Quick Facts About Dunham Recreation Complex
Dunham Recreation Complex has several strengths that contribute to its popularity and appeal. One major strength is its local popularity. Being well-known and recognized in the community establishes a sense of trust and reliability. Additionally, its medium size and location make it easily accessible for visitors. This convenience factor is essential for attracting a wide range of individuals who may be interested in outdoor activities.
The business type of Dunham Recreation Complex is park and trails, which further adds to its strengths. Parks and trails offer a variety of outdoor activities and are often associated with relaxation, exercise, and connection with nature. The fact that Dunham Recreation Complex is open from dawn to dusk allows visitors to enjoy outdoor activities throughout the day, making it flexible and accommodating.
Another strength of Dunham Recreation Complex lies in its facilities and amenities. With restrooms, a children's playground, and shelters available, visitors can have a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. The availability of maintenance workers on staff ensures that the facilities are well-maintained and kept in good condition.
The parking situation at Dunham Recreation Complex is another strength. Spacious parking is highly sought after, especially in popular recreational areas. Ample parking space allows for a hassle-free experience and accommodates a larger number of visitors. Furthermore, the complex offers handicapped parking, showing consideration for individuals with disabilities.
The pet-friendliness and kid-friendliness of Dunham Recreation Complex also contribute to its strengths. Allowing pets and welcoming children creates a family-friendly atmosphere, drawing in visitors who want to spend quality time with their loved ones. This inclusivity enhances the overall experience and encourages repeat visits.
The affordability of Dunham Recreation Complex is another strength mentioned in the comments. Offering varied expenses allows different individuals to access and enjoy the facilities. This inclusivity ensures that individuals from various economic backgrounds can enjoy the park and its amenities.
However, there are some weaknesses mentioned in the comments as well. One of the weaknesses is the increase in prices for pool access and family membership. While this may be necessary to support the maintenance and operation of the pool, it may deter some visitors who find the new prices less affordable.
Another weakness highlighted is the cleanliness of the complex. Complaints about trash being left uncleaned in areas such as the play land, volleyball court, and parking lot suggest that the staff might need to improve their cleanliness efforts. This could impact the overall impression and experience of visitors.
Additionally, the comments mention some specific issues with the frisbee golf course, such as the grass being poorly maintained and the fairways being narrow. These issues may affect the enjoyment of visitors who specifically come for disc golf. Uneven grass and narrow fairways make the course more challenging and increase the risk of losing discs.
Despite these weaknesses, Dunham Recreation Complex still has several strengths that make it an attractive destination for outdoor activities. Its popularity, convenient size and location, park and trail offerings, availability of facilities, and pet- and kid-friendliness contribute to its appeal. However, improvements should be made in terms of pricing, cleanliness, and maintenance of specific amenities such as the frisbee golf course. By addressing these weaknesses, Dunham Recreation Complex can enhance its overall reputation and visitor satisfaction.

Today, I had the pleasure of exploring Dunham Recreation Trails, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The trail is 1.8 miles long, and it loops around the park, providing a peaceful walk that takes about 30 minutes to complete. The atmosphere was tranquil, and I couldn't hear anything except for the sounds of nature. Although I didn't see any strollers around, I did notice several people enjoying a round of disc golf. This park offers multiple courses, making it a great destination for avid players. But what really caught my attention were the stunning cherry and magnolia trees lining the path. They added a pop of color and beauty to the already gorgeous surroundings. If you're looking for a quiet and serene walk, Dunham Recreation Trails is the perfect spot. You won't have to worry about any distractions, as this trail is all about immersing yourself in nature.
Always enjoy coming here and bringing the kids. So affordable, you just cannot beat it for the services you're getting. The food is good too and isn't very expensive.
The staff is always extremely friendly. I have two young kids, they love the 0 entrance, and warmed right up to venturing out and going down the slide in the middle. They provide life jackets and the guy I spoke to helped me pick the right size for my kids.
FYI-- pool prices for 2019 went up. Used to be $5/ day, across the board. Now it's $6 for under 18, and 55+. All others are $10. I was pretty shocked to see such a jump when we went the other day.
The family membership is also up to $180; used to be $150.
That being said, we enjoy this pool. It's a great size and has slides for little kids as well as 2 larger ones for ages 8+ . We go just about every weekend during the summer.
Very nice place. You have to book beforehand if you're going to celebrate a function there. But at this place you will be allowed to play soccer or baseball at anytime you want. They don't open the public restroom unless you booked that complex.
didnt like the frisbee golf course. grass needs cut really bad! very easy to lose a disc even if you go off the fairway the slightest bit. which did i mention the fairways are pretty narrow. would be a cool course if all the grass was cut equally. very open with lots of elevation changes.
This place is a DUMP!
CRC doesn't do a good job cleaning up all the trash people leave. The pool might be nice but the play land, the volleyball and the parking lot is disgusting!
The Arts Center offers a good variety of shows if you're interested in community theatre. Each production I've been to was very well done; Sunset Players always puts together a great show!
