Quick Facts About Doris Nail Salon

Doris Nail Salon has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will analyze the comments and identify the recurring themes.
Starting with the positive comments, one customer compliments their nail technician, Kim, for providing amazing service and being meticulous with the polish. This suggests that there are skilled and attentive staff members at the salon who can deliver satisfactory results. Customer satisfaction is an important strength for any business, as it can lead to repeat customers and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
On the other hand, the negative comments highlight several weaknesses of Doris Nail Salon. One customer describes the salon as "horrible, unsanitary, and deplorable." They mention that the owner and staff were unprofessional towards customers, and that the pedicure chairs and bowls were not sanitized between customers. This raises concerns about hygiene and the potential risk of infections. Additionally, the customer states that the service lacked care and respect, and that there were roaches present in the salon. These issues indicate a lack of attention to cleanliness and customer satisfaction, which are significant weaknesses for a nail salon.
Another customer complains about the poor quality of their nails, which started coming off within two weeks of getting them done. They express their disappointment and frustration, vowing to report the business. This suggests that the quality of the service provided by Doris Nail Salon is subpar and does not meet customer expectations. Nail durability is an essential aspect for nail salon customers, as they expect their nails to last for a reasonable amount of time.
Similarly, another customer indicates that the work done at Doris Nail Salon does not last long, as their gel nails started peeling off by the third day. Furthermore, they describe an incident where the technician pressured them for a tip and rushed their service. This reflects a lack of professionalism and customer care. The customer also raises concerns about the technician repeatedly changing their choice of nail color, suggesting that there might be a lack of communication and attention to customer preferences at the salon.
In addition to service quality, a recurring theme in the comments is the change in ownership at Doris Nail Salon. One customer mentions that the previous owners, Sunny and Brian, provided excellent service, were attentive to regular customers, and had more skilled technicians. Since their departure, the customer feels that the service has declined, with poor quality and customer service. This indicates that the change in ownership has negatively affected the salon's performance and reputation.
Furthermore, one customer suggests going to a different nail salon, Teresa's Nails, as they believe it provides better service and excellent results. This implies that Doris Nail Salon is facing competition from nearby establishments that offer superior services, which is a weakness for the salon.
Another weakness identified in the comments is the long wait times at the salon. One customer states that they had to wait for 2 hours to get their nails done, and when they finally sat in the chair, they had to wait an additional 15 minutes. The customer ultimately walked out without receiving any services. Prolonged wait times can lead to customer dissatisfaction and discourage potential clients from visiting the salon.
In conclusion, the strengths of Doris Nail Salon include skilled and meticulous technicians, as well as positive customer experiences. However, the weaknesses primarily revolve around poor hygiene practices, subpar service quality, lack of professionalism, inadequate customer care, and long wait times. These weaknesses need to be addressed by the salon in order to improve their reputation and customer satisfaction.

I always get amazing service from my nail tech Kim. She is super neat with the polish. Im always happy with my nails.
I would like to give zero stars as this place was horrible, unsanitary and deplorable. The owner and staff were super UNPROFESSIONAL to the customers. The polish was out dated and the pedicure chairs or bowls weren't sanitized between customers. My pedicure was awful so I declined getting my nails done. There is no care put into any service. I felt terrible because I brought my sister and cousin along. We all wasted money there today and were treated in a disrespectful manner. The roaches and nice were unbearable. There were absolutely no COVID precautions taken. NO SANITIZING AT ALL. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! This awful place is called sexy nails now not Doris. I was there today.
VERY TERRIBLE I GOT MY NAILS DONE FOR MY BIRTHDAY AT THIS PLACE ON FEB 25 PAID $50 alone for just my nails and it is not March 7th and each and every one of my nails have literally popped off !!! I can’t believe I didn’t have my nails on for 2 weeks and they already started coming off ! I could have just got press on if they were going to just pop off I will be reporting this business because it’s a very poor business and have customers wasting Money
I give it 2 stars because I liked how my nails look. But I have bright natural nails. I've got my toes done here twice and I should of stayed away after I noticed the first time. Now my nails are not bright like how they were before I came here. And honestly I'm about to go to the doctors to see what's going on. The work also doesn't last long. Second time I got gel and it was peeling by the 3rd day. Also the woman pressed me for a tip and when I wouldn't give it to her she rushed my fingernails. And every color I chose she kept making me choose a different one saying it wouldn't show when I knew they would.
The shop used to be really good when it was owned by Sunny and Brian. They were really nice owners, they knew all their regulars when they walked in the door, and they had much more attentive nail technicians. I believe they sold the place maybe 2 or 3 years ago and the service has been poor ever since. I've only had them do my nails twice since, once when I first realized they sold the shop, and once after they messed up my nails then to see if it was a fluke. It wasn't. And their customer service is awful.
Go to Teresa's nails down the street, across from Old Navy. Much better service and they do an excellent job.
I want be going back to get my nails done there they didn't do a good job and the lady who did my nails had an attitude. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there if you want your nails done right. There not patient and the wait is long. Also they keep changing the prices. So if you choice to go there be careful because what they charge you for the nails is not worth it because they do a really bad job. I had to go to another nail salon because my nail polish wasn't dried and i set in there to let them dried for two hours. ( This places is a big NO NO)
I went here Monday evening to get my nails done. I got a white full set with gel polish and Rhine stones on each nail that they charged me a extra $10 for paid $90 in total for my feet and nails and half the stones all fell off Tuesday night! Now my polish looks stupid with a dent in it where the rhinestone would be and I bet If I go back the will charge me to fix it. Sloppy work!
I sat there for 2 hours waiting to get my nails done! And when I finally got in the chair I waited for another 15min! So I got up and walked out. Need I kind you I waited for 2 hours because they were in there fussing instead of working! And NOT ONCE DID ANYBODY APOLOGIZE FOR THE SCENE THAT THEY WERE MAKING NOT DID THEY APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE OF WAISTING MY TIME! And got mad cause I walked out without any services being rendered to me at all!! People were coming in after me and getting service before me because they were getting pedicures. But the nail techs who were doing them did nails too! When I asked he said how much longer I had to wait Sunny The male would never give me an answer!
