t like how she was blow drying my hair she tried to use a brush and kept spraying grease and put something in the front of my hair that made it stick. My hair looks greasy and dirty. It’s awful they call themselves Dominican stylists. The lady could tell I did not like how she did my hair and she not say anything at all.
I have been to yeranis for almost 3 years . They are the only ones that know how to work with My hair I love how they do my colors & blowouts.????
They put relaxer in their Conditioner without telling you. My original texture is curly when wet and I am a Natural girl no chemicals. I had my hair dyed here and I kept smelling perm but I thought it was from someone else getting there hair done until I saw my hair in the mirror looking thin and completely straight. Of course they don’t speak English so it’s hard to even talk to them. My hair has broken off tremendously due to me dying it and then them adding relaxer to the conditioner. This is bad for business and is not acceptable.
This shop should be investigated for licensing and closed for business. The owner is the only person that licensed but is hardly present in the salon. All the other “workers” are neither licensed or can wash hair, let alone style hair without causing damage with styling tools. I got a second degree burn on my last service, which the stylist never acknowledged. I had to use a mirror when I got home to validate she severely burned the nape of my neck. I am currently retaining an attorney.
