Quick Facts About Gel Factory
Gel Factory is a nail salon that, based on the comments provided, has received both positive and negative feedback. To provide a comprehensive analysis, we will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the salon based on the comments.
Starting with the weaknesses, one recurring issue mentioned in the comments is the lack of color availability. Customers have complained that the salon did not have the colors they initially chose and instead provided them with alternatives that were not what they wanted. This shows a lack of preparation and attention to detail on the part of the salon. Additionally, one customer mentioned that the technicians did not communicate the lack of color options before starting the service, which led to disappointment and frustration.
Another weakness mentioned is the poor customer service experienced by some customers. One review mentioned that a technician laughed instead of apologizing after causing the customer to bleed while cutting the cuticles. This demonstrates a lack of professionalism and empathy towards the customers. Additionally, another customer complained about the rude and inefficient booking process, as well as long wait times even with an appointment. These issues indicate a need for improvement in customer service and appointment management.
Pricing is also mentioned as a weakness, with one customer expressing dissatisfaction with the cost of a gel pedicure. They felt that the price was too high for a basic service, suggesting that the salon may have higher prices compared to competitors. This could make it less appealing for customers who are price-sensitive.
On the other hand, there are several strengths mentioned in the comments. One recurring positive aspect is the quality of the services provided. Customers have mentioned that their manicures or pedicures from Gel Factory have lasted for two weeks or even longer, indicating the durability and skill of the technicians. This highlights the expertise and attention to detail of the salon's staff, specifically praising technicians such as Gia, Lucy, Angela, and Eric. Consistently delivering high-quality services is essential for maintaining a loyal customer base.
Another strength mentioned is the salon's adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols. Customers appreciated the temperature checks, hand washing, and other precautions taken by Gel Factory to ensure a safe environment. This attention to health and safety measures reflects the salon's commitment to customer well-being.
The salon's ambiance and decor were also positively mentioned. Customers described the salon as spacious, well-decorated, and aesthetically pleasing. This contributes to an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere for customers, enhancing their overall experience.
Additionally, Gel Factory offers a rewards program, as mentioned by one customer who received free nails through this program. Loyalty programs can be effective in incentivizing customers to return and can contribute to building a loyal customer base.
In conclusion, Gel Factory has both strengths and weaknesses. The weaknesses include the lack of color availability, poor customer service in some instances, and potential price concerns. However, the salon's strengths lie in the quality and longevity of their services, adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols, pleasant ambiance, and the implementation of a rewards program. By addressing the weaknesses and capitalizing on their strengths, Gel Factory has the potential to further improve customer satisfaction and develop a strong reputation in the industry.

Horrible service! I went in with my sister for the first time. We both picked a color and they said ok. They started soaking our nails and in the middle of the process they said we don’t have the colors you picked. So we picked other colors they said we don’t have those either. Long story short they did not have any colors we picked so they just brought 2 colors closest to what we wanted. Let me mention that we didn’t want any crazy colors we wanted beige and off white. They filed my sister’s nails very short without asking. She ripped off my skin so hard while cutting my cuticle that I started bleeding and instead of apologizing she started laughing. I made it very clear that I am not happy with the service and the colors they gave us, I said they should’ve told us that before they started. Do not recommend at all!!! Horrible, horrible, horrible.
I went to a salon in Commack for over 20 years until I had enough of poor quality. My daughter suggested Gel Factory and I am so very happy with it. Great service, fair prices and great rewards for loyalty. Gia is amazing, meticulous, patient, never rushes. My gel mani's last at least 2 weeks. The spa pedi's are a great treat, again, Gia takes her time. Others of note are Angela and Eric. The owners run a great business. Very safe with COVID also. I highly recommend.
The pic is the hombre nails I received for free from their rewards program (sparkles were extra). I never get fancy nails, but theses were done so well, looks like they will be a special treat going forward.
I came here as a first time customer on Tuesday and got a gel powder manicure . After two days, 3 nails cracked and chipped, so on Thursday I went back and asked for them to either fix it or change it to regular UV gel bc obviously their gel powder wasn't applied strongly or just isn't strong enough. So they did a great job at applying the uv gel nails. At the end I went to the register and the woman said $85! I said, well this is a correction, you're still charging me full price? And all I got was a shrug. Very horrible
way to handle business. Needless to say, will not be going back
Horrible! There’s only one technician, Lucy who is fantastic. She is constantly booked. I have made an appointment each time and waited 1-2 hours for my appointment. The last time they doubled booked me and the other technician was horrible. The receptionist is always rude and terrible with booking appointments. Also the color selection for gel powder is very limited.
Good service but not worth the price. They charged me $75 for a gel pedicure. $45 for pedi and $30 for color gel. Plus a $14 tip. Totaled to $89 for a basic non deluxe pedicure.
Honestly, this is the best place in the town! Definitely will bring a lot of friends here!
I have officially abandoned my previous nail salon for gel factory. I love that they are super cautious during these times of Covid. They take your temperature & make sure you wash your hands before they provide the service you are coming for. Mine and my daughters manicures come out beautifully and last two weeks slightly longer if you don’t mind the growth in your nails. Highly recommend them for your next manicure or pedicure.
I’ve been coming to gel factory for about 5 years now. Every time I’m here I’m always warmly greeted. The decor is gorgeous and the salon is very spacious with lots of rooms for their special spa services. The quality of service I receive here is always top notch and my manicures last for weeks!
They have a new sterilizer system at each station as well as throughout the space. They’ve also replaced all the door handles with copper technology to help prevent germs.
Im so happy I found gel factory and will continue to send my friends here!
