Quick Facts About Fatty Professional African Hair Braiding and Weaving

Fatty Professional African Hair Braiding and Weaving place has both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, customers mentioned that the braids done at the shop look gorgeous. This indicates that the stylists at Fatty Professional Hair Braiding are skilled in creating visually appealing hairstyles. Additionally, several customers mentioned that the braids were done quickly, with one customer noting that her hair was completed in just five hours. This suggests that the shop is efficient and can accommodate customers who need their hair done in a timely manner.
Furthermore, some customers mentioned that the owner of the shop, despite being unavailable during their visits, has a friendly and fun personality. This indicates that there may be a positive and welcoming atmosphere at the shop, which can be an attractive factor for customers looking for a comfortable hair braiding experience.
However, there are several weaknesses mentioned in the comments as well. One recurring issue is the lack of professionalism displayed by the staff. One customer mentioned that when she called to discuss an issue with her braids falling out, she was met with a defensive response that blamed her for not knowing how to take care of her hair. Another customer mentioned that the staff members have poor people skills and are not attentive to customer needs. This lack of professionalism can lead to customer dissatisfaction and may deter potential customers from visiting the shop.
Another weakness mentioned is the inconsistency in operating hours and services offered. Customers reported that the shop closed earlier than the stated closing time, causing inconvenience to those who arrived expecting it to be open. Additionally, contradictory information was given regarding the availability of certain services, such as instant dreads. These inconsistencies can lead to confusion and frustration among customers and reflects a lack of organization within the shop.
Moreover, some customers mentioned issues with the quality of the braids. Complaints included crooked parts, tight braids causing discomfort and even damage to the scalp, and discrepancies in braid size. These issues suggest a lack of attention to detail and inconsistency in the skill level of the stylists.
Furthermore, multiple customers commented on the uncleanliness of the shop's bathroom and the absence of COVID precautions. This indicates a lack of emphasis on hygiene and health safety protocols, which is particularly important in the current pandemic climate. This lack of concern for customer well-being can be off-putting and may prevent customers from returning or recommending the shop to others.
In conclusion, while Fatty Professional African Hair Braiding and Weaving place has strengths such as creating visually appealing braids and providing fast service, the shop also has weaknesses including unprofessionalism, inconsistency in operating hours and services, quality issues with the braids, and a lack of cleanliness and COVID precautions. These areas of improvement need to be addressed in order to enhance the overall customer experience and reputation of the shop.

I came to this shop 2 weeks ago and asked her if she could braid my hair because it's short and growing out she assured me she could so I booked my appointment. I was happy at first because she was fast, she got my hair done in 5 hours. I noticed that the parts weren't super crisp but I let it go. Fast forward to today my hair has been done for two weeks the first row has fallen out and all the braids in the back are extremely loose. When I called her and told her what happened she told me it must be my fault because I must not know how to take care of my hair. She charged me 180 for this, I'm so disappointed, never again.
I drove by at 5:30. The door was locked and all lights were off. Online it says they close at 8. So I decided to call at 7:15 anyways. Someone answered and I told them I just drove by and it was closed. She said they close at 7. Like I said I got there at 5:30. So their business phone is their cellphone and they just close whenever they feel like it. Also when I called last week I asked if they do instant dreads and they said yes. When I called tonight she said no. So they are all over the place and have no people skills. What business answers the phone saying “hello”. Like I’m your friend. Thought I called the wrong number at first. I’m a customer. Try “hi this is Fatty Professional Hair Braiding how can I help you?” That’s why you shouldn’t have your cellphone as a business phone. You’d probably get more business if you didn’t close whenever you felt like it. Imagine how many customers you lost. Learn better people skills and business skills
I went to Fatty yesterday to have two feed in braids done. She was very fast and she charged 60.00. My part is crooked in the back and it looks like my homegirl did my hair. I even tipped her before seeing the back of my head. Will go to the shop across the street next time.
The braids look gorgeous, but they are extremely tight. Took about 3-4 days to loosen a little to make it bearable. The cost is a little higher than I expected. Kids are priced the same as adults. I asked for jumbo braids for my daughter, but size were definitely smaller than jumbo. I asked for medium, but not what I expected. Again, the braids are gorgeous and took about 4 hours (I have a pretty decent length of hair -mid back) and my daughter took about 3 hours.
Went to get my hair braided. I thought the owner was going to be there because she normally does my hair but someone else was there. When I asked to speak to owner she said she’s not around and can’t call her. ,the girl who did my hair did a rush job gave me big braid and they were extremely tight (I told her to loosen up) they were also big and heavy, because of this 2 of my braids ripped out causing bald spots and I have sores in my head. When I called her to talk about the issue she was real nasty in phone and acted like she wanted to fight. I asked for owner again the lady continued to argue with me. So unprofessional nasty bathroom, no COVID precautions and messed my hair up. I hope she has insurance I will be reporting her.
Scheduled an appointment with the owner to drive a hour and 45mins to get there only to be told she is on vacation! I called and texted her and received NO response back. Very unprofessional Africans who couldn't dare pull this on their own..would NOT recommend ????????
Love this shop!!! The lady Soo fun to talk to does a really good job + she do my daughters head ????️ blessing
