I wish I could rate this 0 stars. i got butterfly locs and my hair started unraveling the second I stepped outside the store, the locs were all different lengths and everything was just awful. currently trying to take down the hair and everything is just a tangled mess. she changed me almost $200 for hair that barely passed my shoulders. never in my life have I felt so ugly after leaving a hair salon. never coming back here again
Honestly I'm sad about the all the money I've spent. The quality of work, professionalism, communication, it was all bad...spent 5 to 6 hours for a retwist because they booked multiple people at once. My stylist was doing someone's box braids, just started them and stopped her hair after almost an hour and half of me waiting to start my hair. She did the same thing when I got my hair twisted the first time. Instead of finishing my hair, she took another client in between. Another stylist there had 6 ppl waiting on her simultaneously. My first retwist though was terrible, hair wasn't washed properly, the water or soap didn't even touch the dreads in the back, I didn't get the style I asked for, they were bushy and unravelling within a day or so, ecostyler was used so it was itchy and flaky pretty quickly, Instead of braiding the dreads together for the style (like the picture I showed her) she took tiny black rubber bands to hold the hair together. It wasnt secure whatsoever. Because I'm new to dreads I didn't know what to expect and if this was normal. I finally went to a different salon and was surprised by the difference in quality of work. The new stylist I went to was on time, took her time, properly washed my hair, retwisted every single dread carefully, and did the exact style I wanted and it was tight and fairly priced. Will never go back to the Loc Room/Headquarters again....anyone choosing to go here make sure you plan to be there at least half the day, even for simple styles.
I made an appointment on Jan 12 for braids at 9am today, Jan 18. I set my schedule and changed my flight home to California around my appointment. I got there 10 minutes early to park and ensure we started on time. No one ever responded to my calls to confirm or voicemails I left, which have my contact info. No one showed up. I didn't even receive a call stating that the appointment was off. COVID or snow is no excuse for the lack of communication. This was extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. Never again.

Had a 2:30 appointment for today. I set my schedule around my appointment so that I could make it. I get there 20 minutes early and no was there. No one ever showed up. I didn't even receive a call stating that the appointment was off. Never again.
Not good.. I made an appointment for 9am. After waiting for over an hour no one showed up. As I was leaving another stylist just shrugged her shoulders as I was leaving. No apology or explanation... NOTHING

I love this salon! Akousia is my stylist and she does amazing work with my thick, course hair each time it's styled. Great salon, great atmosphere with professional stylists that can to anything you want done!!!
Very unprofessional, I made a appointment at 12 and waited over a hour. Nobody even started my hair. This also happen last time I went there. Only reason I got in quicker was because somebody cancelled on them.
