Quick Facts About Hatton Locks Cafe
The Hatton Locks Cafe has a number of strengths that make it a popular destination for visitors. Firstly, the cafe is praised for its delicious food and drinks. Customers specifically mention the "leckerer Kuchen" (delicious cake) and "super Frühstück" (great breakfast). The cafe offers a wide variety of food options, including world-famous scones and a fantastic choice of cakes. The bacon & cheese burger is also highly recommended as a refueling option after a long walk along the canal.
Secondly, the cafe's location is another strength. Situated right on the canal-side, customers can enjoy the lovely setting and watch the narrowboats go through the locks. The location also offers the opportunity for a leisurely walk along the flight of 21 locks near Hatton. Many visitors mention the beautiful area and the enjoyable walk as reasons to visit the cafe. The cafe is easily accessible, with a car park at the lock and a short walk up to the cafe.
Another strength of the Hatton Locks Cafe is the friendly and personalized engagement from the staff/owners. Customers appreciate the welcoming and attentive service they receive when visiting the cafe. This adds to the overall positive experience and makes customers feel valued.
Value for money is also mentioned as a strength of the cafe. Customers praise the great prices of the food and drinks, considering the quality and taste. This makes the cafe an attractive option for those looking for a budget-friendly but satisfying meal.
Despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses that should be taken into consideration. One potential weakness is the busyness of the cafe. While it is mentioned that customers are served quickly even when the cafe is busy, the high influx of visitors may result in longer wait times during peak hours. This could potentially affect the overall experience for some customers.
Additionally, as the cafe is located on the canal, it may not be easily accessible for those without transportation. While there is a car park available, those relying on public transportation may find it inconvenient to reach the cafe.
Lastly, although the cafe offers a wide variety of food options, some customers may feel that there could be more vegetarian or vegan choices available. Catering to different dietary preferences and restrictions could attract a wider range of customers.
Overall, the Hatton Locks Cafe has numerous strengths that contribute to its popularity. From its delicious food and drinks to its beautiful location and friendly staff, the cafe offers a great experience for visitors. While there are a few potential weaknesses, such as busyness and accessibility, these can be managed with proper planning and consideration.

Lovely little canal cafe, great value and great food. Was here for a Friday lunch and although busy we were served quickly. Good coffee and plenty of food / cake options (reportedly world famous scones, and those that ordered seemed to be very satisfied)
We didn't want to stop at a service station on the M40 and have now found our new stop for journeys. Car park at the lock and short walk up to the cafe.
Lovely area with lovely staff. Sit in or outside and watch the narrowboats go through the locks. 21 in total and a lovely walk. Lots of choice of food and drink in the cafe. Well worth a visit.
Love this place ❤️ great personalised engagement from staff/owners. Lovely setting on the canal, fabulous choice of food at great price. Brie toastie and wild Berry sponge cake both were delicous, fantastic choice of cakes would recommend.
Very well located cafe right on the canal-side. The bacon & cheese burger with a coffee was perfect for refueling after an 8.5 mile walk along the canal & surrounding areas. Seating indoors & outside. Loads of choice of snacks, drinks, and ice cream etc.
Have wanted for a while to take a stroll along the flight of 21 locks near Hatton, and noticing this place on Google Maps sealed it. After a 2 mile walk up from the C&RT Car Park by the bottom lock, we were ready for something delicious and this Cafe didn't disappoint. Though it was about noon when we got there, we tried their excellent breakfast and, well worth it (note the black pudding is an optional extra)
Really lovely cafe in a great location. Scones are delicious! Good coffee too. Well worth a visit. We walked along the canal from Warwick.
