May be one of the best haircuts I have had in a while. Owner didn’t strike me as friendly when I walked in but she warmed up to me and was really nice by the time I left. Don’t judge her by first appearances. I have “problem hair” (sticks out if not cut just right) and she listened to me explain, made a suggestion, and then did an awesome job. I will be back

I'm not exactly sure of the shops name whom have closed next to Holly Barber, but each share a parking space with this particular facility. A company that I went in to see bought out the space, and the signs have not been updated, it would be safe to assume they share the parking spaces the aformentioned do. As I was struggling to get my kids into my car, an individual who I can only assume to be the owner, yelled for my attention. My kids unbuckled and unruly, I turned my attention to her, perhaps thinking I dropped something important etc. She crudely tells me "this is my parking space and I'm going to start towing your car if I see you park here again". Further through the conversation she accused me of parking there all the time despite the fact I rarely do (In all honestly, I've parked there a maximum of two times throughout the course of 6mo, and this case was due to the fact the parking spaces I usually park at were full. That being said, lately I've been parking further to get walking points on my Pokemon go game and to get snacks at the local dollar store, but we were late that day - anyway, that's beside the point.) I informed her of the verbiage on the sign and my assumption, in which she said she was going to get them changed, all the while still threating me that she was going to tow any car that parks there in the future if they were not a customer of Holly Barber. If she would have informed me POLITELY that in the future the parking situation would be altered by stating only her customers would be able to use that area, then I would have no qualms with my mistake. But the rude, Karen-archetype threatening was absolutely uncalled for at the end of my busy Friday, 5:25pm. She also frightened my ASD daughter and I had to deal with that when I got home.
Because the barber shop is so close to many of the events my daughter attends, I was contemplating receiving services from this particular barber shop for both my daughters haircuts, but the off-putting and uncalled for reprimendation has altered my perspective.
That being said, I have rarely seen this barber shop service anyone, but I wouldn't go since I would imagine the customer service being so rude. I also understand the individuals intentions were to protect the parking space of the mysterious customers she has coming in during the half hour she spends closing her shop, but running a business is about harbouring healthy connections and relationships between potential and current customers.
Edit: it's been 2 weeks since this interaction and she still hasn't gotten new signs indicating that users of the premier building can't use the parking spaces.
Kelly is awesome! She's so very good at what she does and she does it quickly and does an amazing job! My boys love her!
