Best TL Reviews

I read all good and bad reviews but i gave them a try. I walked in. The woman won't talk, so I thought she was mute. I asked her, "do you know Bob cut." She knocked her head. Finally I kept talking. Then she talked. She is a new Vietnamese whom said they can't please everyone. As soon as she opened her mouth, customer walked out.
I told her she should greet everyone who walks in. And Ask how do you want your haircut. It is the same as the restaurant asks how you want your food to cook?
She cut my hair nicely. I tipped $5 which I shouldn't have after I didn't get a bobcat. My foster mother said the haircut does look nice.
Just like others have experienced -- the barber does not talk or ask what kind of haircut you want. My cut was fine.
I attempted to get a haircut here today. There was only one woman working. I asked how much for a haircut, she pulled out a calculator and typed 14. Ok 14 bucks, no problem. She put the robe around me and is ready to start using the clippers without asking what I want done. I stopped her and said she didn't ask what I want. She points to a picture of a haircut I didn't want. She did not speak once! I asked her to let me leave. I would stay away from this place guys.
Great place and great price, staff are very friendly highly recommended this place, i will come back to do my hair cut again once its long enough to cut it, this is going to be the place to go for the haircut, you will love it here, Pro staff, excellent service and and staff are fun to talk to
If Tina, the owner, was not such a miserable woman, this would change everything. I’ve been going for years and she’s not so friendly but decent enough and $13 and I always tipped $7. I’ll never give her another nickel.
The last time I was there I gave her an extra $20 because I know Covid hurt her business. Today I called and she said she was available and I told her 5 minutes. I arrived in 4 and she had one guy in the chair and another waiting.
When I asked her twice about the phone call, she neither smiled nor replied. I have heard from others it’s a good haircut but they can’t stand the woman who cuts their hair but I always cut her slack. Unless you don’t care about anything stay away…
While Tina did a pretty good job cutting my hair, she was very unprofessional. When I came in the door she didn't greet me, and sounded very annoyed when it was my turn to get a cut. She was on her phone half the time giggling about who knows what, and when I tried to compliment her by saying it looked good, she said "of course" arrogantly. Also, she was coughing so profusely that she had to stop and take a break in the corner of the shop. Her mask wasn't even a real mask and was worn below her nose. I don't care how good you are at cutting hair; if you are not practicing professionalism and don't treat your customers with respect, you shouldn't be working.
Awful, absolutely awful service. The women who attended me did not speak English, which made it impossible to communicate. AND, the entire time I was there, she was wearing her mask below her nose! Instead of describing what cut I wanted, I had to point to a picture on the wall that had a cut similar to what I wanted. And even so, the women gave me a cut nothing like what the picture showed! She made it extremely short! Also, she only knows how to use the clipper machine, and not scissors. At the end, when her “work” was done, she wasn’t able to tell me how much to pay, so instead she used her fingers to give me the price.
Awesome cuts, friendly staff, and affordable pricing!
This is a hidden gem amongst the plethora of other barbershops in the city. When you walk in, you’re immediately hit with the “home-y” feeling (like their name suggest). I’ve read other reviews and decided to try it out and I’m 100% glad I did. The other places I tried didn’t pay enough attention, their focus was on the revenue. But at Family Barber, the staff look after you! Their priority is the customer satisfaction. I’ve been trying few hair cuts over the years, Tina and Nikki saw the potential and adjusted the clipper size they see best fit my huge head.
Nikki took her time cutting my hair and trimming my beard. She paid attention and talked with me during the cut, which made me less anxious! Family Barber is a gem to me because they prioritize customer relations over money, hence why you get great cuts from there. During the one hour period, I saw patrons of all races and ages. Tina and Nikki personally greeted each person by their name, because they care about you to remember your name.
Like other places, I thought the total price for the haircut and beard trim would be over budget, but amazingly, it costed me less than $20.
Went in looking like a mid-life crises victim, came out feeling like a true college student; hip.
