Quick Facts About Grace Barber Shop
Grace Barber Shop has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One clear strength of Grace Barber Shop is the owner's extensive experience and background. Having been cutting hair for 20 years, she has likely developed a good level of skill and expertise. Additionally, being a military spouse and part of the Ft. Meade community, she may have a solid understanding of the specific grooming needs of servicemen and civilians in the area.
Another positive aspect mentioned is the affordable price for a men's haircut. At $17, it appears to be a reasonable rate for the service provided. This can be appealing to customers who are looking for quality haircuts without breaking the bank.
The presence of a kind and skilled professional cutter is also highlighted in one comment. This suggests that there are barbers or stylists at Grace Barber Shop who provide excellent haircuts and are recommended by customers. Having competent staff who can deliver satisfactory results is an important strength for any barber shop.
On the other hand, there are some weaknesses indicated by the comments. One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the attention to detail from their barber. They mentioned that the barber forgot to trim above their ears and left hairs sticking out on the sides. This suggests a lack of thoroughness and attention to detail in the barber's work.
Another customer had a negative experience with a beard trim done by an Asian lady. They felt that the service was terrible, as the barber kept placing her hands over the customer's mouth, and failed to remove hair fuzz as requested. The customer also felt racially targeted by the barber's comment implying they should go to a black barber, which they found unprofessional. This highlights issues with the customer service and lack of sanitation practices in the shop.
Additionally, there was a comment about a negative encounter with a particular staff member, Jerry. The customer felt that Jerry was in a bad mood, was rude, and even asked if the customer wanted a different barber to cut their grandson's hair. This suggests issues with customer service and professionalism from this particular staff member.
It is important to note that the comments may not represent the overall experience at Grace Barber Shop, as they are based on individual experiences. However, it is concerning that multiple negative experiences were shared, suggesting a pattern of inconsistent customer service and attention to detail at times.
In conclusion, while Grace Barber Shop has strengths such as experienced staff, affordable prices, and positive experiences from some customers, there are also weaknesses indicated by comments regarding attention to detail, customer service, and professionalism. Potential customers may want to consider these factors when deciding whether to visit Grace Barber Shop.

This is the first time in 38 years of my life that I wrote such review. I have never experienced such barber. Attention to details matter, He forgot to do above my ears, the sides still have hairs sticking high. I wish I could post my photo but I am embarrassed. I don’t even know what to say. There was a lady opposite of me she cut 3 while the guy I was with. I mean there is so much to say. I am sorry for this but I am sure other have had better experience and maybe it was the guy I was with.
Grace Barber Shop is a fantastic location owned and operated by a barber who began cutting hair on post (Ft.Meade) 20 years ago! She is a military spouse, Mother, Grandmother, and barber who has been a supportive member of the extended Ft. Meade community grooming servicemen and civilians alike. Call for an appointment or walk in, you won't be disappointed!
$17 men's haircut. Happy with the result. Primarily clippers on all clients. Wait around 30 minutes on Saturday afternoon.
Beard trim was done by an Asian lady for $15.00. The beard trim I received was terrible! The beard trim I requested was routine. While she cutting my beard she kept placing her hands over my mouth. Even if there was no Covid putting her hand over my mouth was unsanitary. After she said she had finished trimming my beard I looked in the mirror and saw hair fuzz on the the top of my mouth area that I had asked her earlier to remove. I asked her could she remove the hair fuzz. She then became angry and said “next time you go to black barber. Black barbers charge more, but next time you go to black barber. Afterwards she began speaking a foreign language to another Asian woman in the shop. I didn’t respond to her outburst. But it appeared to me that she felt very comfortable speaking to me, a black man the way she did. Possibly due to the new Asian Hate Crime Law. Whatever her reasons, her conduct was very unprofessional. This was my first time in the barbershop and my last time. There were no customers in the shop at the time I was in the shop. It could be due to the poor service. I would not recommend this barbershop to African Americans or veterans.
Been going here since I was 7, very kind staff and very skilled haircuttery
Excellent professional cutter lady. Definitely recommend to others.
I must admit, I am a little upset. I took my grandson to this barber shop on 175 in the same shopping center as Food Loin. When we walked in, no one said hi or welcome. The lady stayed on the phone, the man(Jerry) took his time coming to the front although he saw us, and when he came to the front. He was in a bad mood. I tried to smooth it over with kind words, but he was not in the mood. He was so nasty to me, he asked me if I wanted the lady to cut my grandson's hair. I was completely lost. I didn't know why he asked me that. I was shocked and speechless. Needless to say, he put us out. I was so glad. I didn't want that Spirit in my grandson head anyways. God blessed us with a better spirited person who was very welcoming. They should change the name From Grace to Bipolar Barber Shop. Oh before I forget, please remove the bible that's on the front table to the right if you don't stand by it. God please remove all counterfeits in that shop that using your name to bring people in their place of business for their profit. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
Thank you Jerry for a great hair cut! It has been 3 years since I've been to a barber shop for a haircut. I love my hair cut! You gave me exactly what I asked for. You took care of me with the utmost professionalism. The atmosphere was very calming and inviting. No long wait time and very efficient. Thanks again and I will be back!
