High Springs Country Inn has both strengths and weaknesses, as mentioned in the various comments above. It is important to note that the comments reflect individual experiences and opinions, and may not apply to everyone's experience at the inn.
One major strength of High Springs Country Inn is its location. It is conveniently situated near several attractions, such as O'Leno State Park and Ichetucknee Springs, making it a good choice for those looking to explore the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, it is mentioned that there is a nice restaurant nearby, as well as a mini golf course and a Circle K, offering convenience and entertainment options for guests. The comment also mentions that the inn is not far from I75, making it easily accessible for travelers passing through.
Another strength mentioned in the comments is the friendliness of the staff. It is noted that the person attending to the guests was polite, creating a positive impression of the customer service. This is an important attribute for a hotel or inn, as friendly and attentive staff can greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Moving on to the weaknesses of High Springs Country Inn, several comments highlight issues with cleanliness and maintenance. In one comment, it is mentioned that the room had black mold in the bathroom, an inch of dust on the drapes and walls, and a bathroom door that wouldn't shut. Another comment mentions cobwebs and bugs in the room, as well as stains on furniture and pillowcases. These cleanliness and maintenance issues are significant concerns for guests and can greatly detract from their overall experience at the inn.
One comment also mentions thin walls, leading to noise disturbances from neighboring rooms. This lack of soundproofing can be a major inconvenience for guests who value privacy and a quiet environment during their stay. Additionally, it is mentioned that the bedsheets and blankets were in poor condition in one of the rooms, indicating a lack of attention to detail and quality control in housekeeping.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of security in one of the rooms. One comment notes that the door was not very secure and remained loose even when locked. This is a significant concern for guests, as it compromises their safety and peace of mind during their stay.
Finally, there is also a comment regarding a negative interaction with a person outside of the inn, who heckled a guest while walking to a nearby CVS. While this may not directly reflect on the inn itself, it does highlight a potential safety concern in the surrounding neighborhood.
In conclusion, High Springs Country Inn has strengths such as its convenient location and friendly staff. However, it also has several weaknesses including cleanliness and maintenance issues, lack of soundproofing, security concerns, and potential safety concerns in the surrounding neighborhood. It is important for potential guests to consider these factors when making a decision about staying at the inn.

We had a wedding to attend this weekend, 12/17, at O'Leno State Park. Reserved a room for the night. There were about 20 of us staying at this inn. Our room was #14. King bed. Check in was fine but the room was disgusting. The bathrooms have black mold. The bathroom door wouldn't shut. There was an inch of dust on the drapes and all over the walls. The TV didn't work because I didn't have a cable box. The worst was when my husband came to bed he felt something on his arm. He used his cell phone flashlight to see what it was. Well it was a cockroach! Not a palmetto bug but a german cockroach. He killed it and didn't tell me until I woke up. Needless to say I jumped out of bed, shook every piece of clothing, my duffle bag, my purse and shoes and then packed up and left. When we went to check out the door was locked and no one was there. I took pictures because I wanted to show the owner. Ugh.
Wow, very spacious. Across the street from really great restaurant, With a mini golf. You can walk 2 nice parks. And walking distance from Circle K. ????
Nice stay. Friendly staff.
We're glad that we found a room for less than a $100 a night on a moments notice.
Merry Christmas to all.
Positive: The hotel is very close to Ichetucknee Springs. Staff was very nice and left key for us since we were arriving at 10pm. The room was big. If you just need to sleep and be close to springs, then this is ok, if not you should skip staying here. Negative: The walls were very thin, we could hear the snoring person in the room next door. There were a couple of dead bugs on floor. It is really old, needed floor swept and bathroom sink colander cleaned.
Positive: Although this was a typical older motel, it was very clean and as a woman by myself I felt safe. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. Parking close to room and a very nice "Mom & Pop" restaurant nearby. Not far from I75.
Positive: The person who attended us was very polite Negative: The low quality of the room, bed and sheets and blankets were not in good condition. We ended up leaving the same day because we felt we could not afford to stay there.
My brother and I checked in around 4:30, when unlocking door I noticed that the door was not very secure, even when locked it was still loose. Then we had a big hair ball in sink, cobwebs with bugs in room, visible hand prints on head boards, stains on furniture and blood stains on pillow cases. At first management was skeptical of what I complained about so they walked down. Only acknowledged that the blood stains were an issue and gave us a half refund. Plus I walked to the cvs which was a quarter mile down the road and got heckled by a man the entire time who looped his car back around 2 times to yell at me more.
It's the second time we have visited the inn. Great location. Not to far of a drive after spending all day tubing the lazy river. Definitely will stay there again.
