Quick Facts About Happy Puppy Pet Spa

Happy Puppy Pet Spa has several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the spa's groomer, Phyllis, is highly praised by multiple customers. Phyllis is described as patient, nice, and great with dogs. Her skills are particularly highlighted in the case of Toby, a 7-year-old Havanese who acts like a puppy. Toby and his owner highly recommend Happy Puppy Pet Spa, indicating that Phyllis provides excellent grooming services.
Additionally, the spa is commended for its convenient location. One customer states that they no longer have to travel all the way to Nokomis to find a good groomer, indicating that Happy Puppy Pet Spa fills a gap in the local area. This suggests that the spa is accessible and meets the needs of customers in the Venice, FL area.
Another strength mentioned is the professionalism and cleanliness of the spa. One customer mentions that pets are groomed one at a time, ensuring a clean environment and personalized attention. This can be appealing to customers who value cleanliness and individualized care for their pets.
Furthermore, the spa is praised for its affordable prices. One customer mentions that the pricing falls within the middle range, which suggests that the spa provides value for money. This can attract price-conscious customers who want quality service without breaking the bank.
However, there are also weaknesses that can be identified from the comments. One customer had a negative experience when asking about a missing collar. The groomer did not make an effort to find the collar or address the customer's concern, which led to disappointment and dissatisfaction. This highlights a potential weakness in customer service and attention to detail.
Additionally, there is a negative review regarding a grooming session. The customer's dog was left with red areas where the clippers had nicked its ear, belly, and bottom. The customer also expressed disappointment with the uneven haircut. This suggests a weakness in the grooming skills of the spa, as well as potential mishandling or lack of attention to detail during the grooming process.
Overall, Happy Puppy Pet Spa has strengths such as a skilled and loved groomer, convenient location, cleanliness, and affordability. However, there are weaknesses in customer service and the grooming process, as evidenced by the negative reviews. It is important for the spa to address these weaknesses to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.

Best TL Reviews

I discovered Happy Puppy Pet Spa when I moved to Venice, FL 2 years ago. My dog Toby (Havanese Age 7) loves being groomed by Phyllis. Despite being 7 years old, Toby acts like a puppy and Phyllis is great with him! Both Toby and I highly recommend Happy Puppy Pet Spa!
This was the first time we took our dogs here , and we are very pleased with her service. She was very nice and patient, we have found our new groomer ! And we don’t have to ho all the way to Nokomis for a less than stellar groomer .
I went back here the day after my dad brought our dog back home but he didn’t notice that her collar and bell was missing until he got back. We keep a bell on her collar separate from her harness so that we can hear where she is in the house. I went back to ask if she could give me back my dog’s collar - she was the last appointment before closing so I know she’d remember my dog’s name. She couldn’t be bothered so much to even really look to see if it was there. Just said “If she had one it would’ve been attached to her harness” whenI explained again that her collar is separate from her harness and not attached to it. And she just couldn’t be bothered. I know it’s not every service provider’s responsibility for anything that gets lost, but if it’s a groomer who’s providing care to a pet, cleaning your pet, cutting them and makingthem look nice with all the bows/bandannas, etc., the least they could do is make sure to put all of their belongings back on. If you’re looking for a groomer who pays attention to the dog’s belongings like their collars with licenses and other necessary tags on them and puts all of them back on your pet, which are pretty basic tasks, just go somewhere else.
Pyilis was very very nice gave my ???? Jeter excellent haircut and cut those claw nails to ???? nails . Love it I highly recommend Pyilis to cut ur fur puppies. Ty
Maribel nd Jay especially Neena 4 recommending Happy Puppy..
I know this place got some bad press. But she has never been anything but wonderful to my guy. Her cut are really good. I have taken him to other places around and not been as happy.
The best place to go quite clean one pet at a time back home in a few hours
My six year old dog has been going to groomers every 6-8 weeks since she's been a puppy, and throughout 3 different states (we were a military family), so we have a pretty good idea on what to expect from a groomer. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience with this groomer and will not be back. My husband dropped off our little girl and he felt the person checking her in wasn't very friendly, and ignored him to check out a couple who arrived AFTER he did, even though he was waiting there first at the desk. He was so annoyed that I went to pick her up. Now my little girl is usually pretty laid back at groomers and she loves to be fussed over, but when I got there she started whimpering and begging to leave. The person checking us out was a bit brusque, but I thought it was more her personality than an attempt to be rude so I wasn't bothered like my husband. But what did bother me was how my normally very sweet and easy going dog was very anxious on the way home; she was panting excessively (not like when she's hot, but the way a dog gets when they are upset) and trying to climb in my lap. I looked her over, and noticed at least 3 very red areas where the clippers must have gotten too close and nicked her ear, belly and bottom. I also didn't love her hair cut, her face and chin were uneven in spots. To be fair, she was overall clean and smelled nice. Just horribly unhappy with us even 2 hours later. Price wise, Happy Pets charged in the middle range (we've paid 35 in small towns up to 75 in Minneapolis), so not bad, but given how traumatized my little baby is, I can't give more than two stars. I'm disappointed since Happy Pets have other great reviews, but there are many
other groomers in Venice that we'll go somewhere else instead.
Phyllis was awesome with my Morkipoo! She really helped me out when I couldn’t find any groomers available til March! I will definitely be back! Thank you soo much Phyllis!❤️
